"Maru, could you stop jumping? It’s making dizzy..."

Leon helplessly watched the petite figure jumping around ahead and covered his forehead in exasperation.

"Hey, jump! Slash! Jump! Slash!"

Maru laughed happily as she leaped into the air, the rcenary dual blades in her hands fluttering like butterflies, swiftly dispatching the Crow Man in front of her.

Before dying, the Crow Man exhibited a strange phenonon; the wound suddenly gushed blood everywhere, covering Maru completely.

Completely drenched in blood, she laughed loudly and continued to leap and slash other Crow n, whose dying screams eerily resembled those from the Yarn film set.

"I think Maru’s ntal state is concerning." Tal worriedly shook Drew’s shoulder: "Why don’t you try using a calming technique on her?"

Drew looked at his own short legs, his mouth twitching as he said:

"I can’t catch up."

When Maru first held the rcenary Dual Blades, two thods of use appeared in her mind.

One was rapid dual-blade slashing, using her agility to avoid enemies while making quick cuts to inflict nurous wounds.

The other was leaping and then slashing down; however, this move required so skill and wasn’t about just a straightforward downward chop.

The sudden appearance of these techniques in her mind felt like the Wolf Blood-based visions seen by Fran Guards of the giant wolf Shif dancing with a sword. She could actively learn to perform them herself or choose to let the weapon guide her, much like the principle of using weapon-affixed combat skills.

But handing her body over to the weapon didn’t feel safe, so she decided to slowly learn how to use the dual blades in combat.

The problem arose: the rcenary Dual Blades were evidently from Dark Souls 3, so why did leaping techniques appear?

Because, even though the Undead don’t have knees, adventurers do!

Maru once acquired a Corpse Stripping Curved Sword, and at that ti, no leaping techniques erged, hence supplying her with them now.

A dungeon capable of patching at any ti — isn’t it magical?

"Maru, calm down first!"

Leon and the others quickly chased after the playfully leaping Maru, finding themselves inadvertently running down into a dilapidated structure. As they passed through it, another na appeared before them.

[Punishnt Forest]

"Boss, we have new enemies!"

The group followed Maru’s voice and saw a vast forest ahead, roaming with Animated Corpses wielding crude, sharpened wooden spears — or, more accurately, re pointed sticks, too crude to even be called spears.

The Animated Corpses wobbled as they walked, holding the heavy wooden sticks as if they might topple over at any mont, looking extrely frail.

Looking around, the forest was filled with these types of monsters, densely packed, with so even accompanied by Hounds.

However, despite their seemingly harmless appearance, they posed no threat to Leon and the others, instead inciting a feeling that:

I can mow through them for pure enjoynt!

That’s what Maru thought, and that’s what she did.

She charged into a small group of wooden stick Animated Corpses, first taking out the nimblest Hound, then practiced leaping slashes on the Animated Corpses.

What can one say — although rapid slashing was violently satisfying, leaping slashes were even more thrilling, giving her a feeling of soaring high.

This weapon felt almost crafted for soone like her, an assassin-type who values body agility!

As she was engrossed in her leaping slashes, an Animated Corpse behind her raised a pointed stick towards her.

"Maru, behind you!"

"I saw it, boss. You don’t have to worry, I can handle these by myself."

As the Animated Corpse charged with the wooden stick, Maru dodged low, severing the Animated Corpse’s knee and plunging her sword into its head as it fell, then flicked the blood off her blade.

The combo move looked pretty cool.

Just then, Maru realized the nearby Animated Corpses had encircled her, charging like a train with their wooden sticks raised.

"Do you think I don’t have knees?"

She leaped high, causing the Animated Corpses’ attacks to miss, spinning her body to throw her dual blades, piercing through two Animated Corpses’ heads. With a hand gesture, the blades surprisingly returned to her, revealing magic threads twining around the hilt, connecting precisely to her fingers.

While Maru was showboating her skills, Leon saw an Animated Corpse charge with a wooden stick. After a mont’s thought, he raised his shield towards it.

He assud it would be a normal test of strength, but...

"Hmm... huh?"

Leon suddenly couldn’t stop retreating, a look of surprise on his face.

The strength of these Animated Corpses was unexpectedly significant, charging with wooden sticks like a moving chariot!

If it had been a weaker shield, it probably would’ve been pierced by now.

"Tal, help out."

Tal punched an Animated Corpse away, allowing Leon to lower his shield. If he hadn’t raised it for defense, he would’ve been heavily injured. These seemingly insignificant Animated Corpses could instantly unleash powerful forces.

Sain’s monsters truly should never be underestimated.

Realizing the power of the wooden stick Animated Corpses, Maru’s actions now seed like dancing on the edge of a knife to Leon. He quickly dashed over to eliminate the Animated Corpses and held Maru’s small head to sternly lecture her, finally calming her thrill-seeking for leaping slashes a bit.
