Considering Gong Qiying has modified the map, it’s impossible to determine their location using the original ga map.
But after walking a bit further, they stumbled upon a secluded corner, where several bookshelves were cramd with scrolls, and the desk had unfinished scrolls, as if soone had been here not long ago.
Looking at the scrolls densely packed together, Leon suddenly felt an urge to roll over them; it must be quite decompressing.
"Hey, there are books here."
Maru picked up a glowing item.
[Notebook of Obeck from Bieheim]
[Notes left by a magician from Bieheim, docunting so of his magical knowledge. The handwriting is completely illegible, but if illuminated by Magic Radiance, it might allow the bearer to learn his magic]
This item actually needs to be used at Lake Lienia?
This seems to be the adventurers’ first discovery of an item that connects two different areas.
"Leon, do you have a feeling," Drew suddenly said, "that this newly appeared area seems designed to accommodate newcors."
Hearing this, Leon imdiately had empathy, saying:
"The Path of Living Sacrifice can acquire the rcenary Dual Blades, a decent weapon. Killing Crow n and people carrying cages might yield Forging Stones for weapon upgrades. Animated Corpses with wooden rods drop small soul fragnts, aiding self or weapon upgrades, while Wolfn carry Detoxification Moss Balls and Green Flower Grass, which target the poison pool and slowing effect in Fran Fort. I can’t figure out what those Big Crabs are for; maybe they are practice for entering Lake Lienia in the future?"
"The monsters here have a certain challenge; a bit of carelessness could lead to death. But if one is cautious enough and lucky, it’s a great place for training."
"This new area is very suitable for newbie training, far more appropriate than Fran Fort currently."
It seems like this place is ant to quickly elevate newcors who aren’t strong enough to challenge Fran Fort!
Indeed, this is Sain Dungeon’s strategy of nurturing adventurers.
Fran Fort, as a newbie map, still has too much difficulty to enter, hence the need for the Path of Living Sacrifice; here, ordinary people can be quickly leveled up to tens or even twenty, exceeding level twenty. Afterward, the souls provided here beco completely insufficient, and exploring other areas of Sain is necessary.
Then, what can adventurers do in other areas at only level twenty? The result is self-evident.
Such a newbie map as the Path of Living Sacrifice can create an illusion for fast-growing adventurers that "if I put in so effort, I can clear the Dungeon." Dying a few days in other areas is enough to earn back the spiritual power resources invested by the Dungeon in their training early on, and afterward, it’s pure earnings of spiritual power.
Even if soone leaves post leveling, it doesn’t matter; the majority will not forget the joy of quickly enhancing their strength at the bonfire, which genuinely enhances one’s power and is more addictive than ice.
After experiencing leveling up, can one really settle down to slowly train themselves?
Based on the willpower most people can’t resist smoking and drinking, I fear few can refuse to stay in Sain Dungeon.
Though the new area is a blessing for newbies, it’s sowhat boring for veteran adventurers like Leon, lacking sufficient exciting elents. Perhaps it should be left for real newbies to explore for a better show outco.
Veterans like them, who can think of eighteen different ambush tactics just by looking at a bush... should obediently challenge high-difficulty bosses and not make it dull for themselves.
Just as Leon had such thoughts, he saw a pitch-black figure standing straight not far away.
[Black Knight], a Black Knight with a strength rating of C .
Alright, I retract my previous statent, there are exciting things here after all!
Everyone quietly chose to bypass the Black Knight, not even picking up the purple light point behind him.
But the earlier Black Knight seed to be Sain’s little joke; afterward, it was more ordinary monsters along the way, gradually leading people to relax.
When reaching the end, in a rundown building, they encountered two humanoid enemies guarding it.
[Exile],[Holy Exile].
Both enemies were Fran Guards.
Exile wore seemingly cool armor, exuding a murderous aura, carrying the Exile’s Greatsword on his shoulder with sweat glistening off it, self-evidently not an average figure.
And the Holy Exile’s appearance was even more avant-garde. Compared to the original, Gong Qiying made slight modifications to him.
Actually, just changed a weapon and wore heavy armor; the original Holy Exile wielded a large club, but here, it was changed to Doran Gureg’s large chicken leg — [Molten Iron Hamr].
Noticing the adventurers, Holy Exile wiped so Thunder grease on the Molten Iron Hamr, turning the large chicken leg into a Golden Chicken Leg.
People were scared just by looking at the size of that thing.
"The earlier enemies weren’t too strong, excluding the Black Knight," Maru said, "though intimidating, they shouldn’t be too strong, right?"
"Better be safe," Leon cautioned, everyone drew their weapons.
As Drew applied Beneficial Magic to the group, the two Exiles rushed over. Leon single-handedly blocked Exile, while Tal and Maru went to halt Holy.
"A warrior wielding heavy weaponry must be a slow-paced fool."
Maru took the lead, lunged towards Holy with a jumping slash, shouting, "I won’t fear you!"
"Clang—"
Sparks flew, her palm ached from the recoil force, upon seeing, the rcenary Dual Blades only left so marks on the opponent’s heavy armor, likely not causing any actual damage!
Heavy armor enemies, lifelong rivals to agile weapons.
"Tch, as expected, it’s useless."
Maru, witnessing the Golden Chicken Leg being swung towards her, showcased a move, narrowly dodging the attack by a few centiters, with a mocking smile at the corner of her mouth.
"Boom!!!"
An unprecedented loud sound froze her smile on her face, powerful wind blew her hair wildly, and the ground beside her instantly caved a large chunk!
"Eh?"
Maru’s expression suddenly stiffened, she quiveringly glanced to her side.
To see the Molten Iron Hamr deeply embedded in the ground, pulling up with a series of rubble, as if hearing the earth mother’s lant.
At that mont, her mind flashed through many things, from the Big Bang to what to have for dinner tonight, almost like viewing her life’s highlights.
If she hadn’t dodged and got hit just now...
Perhaps her height would beco lower than Dwarf Drew?
"Well, um..."
She retreated like a frightened kitten, saying, "Looks like you’re in good health huh..."
Holy Exile ignored her deanor; lifted the Molten Iron Hamr, ready for another strike.
Maru bolted, shouting:
"Why are you guarding here when you have such strength!"
Hearing that, Holy Exile, as if boasting, took another Molten Iron Hamr from the nearby bushes.
Dual wielding big chicken legs, today he is the truth!
"You’re wearing heavy armor and wielding two large hamrs, can you really still run?"
