Elsa followed the Brass Woman’s suggestion and decided not to try and bypass the Stone Statue Ghost by walking along the beams; instead, she went in pursuit of the Sun Warrior’s footsteps.
Why did she know it was the Sun Warrior, you ask?
Because who other than a Sun Warrior would carry a Sun Badge with them, and the Brass Woman even ntioned that he had the sa oath as her.
Before, she had been dragged by Sali to make the Sun Oath, supposedly to reap so benefits from the Dungeon, but so far, she hadn’t helped anyone even once.
She stood at the edge of the main road and watched for a while, discovering that apart from the beam that connected directly from the road to the building filled with Painting ssengers, the other beams—though appearing to be closely knit and crisscrossed—couldn’t be crossed due to the large gaps between them.
If she left her weapon behind, perhaps she could jump across, but that didn’t ensure she could land steadily, let alone if jumping triggered unexpected retaliatory actions from the Dungeon.
What if the sa strong wind that arose when she fought the Painting ssengers earlier struck the mont she leaped?
She might have to call Robert for help.
At this point, a bird Beastman or a Magician skilled in the Flying Skill would be quite handy, but even a Hook Claw would do.
"If not walking along the beams, then..."
Elsa glanced at the main road where the Stone Statue Ghosts were prowling, which directly connected to the spiral staircase chanism.
"We’ll have to go this way."
In the end, she would still have to fight the Stone Statue Ghosts. What was the point of all her previous efforts-she had been running in circles and had suffered for nothing.
Just for the Dungeon’s amusent, perhaps.
"Slow and steady, slow and steady."
Muttering softly, she used the Flying Knife she received from the Painting ssenger to lure the Stone Statue Ghost on the bridge, and an intense battle was about to break out.
The Sword Corpse Greatsword lived up to its legendary reputation. Even though the adventurer held a replica, it could still inflict significant damage on the Stone Statue Ghosts, with their already hard skin now further reinforced, perhaps thanks to Elsa’s own strength.
When she struck the Stone Statue Ghost, it staggered, bearing deep scars.
When the Stone Statue Ghost hit her, she didn’t stagger due to her Vengeful Oath, but she still got injured.
Once she no longer pursued a no-damage approach, Elsa’s combat style gradually beca bolder, her confidence stemming from the supplies she carried.
If she drank down all her Elental Bottles, she probably wouldn’t dare to act so recklessly.
"Bam!"
Finally seizing the chance to get behind the Stone Statue Ghost, she slashed with her sword, and with a satisfying cracking sound, the Stone Statue Ghost’s tail was successfully severed!
Even more miraculously, the mont the tail hit the ground, its form transford, appearing like an axe.

Elsa’s eyes lit up, finally obtaining a weapon that could sowhat be used for ranged attack techniques!
She imdiately distanced herself from the Stone Statue Ghost, forcefully hacking forward. The Stone Statue Ghost Tail Axe’s handle elongated by about two ters, hitting the Stone Statue Ghost’s toe with a thud, seemingly causing much pain.
After an intense combat session, Elsa mastered the Stone Statue Ghost Tail Axe and claid victory, with only a sip’s worth left in her Elental Bottle.
After much hesitation, she finally returned to the bonfire to refill her Elental Bottle, but this ant the Monsters she defeated would be resurrected. Based on her previous battle experience, she reckoned facing the resurrected Stone Statue Ghost wouldn’t cause such a shortage of Elental Bottles again.
However, when she returned to the main road guarded by the Stone Statue Ghost, she was pleasantly surprised to find the Stone Statue Ghost she defeated hadn’t resurrected, leaving only the one clinging to the roadside.
"Great!"
A simple word held so much bittersweet emotion. This was the second great thing she encountered after entering Yanor Londo; the first was getting the Elental Bottle from the Brass Woman.
The sound of footsteps ca closer. She cautiously approached the Stone Statue Ghost that she thought was hiding decently well. She was right there, and yet it was still unresponsive?
No matter, now she just needs to... accelerate!
Elsa kicked the Stone Statue Ghost’s fingers. As it let go in pain, it would plumt downward, but the Stone Statue Ghost had wings, allowing it to fly back up halfway.
Yet, by the ti the Monster flew back up, she had already dashed into the spiral staircase, vigorously turning the chanism.
"Rum-rum-rumble..."
The chanism whirred into action. Knowing it couldn’t reach her in ti, the Stone Statue Ghost halted midway.
It could fly down to chase, but for so reason, it didn’t. Elsa took things as they were, not provoking it.
If another livelier adventurer were in her place, they’d probably be madly taunting the Stone Statue Ghost.
Elsa caught her breath, simultaneously observing her surroundings. From what she could see, the spiral staircase seed capable of stopping at three levels: upper, middle, and lower. The level she was just at was the upper one.
When the stairs groaned to a stop in the middle level, she seed to understand why the Stone Statue Ghost from the upper level didn’t follow her down — because there was another one on this level too!
As the spiral staircase ca to a halt, the Stone Statue Ghost, like a high schooler rushing to the cafeteria at the sound of the bell, scrambled towards Elsa.
