Now reading: Chapter 679 - 448: The Cleared Painting World from Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?, a Adventure novel by Moonlit Penglai Princess.

Before leaving the Royal City, she hoped to resolve so regrets, and conquering the Painting World ’Sword Wind Legend’ was one of them. After researching with Sali for two days, she finally found the best strategy to clear it. Even alone, she could protect the mbers of the Eagle Group until the end.

The growth in power brought her more confidence! It made her believe she could protect what she wanted to protect.

Ainz III, already exhausted from the slaughter, looked at Elsa, who never seed to tire, and couldn’t help but show a look of envy.

Under no circumstances should the mbers of the Eagle Group be slaughtered in large numbers, which made the apostle monsters even more violent, as nurous as a ferocious black sea. Yet Elsa stood as a stabilizing force; as long as she existed, the monsters couldn’t stir up any trouble.

This defense battle lasted for an unknown length of ti, until the scene froze completely, and the ending image, symbolizing the conclusion, arrived.

Only then did Elsa breathe a sigh of relief, for this ant she had once again cleared this Painting World.

In the expectant gaze of Ainz III, the image began to operate.

What appeared before them was still a scene of despair. Dark Wing Griffith completed his transformation, spreading deep despair towards Gus. Everything unfolded just like the image when they failed.

Ainz III showed a strange expression. Surely, this scene would only deepen the unease in his heart!

Yet, at that mont, a turning point arrived.

The black sun hanging above the Erosion suddenly appeared with dense cracks, and in an instant, the sun shattered with a roar!

The demons turned their disbelieving eyes to see the Skeleton Knight, like an Overlord, bursting into the Erosion. With a casual swing of the Longsword, countless monsters were decapitated!

Even Griffith, who exhibited faultless prowess, was helpless against him.

The Skeleton Knight suddenly appeared, killing monsters with a swift move to rescue Gus, then decisively turned and escaped the Erosion with him!

The screen was engulfed in darkness.

Ainz III turned to look at Elsa. He roughly understood why she said this Painting World could alleviate his unease.

Perhaps she wanted to use this character to coincidentally correspond to so bizarre story, telling him that even the seemingly invincible Dark Wing couldn’t bring total despair. There will always be people like Gus who rise in resistance, always ushering in a glimr of hope.

Feeling like he understood, Ainz III chuckled a little, warming up a bit more to this Hero.

Unfortunately, from the ending of the story, Gus still showed no possibility of successfully achieving revenge. Although there was a bit of hope, it wasn’t much.

He, Ainz III, was already past the age where he’d be inspired by a sliver of hope. He could only thank the Hero for her goodwill.

It’s rare to encounter such a kind-hearted Hero. She’s about to embark on a journey, isn’t she? As the King, I should give her so travel money properly.

As Ainz III pondered over what to give Elsa as a token of gratitude upon leaving, the previously darkened scene suddenly brightened again.

Ainz III quickly raised his head, as the sound of an ambitious eagle’s cry ca from beside him, seemingly carrying an enchanting power, causing him to frown deeply.

A White Eagle flew in the sky, followed by more and more followers. Whether monsters or humans, they gazed at the White Eagle with eyes full of admiration.

Compared to the glorious White Eagle, the Black Dog, battered and scarred on the ground, appeared so pitiful. Countless monsters attacked him, he fought tirelessly day and night, never resting for a mont, his blood-red eyes forever locked on the White Eagle, vowing revenge.

The White Eagle flew higher and higher, majestic and grand, its capital city rising from the ground under its claws, while the Black Dog’s every attack couldn’t even touch it, making his situation increasingly desperate.

The screen flickered, and a greatsword as thick as an Iron Block slashed through the air, splitting the screen into black and white.

The Black Dog’s angry roar exploded, and the White Eagle let out a sharp screech.

As Ainz III’s eyes gradually widened, watching that arrogant White Eagle fall from the sky, the further it fell, the blacker its white feathers beca, until it crashed to the ground and, at the mont of death, had beco a ghastly, ugly blob of muck!

The greatsword descended from the heavens, plunging straight into the muck with a heavy thud:

"Boom—"

Finally detaching himself from the image, Ainz III’s breathing grew heavier. He looked at Elsa, his eyes gleaming with a desperate desire for answers.

If the White Eagle and Black Dog corresponded to Griffith and Gus, then what this last segnt of the image represented, could it an that the man had finally succeeded in his revenge!?

But how could that be possible? The power difference between the two sides had grown to such a despairing degree. How could he possibly win?

eting Ainz III’s gaze, Elsa nodded and then shrugged, indicating her guess was the sa as Ainz III’s, but as for how Gus ultimately achieved his revenge, she also did not know the process.

But not knowing the process didn’t matter.

At the mont he saw Elsa nod, the latent unease in Ainz III’s eyes quickly dissipated!

If Gus, a re mortal, could successfully take revenge against the godlike dark figure Griffith.

Then the challenges he faced as Ainz III were insignificant! More so since Eliphas was already dead, and the Hidden Dull Star was banished by the Gods. Even his Beastification showed signs of improvent!
