This was a conversation that happened not long ago.
[Youlesa: Gedwin, I have the permission here to instantly restore the Teleportation Gate, do you want to use it?]
[Sure, sure]
[Panson: Brother Gedwin, I have the permission to make the Teleportation Gate look cooler, wanna try it?]
[Sure, sure]
[Gladiator: Hey, since you’re here, I also have to show so appreciation, this permission can expand the number of people entering the Teleportation Gate simultaneously]
[Sure, sure]
It’s good to have connections; even when going to unfamiliar places, you can feel the warmth of ho.
And the result of this collective indulgence from the City Lords is...
The tablet at Tepi Mansion moved.
At this mont, in Black Stone City, Tepi Mansion.
"This mansion was just completed so ti ago, every part designed by seasoned mbers of the Architects’ Association. Whether in terms of artistic content or practicality, I can say it’s number one in this Black Stone City."
Tepi spoke with so pride, clearly very invested in this mansion; this was the first ti he had boasted about it to others.
Imagine, he left ho with only a small amount of wealth, running to the unfamiliar Warrior Country to live a second life. During this ti, he encountered a series of unfortunate events, including but not limited to being beaten up by his own son a second ti. Normally, a person would have collapsed.
Yet he managed to quickly pick himself up after the teor Shower incident, revitalizing his spirits, and made his business in the Warrior Country thrive, becoming a rising nouveau riche—not sothing just anyone can do!
Even Tepi himself feels proud of the achievents he’s made today!
Of course, being proud doesn’t an he’s completely imrsed in business; he has never abandoned his initial goal, and it is precisely this goal that has supported him in persisting.
In the brilliantly blossoming garden pavilion, Uffie and the others sat here, enjoying the scent of flowers and resting, while having to listen to Tepi speak.
This spot is excellent, offering a full view of the entire garden, with its fluttering wild bees, swaying fallen leaves, and commorative Dungeon tablet clearly in sight. The mixed but mild floral fragrance slowly drifts here with the help of the Wind attribute Magic Array buried in the garden. The types of flowers planted here are very carefully chosen, thus the mixed floral scent has a soothing effect.
This is just a garden, enough to show how much Tepi cares about this mansion.
It’s the first ti Uffie has seen a rich rchant invite her to a garden, which indicates Tepi’s unique taste—much fresher and more refined than ordinary wealthy rchants. Coupled with his decent understanding of Martial Art Combat Skill, her impression of him unexpectedly rose.
She originally ca with a casual attitude but didn’t expect to et soone quite impressive, Uffie thought.
Compared to her, Fanen and Isha seed much simpler.
At the mont, the two were completely enchanted by the premium tea served by the attendants, sipping the fragrant tea with great enjoynt and lanting over what kind of garbage tea they had been drinking in the first half of their lives.
It seems the Reid people all have a gourmand nature in their very bones...
Tepi was still speaking, essentially showcasing his value to Uffie for potential cooperation. He had heard of Uffie’s personality—seemingly carefree and wild but actually ticulous—and she was also the daughter of the Sword Saint, making her a valuable partner.
He just didn’t expect that he would actually get to et her, thinking figures of such stature wouldn’t pay attention to a rchant like him. So, when the opportunity ca, he had to seize it imdiately.
That being said, appearing too profit-driven and crass would counteract his efforts, so Tepi maintained a modest deanor.
Just as he wanted to say more, Uffie suddenly raised her hand, stopping him from continuing.
Could it be that she got annoyed with listening? Tepi’s face stiffened for a mont.
"Mr. Basque," Uffie propped her face with one hand, smiling as she said, "you truly are a rare talent, so congratulations, I believe we can have a longer collaboration."
"Lady Uffie, you won’t regret today’s choice."
Tepi took a deep breath, suppressing his excitent, and responded courteously.
"Then, to celebrate today’s achievent, how about I prepare a banquet also to welco you, Lady Uffie?"
As he said this, Tepi was already thinking about what he could achieve utilizing Uffie’s status. He had a comprehensive plan in place, ready to be implented.
Hehe, those local officials who thought they could bully as an outsider will now be pushed back.
I thought the rulers of the Warrior Country would be different, but they’re all just money-grabbing guys, greedier than the Yanor Kingdom, almost like they’ve inherited the dragon’s greedy nature.
However, before dealing with those frogs in a well, there’s sothing even more important to do.
As Tepi was about to speak, Uffie suddenly shook her head and said, "No need to trouble yourself; we have matters to attend to back in the Imperial Capital."
Tepi promptly changed his tune: "Then please wait a mont, I’ll have the butler bring you the prepared items."
Soon after, the butler along with attendants brought over one magic-sealed box after another.
"These are the Dragon Blood prepared for you, extracted from the heart of the Great Red Dragon that appears only once a month in the Red Teeth Dungeon; the market price has skyrocketed."
