Numb.
Tepi was numb both psychologically and physically.
The Sain Dungeon had a perfect grasp of human emotions; the appearance of the rat monster was tid just right to dispel his suspicions, thus smoothly opening the teleportation trap’s safety catch.
The Sain Dungeon was also insidious enough, insidious to the point that the bastard even mixed advanced paralysis powder into the fog generated by the teleportation trap!
Not to ntion dodging the teleportation trap with a backward step, the mont he ca into contact with the powder, his body was paralyzed as if embracing a poisonous jellyfish.
The world spun in his vision, he watched helplessly as he was gradually swallowed by the smoke, his body teleported to so place full of demons and devils.
Given his understanding of the Sain Dungeon, whatever follows the teleportation trap cannot be anything good.
Just before he was about to be teleported away, he accidentally glanced at the basent entrance where he had initially rolled down.
The Flying Dragon Yakir was bringing its mouth close to the narrow entrance, the surging fla brewing at its mouth, ready to unleash in the next second!
As the high temperature and flas swept into the basent, Tepi was conveniently teleported away.
Calculating it this way, the teleportation trap sohow saved his life.
But is the hatred range of you, Flying Dragon Yakir, even legal?
He had no idea how long it had been.
"Bang! Bang!"
A burst of the sound of iron striking, no, it sounded more like mining, entered his ears as Tepi opened his eyes.
As soon as he opened his eyes, the cold breath stabbed into his body like a sharp needle, making him shudder and instantly feel the malice lurking here.
"Small, wooden shack?"
He was bewildered by the scenery before him.
He was currently inside a tattered wooden shack, probably less than ten square ters. It was called a wooden shack, but it seed more like a randomly assembled shed with raw wood, the gaps between each piece of wood were absurdly large, not to ntion it had no door, which instantly robbed him of any sense of security.
What was even more bizarre was that this wooden shack seed to be in a place similar to an underground mine.
Constant sounds of pickaxes striking rocks echoed from all directions, the frequency not high enough; you could tell the miners were slow and languid, likely slacking off.
Just looking out from the doorless doorway, you could see clusters of pale blue crystals erging from the rock walls, with baskets and pickaxes haphazardly scattered on the ground, along with so fragnted crystal clusters that had been chipped off.
Ordinary people at this point would probably go outside to summon potential miners for help, but Tepi wasn’t fooled; he knew the miners in the Sain Dungeon might just be weird or might directly be monsters.
"Should I go out and explore?"
He muttered to himself, the pale blue crystals radiating a faint blue glow; this was the only illumination here, the blue light almost transford this place into a ghostly realm occupied by specters, and with the surrounding silence, it had an indescribable eeriness.
It’s like it has "I’m super, super dangerous" written all over it.
A sane person wouldn’t want to risk their life, but Tepi had no choice; he couldn’t cowardly commit suicide inside the shack and then be revived by a blessing nearby, right? That would be sothing only a coward would do, even if there was no spectator around, he would despise himself for it.
"My son wouldn’t commit suicide, let alone his father."
He thumped his chest to encourage himself and strode towards the doorway of the wooden shack.
However, just as he reached the doorway and was about to step out, he suddenly stopped, rembering sothing, and his expression gradually beca grave.
The surrounding silence provided an environnt suitable for contemplation, but now, this silence gave Tepi a suffocating sensation akin to sinking into thick, congealing mud.
What he suddenly rembered was...
The mining sounds, when did they stop?
He spun around abruptly, gazing at the gaps in the wooden shack’s walls, and his middle-aged body stiffened like stone.
Through the various gaps, nurous pairs of glowing phosphorescent eyes were silently watching him...
"!!!"
Tepi’s hair stood up like a cat encountering a charging cable, goosebumps breaking out uncontrollably; when did he attract the attention of these eyes’ owners, how long had he been watched? The thought was terrifying!
Upon realizing he had been discovered, the eyes retreated a few steps, revealing their true form.
These creatures had human-like stature but were entirely covered with stone-like mineral, holding pickaxes and the like, resembling miners who’d fused with minerals from years of mining.
Seeing their full appearance was less frightening, but the shocking mont earlier continued to linger in Tepi’s mind, leaving an unforgettable aftertaste.
At this mont, the miners also moved, fiercely striking the wooden shack with their pickaxes, exerting all their strength to topple this unsafe safe house, a wave of a zombie horde-like aura engulfing him.
Tepi snapped back to reality, dashed out for escape, and encountered a Crystal Miner head-on, the ornate dagger in his hand slashed onto the miner’s neck, but the feeling wasn’t of cutting flesh, rather akin to chopping stone.
His strength wasn’t incapable of breaking rocks, but the unexpected recoil sent the dagger flying out of his hand, and as he was about to retrieve it, a swarm of miners pounced on him, prompting him to decisively turn around and flee.
