"Knock, knock, knock!"
The sudden knocking sound on the door seed quite abrupt on the battlefield, so abrupt that despite the surrounding noise, everyone noticed it.
And the knocking was quite intense, highlighting the urgency in the knocker’s heart.
"Did Greg still have a backup plan behind the door!? A new enemy?" That was Uffie’s first thought.
Because no matter how you looked at it, only Greg could influence things inside the mansion. How could these adventurers bypass Greg to set up an ambush inside his place?
So Uffie’s inference seed very correct at the mont, without any issue!
Since her deduction was correct, she had to re-examine the normal battle under the the that "a new enemy behind the door might be signaled by the knocking sound just now." In a flash, she quickly thought of the optimal action.
Change direction!
If she didn’t change the direction of her spear thrust, she would reach near the door. If the enemy behind the door rushed out at that ti, she wouldn’t be able to block them, so even if changing the direction decreased the move’s power significantly, she had to play it safe.
An adventurer’s battle must be this cautious, as even stronger experts than her could be defeated in the dungeon due to carelessness!
I have to be as cautious as my father! He would never be careless in the dungeon, Uffie thought determinedly, tilting her spear’s head.
At this mont, she didn’t know that Gapar had once had his sword damaged by a Rust Monster, his Dao heart shattered, and was then sprayed to death by a Curse Frog, his body teleported to the Resurrection House, where the staff took a photo of him and even published it in the newspaper... Fortunately, Gapar’s large hand tily suppressed the spread of the photo.
"Bang! Slish!"
At this instant, Uffie turned her body, the spearhead originally aid at Greg’s heart diverted to the side, narrowly avoiding the dragon’s bloody maw, tearing wide swathes of flesh from his side, the wounds looking quite grueso!
Yet, despite the severe injury, Greg did not scream, but instead laughed heartily, because just now his dragon teeth had successfully crushed the shell on Uffie’s abdon, spraying scorching Dragon Fla through the gaps!
"So hot!"
Just as Uffie landed, she stumbled unsteadily, fiery flas flickering ceaselessly through the cracks of her shell, as if the flas sought to roast her sealed within the shell!
She quickly shed the shell to avoid being recorded as a death exhibit in the museum, the black shell crumbling away. She forcibly mixed Fighting Qi and magic to dispel the Dragon Fla, yet even though the fla entirely disappeared, her entire body turned charred black, looking dreadful.
Greg emitted a proud laugh, claiming himself to be one of the Sain Dungeon leaders who interacted the most with adventurers; it’s just so humanized.
"Uffie!" Fanen tossed a potion towards her, seemingly a Healing Potion, but how could Greg let him succeed at this distance? With a stretch of his dragon limb, he bit and shattered the unknown liquid completely, swallowing all of it without a drop left.
At this point, Greg’s rampant laughter halted abruptly, his dragon head trembling, showing signs of nausea and retching. Dragon Fla mixed with blood chunks spewed forth continually, adding a twist to his grotesque form!
"It was a trap, that was poison." Fanen smiled.
Elsewhere, having beco a black-faced fiend, Uffie picked up the spear that had fallen to the ground, turning around and stabbing multiple tis at Greg, who was immobilized by the poison. This ti she was really angry due to the pain!
Several bowl-sized penetrating wounds instantly appeared on Greg’s body, the filthy blood spraying out, nearly covering Uffie’s whole body. Miraculously, the parts of her body in contact with the blood were rapidly healing!
She had also received Blood Therapy from Yarn back then, naturally possessing the Hunter’s traits, including healing her own injuries with the enemy’s blood. The Hunter’s regenerative abilities plus the Insect King’s regenerative abilities ant that as long as she kept fighting and causing wounds to enemies, she would be a superbly durable combatant!
Fanen’s aim was indeed to let Uffie recover, but not by drinking potion, rather by bathing in the enemy’s blood!
When he threw the poison, the two had already reached a tacit understanding, without even needing to exchange a glance.
"Ugh!"
In desperation, Greg fired sweeping blasts of fla and water jet from his dragon head and shrimp head to force back attackers, while he, enduring the fatigue of the poison, summoned a Storm, his massive body rolling at high speed to break through Uffie’s attack range, rolling over towards Fanen’s side.
Not chasing, Uffie wiped the black ash off her face, disdainfully clicked her tongue, and yelled, "He’s all yours!"
Fanen nodded, the three of them against a fatigue-poisoned and heavily wounded Greg should not only suffice but avoid being overwheld as before.
Uffie quickly cleared the nearby soldiers, destroying any limb attachnt materials, then focused her attention on the door from which the knocking continued!
That door wasn’t just making knocking sounds anymore, there were also heavy shouting voices coming from it, but due to the door being incredibly thick, it was impossible to make out what the enemy beyond was yelling, sounding instead like demons wailing, chilling to the bone.
But Uffie was not afraid, she was angry, furious at the bastards behind the door who had disrupted her confident charge earlier!
"Get out here, I’ll tear you to pieces!"
With a powerful kick, she struck the door, exuding a majestic aura unmatched!
Then the heavy door opened just a little, but it was she who crouched down in pain, her body trembling slightly...
"Tch, why make a darn door so thick...."
Uffie sucked in a cold breath, the pain comparable to kicking a football with an inflad toenail, but thankfully the door creaked open a crack. Next, she prepared to obediently push the door open with both hands.
The door was pushed open, no more barrier between inside and out, a strange scene imdiately erged.
With a "smack!" a multitude of human hands appeared suddenly from within the crack, gripping the doorfra tightly, trying to yank the door open, accompanied by shouting they couldn’t quite hear clearly.
In Uffie’s eyes, how different was this scene from sinister, ruthless devils attempting to open a gate from Hell to the mortal world?
There’s probably another limb-connecting noble behind the door!
"Damn it, look at the spear!"
"Whoa, what is that thing, what is that thing!"
Just as the pressure of the long spear reached the crack in the door, a young girl’s voice of surprise ca from behind it, like a startled wild cat, almost hissing at Uffie!
"It’s an attack, there really is an enemy behind this door!" Another clear male voice ca through, sounding like they were facing a formidable enemy, mixed with a hint of weariness.
"Huh?" Uffie was taken aback, because this man’s voice sounded very familiar, like she had heard it sowhere before?
The next second, a bright blue great sword’s blade suddenly thrust out from the door crack, wasn’t this the magic [Calia Greatsword]!?
The Calia Greatsword and the long spear clashed in an instant, with Uffie flying back and colliding into Greg before coming to a stop. The Calia Greatsword also shattered into a skyful of starlight. It was unclear who gained the upper hand in this brief exchange, but one fact was undeniable.
The person behind the door was soone Uffie definitely knew!
There was really soone behind the grand door? Even Greg hadn’t anticipated this, judging from his surprised expression and stopped movents.
So the person behind the mansion door wasn’t his arrangent?
"Creak...."
The mysterious power sealing the door seed to vanish because of Uffie’s kick, and they managed to pull open the door, revealing the figure behind it....
"Whoa, what an ugly-looking uncle!"
A cry of surprise escaped Maru’s mouth, as she first caught sight of Greg, shuddering from his grotesque appearance as if her fur was about to stand on end, and she jumped behind a certain blond man.
"Ugh, what a slly old man!"
The certain blond adventurer nad Leon, pushed out by Maru to act as a protective wall, also exclaid upon seeing Greg’s exterior, and his adjectives were even more accurate.
"Oh dear, won’t your words anger this guy...." Drew stroked his graying beard in exasperation, feeling like he was watching his young ones acting recklessly.
"Soone is there." The towering Tal succinctly pointed a finger toward the bewildered Uffie and her group, who stood not far from Greg.
At this mont, both sides’ gazes t, with mutual shock in their eyes.
Uffie and Leon simultaneously pointed at each other, exclaiming at the sa ti:
"Uffie!?" "Leon!?"
The scene before them was truly shocking.
Behind where others couldn’t see, Tepi also noticed Leon, completely ignoring the much larger Greg in front of him.
"Why are you guys here!?" x2
"You say it first!" x2
"Never mind, I’ll say it first!" x2
"...."
Both sides fell into silence, and finally, Uffie felt the swelling rage from Greg behind her and said:
"How about we deal with him first, then talk?"
"I agree, it seems this unknown Monster Mister is quite strong." Leon nodded in agreent, then drew the Calia Knight Sword from behind, seemingly unaware of Tepi hiding behind Greg.
Or perhaps the opponent intentionally hid?
At this ti, Greg let out a long howl towards the sky, erupting with an aura like a Saiyan, his body swelling to several tis its size.
"Power!"
The four-strength enhancent from the Strategy Group surged onto Greg!
The entire Stoneveil City trembled!
At the sa ti, in the City Lord’s room of Sain Dungeon.
Gong Qiying looked at Leon’s group, who suddenly appeared in Stoneveil City, with an expression as if he had seen a ghost, muttering to himself:
"How did they get here? I clearly rember not opening the route?"
He imdiately pulled up today’s map of Sain Dungeon, carefully examining it, determined not to allow anything beyond his control to occur.
After a mont, Gong Qiying understood.
"The daily automatic map adjustnts I set for the dungeon opened the connection routes I hadn’t unlocked yet..."
