Just as the Rhodes Island group was evacuating, the sniper squad stationed nearby reported the situation to Talulah.
This squad was Faust's subordinate. Originally, they relied on Faust's Originium Arts for stealth operations, but unexpectedly, out of concern for his friend's safety, Faust left the squad alone and never returned.
And after losing Faust's Originium Arts, they were naturally discovered by the Rhodes Island group. Under the bombardnt of several snipers and casters, they didn't even have the courage to show their heads.
They only sneaked out from behind the nearly ruined sniper position after Rhodes Island broke through.
The result was, of course, that they saw nothing except the charred corpses on the ground.
Because they had not personally witnessed the deaths of phisto and Faust, they only reported that the two were unaccounted for.
At this ti, Talulah was still unhurriedly walking towards this area. She had originally thought that with phisto's 'flock,' even if they couldn't defeat the infiltrators, they wouldn't lose too badly.
But the result was that the two sides fought for less than ten minutes. Not only did Crownslayer, who was pursuing, lose contact, but phisto and Faust, who were blocking the front, also lost contact simultaneously.
Feeling that things were getting out of control, Talulah, after examining the map and guessing Rhodes Island's evacuation route, imdiately contacted the others.
"Patriot, Frostnova, Skullshatterer, and Garrison, everyone converge on the plaza to the southwest. Our comrades phisto, Faust, and Crownslayer have likely perished on this land. We need to avenge them and not let these infiltrators escape Chernobog like this."
"Oh oh oh! Talulah, I have so rather unfortunate news for you. Our esteed leader, Mr. Garrison, was assassinated a short while ago during a speech. Our people are currently pursuing the assassins, so it's unlikely we can participate in the encirclent." W's voice was very flippant, but the news that ca out chilled the hearts of the remaining cadres.
It was bad enough that the culprits behind Crownslayer's attack two days ago hadn't been found, but this ti, three high-ranking cadres were gone in the blink of an eye.
Even though most of the cadres were indifferent to phisto, they had to admit that his 'flock' was quite disgusting. To defeat phisto head-on, even the remaining people couldn't do it so quickly, especially since he was accompanied by Faust, an undetectable sniper. With his suppression, defeating phisto would be even more difficult.
Ten minutes later, Talulah led her subordinates to the street where the battle had taken place. As soon as they entered the street, most people couldn't help but retch.
There was no way around it; the sll of roasted at mixed with charred corpses was too impactful.
The leading Talulah looked at the traces on the ground and stepped into the road without changing her expression. The remaining people could only suppress the goosebumps-inducing feeling and followed behind Talulah.
After walking through the street, they encountered Faust's sniper squad. At this ti, they had not continued their pursuit but were staying at the corner of the road, looking in the distance with shocked expressions.
When Talulah arrived, the temporary leader of the squad, who had lost Faust, walked over. "Madam Talulah, we haven't found any traces of phisto and Faust. We only found this where they passed by…"
Following his finger, Talulah and her group looked over. On the other side of the corner, a huge, white 'swan' was coiled up, lying there. They had been here before, and there had never been such an exaggerated and eye-catching thing. Moreover, the 'swan' was clearly covered in a large amount of Originium crystals, which also made them afraid to approach.
Talulah was stunned when she saw the 'white swan,' then walked over. Upon closer inspection, she found a dark imprint on the 'white swan's' back.
Looking closely, it wasn't an imprint at all, but clearly a human figure.
Feeling sowhat familiar, she looked at the human imprint and recalled for a mont. Finally, she rembered that this black imprint was very similar in height and appearance to Faust. Thinking of the lightning strike that had descended from the sky earlier, could this be Faust, who had been struck to ashes? Then where was phisto?
She was about to look up and survey her surroundings when suddenly, the 'white swan' in front of her gave her a sense of familiarity. After getting closer, she reached out and touched the Originium crystals on the 'white swan's' body. The sensation that ca from it made her instantly understand that this 'white swan' was phisto.
However, at this ti, phisto had already lost all signs of life, leaving only the Originium Arts still emanating outwards.
"No need to search, your leader is right here!" Talulah said to the sniper squad that was preparing to leave to search for Faust.
"Where?" They looked around but didn't see Faust's figure.
"On him. Do you see that black shadow? That is the last trace of your leader. And this Originium crystal is phisto." Talulah pointed to the 'white swan's' back, her words sending shivers down the spines of those around her.
The disbelieving sniper squad gathered around and observed carefully, discovering that this figure was indeed identical to their leader.
Seeing Faust's tragic state, everyone couldn't help but shed tears.
"There's no ti for you to cry now. The enemy who killed phisto and Faust is about to escape Chernobog. If you want revenge, then follow ."
After Talulah finished speaking, she stepped in the direction Rhodes Island had left. Although the others still had sadness on their faces, their eyes beca increasingly resolute. They just didn't see the sneer on Talulah's lips as she walked at the very front.
Upon receiving confirmation of phisto and Faust's deaths, the communicators used by the cadres for communication once again emitted a crackling sound.
"Regarding the deaths of those two youngsters, I deeply regret it. However, I've received a small piece of information. I wonder if Madam Talulah needs it?" After Garrison's death, W imdiately seized leadership of this Sarkaz squad, then, with the help of Hoederer and Ines, quickly cleared out the dissenting voices of others in the squad, feeling quite pleased. Just then, Talulah's ssage about phisto and Faust's deaths ca through. After so thought, she decided to reveal so information to gain so impression points within Reunion Movent.
"Speak?" Talulah's reply was very direct.
"Although we didn't catch the killer, we identified the enemy who killed Captain Garrison. He and his squad are currently believed to be affiliated with a dical organization called Rhodes Island. Many people in this organization are exiles from the failed Kazdel bloodbath." W imdiately spoke after hearing this.
