The 12F staff mber nodded, gesturing for lantha to sit down in front.

lantha sat down, nervously taking out a stack of materials from her small satchel. "Hello, my na is lantha. I just arrived on the ship today. This is my Infected report issued by a hospital in Victoria."

The 12F staff mber took lantha's materials with a puzzled expression. After carefully reading them, he waved Kanna to the front desk and gently tapped her head.

"The report is fine, but this is the Operator onboarding application section of the Human Resources Departnt. You've co to the island for dical treatnt, so you should go to the Human Resources Patient Registration next door." Seeing the 12F staff mber's actions, lantha felt nervous, clearly sensing that Kanna had probably brought her to the wrong place. Fortunately, the 12F staff mber knew that most people were unfamiliar with the process and explained it in detail.

"Isn't it the sa?" Kanna put her hands on her hips, unconvinced.

"Look, oripathy can't be cured in a day or two, so Sister lantha will be staying on Rhodes Island for a long ti. But general oripathy doesn't affect normal life, so Sister lantha will eventually find sothing to do on Rhodes Island, otherwise she'd be bored to death. And isn't the best position here to beco a Rhodes Island Operator! There's a salary, priority for treatnt, and it helps pass the ti. I think Sister lantha will beco an Operator sooner or later, so coming here or next door, isn't it all the sa!"

Kanna's words left the 12F staff mber speechless. He thought for a mont and did not hand lantha's materials back.

"Kanna is right. If nothing unexpected happens, Ms. lantha will be staying on the ship for a long ti and will likely need a job to make her days more interesting. We at Rhodes Island welco all aspiring individuals with good intentions. As long as you are willing, whether you are a child or an elder, Rhodes Island will provide you with a suitable job to add a touch of joy to your ordinary days.

As Kanna said, I can also help you register here. If you are willing, Ms. lantha, please wait a mont, and we will soon customize your work badge for you."

"Eh! Eh? Eh!" lantha hadn't expected Kanna's simple words to transform her from a dical seeker into soone joining Rhodes Island.

As she was in a state of confusion, the 12F staff mber efficiently entered lantha's information into the system. Soon, he returned with an armband and a work badge.

"Welco to Rhodes Island, Ms. lantha. These are your work badge and armband. Please keep them safe. If lost, please report it to the Human Resources Departnt imdiately. Don't worry, Ms. lantha, becoming an Operator will not affect your dical treatnt. On the contrary, as Kanna said, Rhodes Island Operators enjoy higher priority in oripathy treatnt than those outside."

It wasn't until lantha was led out the door by Kanna that she barely reacted, wondering how this little one had convinced her to inexplicably 'sell herself' to Rhodes Island.

"Don't worry, with a work badge, the admission tests will be more thorough than for those who haven't joined. Our Kanna never tricks people." While lantha was still pondering, she was already led by Kanna to the dical Departnt entrance.

Kanna used her card to open the door, then led lantha inside.

Upon entering the dical Departnt, lantha saw several familiar faces—all patients who had been brought in together by the Rhodes Island vehicle. They were now anxiously standing at the entrance of the examination room, waiting for the doctor to call their numbers.

When they saw lantha enter, they inwardly scoffed a bit. Coming so late, it would probably be very late when it was her turn.

However, they didn't expect the little girl to take a card from lantha's hand, walk through the crowd, and hand it to the nurse at the door.

Everyone initially dismissed it, thinking that with how busy it was, the nurses probably wouldn't even bother with the child.

But then, sothing surprising happened: the nurse, upon seeing Kanna, spontaneously bent down and patted her head, then took the card Kanna offered her.

After taking the work badge, the nurse swiped it on a nearby machine and then returned it to Kanna.

Kanna, holding the work badge, walked through the crowd to lantha at the entrance and handed it back to her.

"Sister lantha, your appointnt is complete. They'll call your na very soon. I'll wait for you outside. After your check-up, we'll go back to the teacher's office together."

lantha, who had just received the work badge, was still a bit dazed, standing there blankly.

Not long after Kanna had just walked out the door, the loudspeaker began calling her na.

Under the collective gaze of the many people waiting in line, she tremblingly walked to the dical counter.

After a quick comparison of the work badge photo and her person, she was sent into the examination area.

Behind her, seeing that lantha had actually gone in for her check-up, the others felt a bit indignant. After all, everyone had co to Rhodes Island for treatnt, so why should soone have priority?

Fortunately, the nurse had anticipated this situation. Seeing the crowd pressing forward, she stepped back, and then two fully ard n walked to her side, staring coldly at the crowd.

Seeing the glinting weapons, the previously agitated crowd imdiately cald down.

Once the situation settled, the nurse slowly began to speak.

"The lady who just went in is staff who has joined Rhodes Island. Her entry dical examination is being conducted according to the Operator Priority Act drafted internally by Rhodes Island. If any of you possess a special skill, you can consult the Human Resources Departnt and decide whether to join Rhodes Island. However, I must remind you that joining Rhodes Island will grant you better dical services, but it also requires you to participate in work assignnts arranged by Rhodes Island, including but not limited to external security and clearing pathways for landships. If you lack the courage to participate in combat, the Human Resources Departnt will likely not approve your requests."

The crowd was initially sowhat indignant, questioning why so people had priority, but when they learned that Operators had to undertake combat missions, everyone quieted down. Although Terra's nations were embroiled in endless disputes, war was still very distant for these people who had co for treatnt.

If it were purely benefits, everyone would be willing to enjoy them, but when it ca to going to the battlefield, most people respectfully declined.

While it was noisy outside, lantha completed all her examinations with a mix of panic and unease. When she walked out, she saw Kanna sitting on a bench not far away.

As she walked over, she saw Kanna holding a docunt. Looking closely, it was her dical examination report.

She hadn't expected Rhodes Island's efficiency to be so high; she had just finished her tests, and the dical report was already in Kanna's hands.

"Hmm! Sister lantha's basic report is mostly here. So blood tests won't be ready imdiately, so the teacher will probably personally go to the lab to retrieve the full report later. Let's head back for now. I just asked Lizard Uncle again, and your accommodation has also been arranged."
