"Tsk!" Kanna looked at the pitch-black, abyssal valley bottom after the lightning faded.
"What's wrong?" Noticing Kanna hadn't gotten into the car, ACE had a bad feeling.
"Nothing, there's a big loach nearby. I won't co in yet. There are still loaches chasing from behind, the convoy must keep moving, never stop." Kanna threw a Thunderbolt Wedge to the tail of the convoy, then used the light of the Thunderbolt Wedge's explosion to see countless large loaches following behind the convoy.
ACE instinctively felt that the "big loach" Kanna ntioned was probably not what he was imagining, but in such heavy rain, he didn't dare to leave the moving car.
Suddenly, Kanna felt a chilling aura appear to her front right. The next second, two Thunderbolt Wedges flew from her hand, aid directly at the target's location.
Accompanied by a huge thunderclap, the Thunderbolt Wedges exploded at the predetermined position. In the lightning, Kanna saw that the huge figure from the valley had quietly approached the side of the convoy.
It was a good thing she sensed the danger and used the thunderstorm generated by the Thunderbolt Wedges to scare it away.
However, before the lightning disappeared, Kanna saw the opponent shifting towards the rear of the convoy and guessed that it would certainly not stop its hunting. After being thwarted at the front, the giant creature set its sights on the latter half of the convoy.
At this point, Kanna, with only three Thunderbolt Wedges, felt a sense of inadequacy, because the convoy was very long, and she couldn't protect both ends.
It was as if Kanna was playing 'eagle catching chickens' with the monster. The eagle-like monster was exceptionally agile, and under the cover of the heavy rain, it was very troubleso for Kanna to both pinpoint its location and ensure the convoy's integrity.
"How's the situation outside?" ACE's voice ca through the communicator, sowhat intermittent in the heavy rain, but it helped calm Kanna's mood, as she hadn't had a chance to catch the opponent.
"That big loach is a bit cunning. After I scared it off, it hasn't reappeared. I can only feel that it's still nearby. It must be waiting for an opportunity!" Kanna had been on Terra for so ti, but this was her first encounter with such a troubleso opponent. Never having faced such a situation, a feeling of irritation welled up in her, causing her normally blue, round pupils to turn into vertical slits.
Purple lightning swirled in Kanna's blue eyes, and an ancient, vast, and desolate aura emanated from her body.
Feeling that aura, the smaller loaches following behind stopped as if hitting a wall, while only the giant one, after a tremor, continued to follow the convoy.
Inside the vehicle, Uncle ACE suddenly felt a chill run through him, and an imnse pressure descended from above. He looked out the window, and for a mont, it was as if he saw a giant eye staring at everything inside the vehicle with coldness and deathly silence. The next second, the pattering rain woke him, and outside the window, the heavy downpour was still so intense that the road was almost invisible.
Without the protection of the smaller loaches, the giant figure finally appeared in Kanna's line of sight.
Seeing the massive creature still in hot pursuit, Kanna waved her hand, and two Thunderbolt Wedges, one on the left and one on the right, blocked its path. Just as the loach instinctively twisted its body, attempting to dodge the incoming Thunderbolt Wedges, the Thunderbolt Wedge next to it suddenly transford into Kanna. Before it could react, Kanna violently pushed off a nearby rock, crashing into the loach's head.
At this mont, Kanna was covered in electricity, and in the rain, the currents rapidly spread outwards, instantly enveloping the entire monster.
"Taste my Great Electrician move!" Grabbing the creature's head with both hands, intense lightning ford around Kanna, and within dozens of ters, the explosive currents completely evaporated the waterfall-like rain.
The massive sound of the thunderclap was clearly audible to everyone in the convoy, even hundreds of ters away and through the downpour.
At this mont, Uncle ACE realized that the Thunderbolt Wedge, which had been in the vehicle, had disappeared at so point.
The mont he couldn't find the Thunderbolt Wedge, he felt a dizzy spell, and all his strength suddenly left him.
Provence in the front row noticed that Uncle ACE behind her didn't look well. "What's wrong? You look pale?"
"Nothing, keep going!" Although he wanted to turn back and see what had happened, they were still in the midst of a Calamity. Any stop or hesitation would be irresponsible to the entire convoy.
After speaking, Uncle ACE picked up the walkie-talkie. "Uncle ACE calling Kanna, respond if you hear . Uncle ACE calling Kanna, respond if you hear . Uncle ACE calling Kanna, respond if you hear ..."
The continuous calls were t only with silence. At this point, Provence's face also turned pale, as she had guessed the reason for Uncle ACE's sudden change in expression.
"We..."
"Keep going..." Before Provence could finish speaking, Uncle ACE said through gritted teeth. At this mont, he had never hated his powerlessness more.
If he had to choose again, in this situation, he would fight alongside Kanna. Even if it ant dying in battle, he would never choose to hide in this vehicle like a coward.
Just as the atmosphere inside the vehicle fell silent and the air was almost congealing, a knocking sound suddenly ca from outside.
Uncle ACE looked up and saw Kanna, her face wet with rain, hanging outside, waiting for him to open the door.
At that mont, Uncle ACE felt as if he had seen an angel. He hurriedly opened the car door and hugged Kanna, completely disregarding her almost soaked appearance.
"Oh dear! Uncle ACE, you're hugging too tight..." Kanna was still wondering what was wrong with Uncle ACE. She was soaking wet and uncomfortable herself, yet he was hugging her so tightly. Could it be that the usually honest and reliable Uncle ACE was actually a lolicon?
"It's good that you're alright, good that you're alright..." Uncle ACE, who always presented a calm and reserved image, uncharacteristically lost his composure, his voice tinged with a hint of a sob.
"Wait, Uncle, you didn't think I couldn't even beat a big loach, did you!" Seeing Provence in the front also covering her face and weeping, Kanna realized that they thought she had died.
Just before, after a round of lightning, the big loach had been electrocuted by Kanna to a six-course al. It was barely breathing and looked like it wouldn't live much longer even if she didn't strike again.
Jumping to the ground nearby, Kanna used the rainwater to wash off the burnt dead skin that had stuck to her hand from touching the creature, then shook her head.
Actually, if that guy had stopped chasing earlier, she wouldn't have chosen to attack. After all, all things have spirits, and sothing that could grow so large clearly wasn't normal. If it weren't to protect the convoy, Kanna wouldn't have even thought of killing it. Of course, a bigger reason was that the creature was too disgusting, and Kanna didn't want to touch it if she didn't have to.
