Humans have good and evil, demons are divided into good and bad. Although the Demon Race is generally humorous, there are also those who are inherently evil.
This is not about race; it is about temperant.
Like the Spider Spirit Fourth Sister who runs a tailor shop at the Thousand chanism Pavilion night market, and Brother Monkey who sells pancakes.
Although these two don’t seem like good people at first glance, they are outstanding and kind demons, a model couple.
The whole family is harmonious and beautiful, conducting business honestly with integrity, never evading taxes or duties, and everyone at Thousand chanism Pavilion praises them highly.
However, the mangy dog in front of Zhang Ze who wants to eat people clearly does not belong to this category.
After all, good dogs don’t block the way, blocking the way ans a bad dog.
So, it is ti to slay demons and eliminate evils.
Technically, during these monts that bring honor to the Sword Sect, a few ceremonial words are usually spoken, but Zhang Ze was a bit tired today, so he decided on a quick resolution.
The two Spirit Swords from the White Wolf Witch Priest, since he received them the other day, haven’t been used yet.
Today is the perfect ti for a trial.
Zhang Ze raised his hand and summoned the Sword Box in a very stylish manner, smashing it onto the ground, waiting for the Dog Demon to gasp in surprise and then express triple shock.
Unfortunately, this dog is uneducated.
He did not cooperate!
Therefore, he died twice and did not leave peacefully.
The first ti he died was by the White Wolf’s strike.
The Dog Demon did not recognize the Sword Box, thinking the box contained money from this boy to buy favors.
He had seen people like this before, the most cowardly and fearful.
So he laughed cruelly, attempting to destroy the mind of the person in front of him with terrifying dog barks.
He thought this kind of at tasted the best.
However, Zhang Ze just found him noisy.
The Sword Box unfolded, Zhang Ze drew the sword and wielded it.
This sword was taught by the Sect Leader.
The Sword Qi was like a rainbow, resembling a full moon.
That round moon grew larger and larger in the Dog Demon’s pupils, he couldn’t conjure energy nor raise his blade in ti.
The demon body was instantly slashed in half.
But the Dog Demon’s second death had nothing to do with Zhang Ze.
This Dog Demon had so encounters; after the demon body was cut, a strand of demon soul burst forth, flying eastward.
While flying, he was still tough-talking.
"re ants, thirty years later, I will..."
However, before Zhang Ze could act, a thunder fire descended, turning the Dog Demon’s demon soul into ashes.
This thunder fire was pure, authentic from Dragon Tiger Mountain.
As the thunder fire extinguished, a ragged Daoist jumped out from the woods beside the road, and by his appearance, it’s unclear how long he had been wandering in the woods.
The small Daoist looked a bit younger than Zhang Ze, with a dust-covered face, it was hard to see his features.
"Sword Sect Senior Brother, don’t cut, don’t cut." The small Daoist ran towards Zhang Ze with hands raised, "We’re family, family, I’m from Dragon Tiger Mountain."
"I’m Zhang Ze, I..." Zhang Ze began to put away the Sword Box, but before he could finish speaking, the Daoist interrupted.
"When venturing out, our Six Sects should watch out for each other. Saying we are family isn’t an exaggeration. Today we truly t, Junior Brother asks Senior Brother Zhang for a favor..."
The small Daoist spoke while taking out his Dragon Tiger Mountain disciple waist badge, used talismans, Copper Coin Sword, Incense Burner Magical Artifact and other items from the Hundred Treasures Bag, placing them on the ground to prove his identity.
"You say..." But this small Daoist was so quirky, Zhang Ze had just said two words before being interrupted again.
"Senior Brother, let explain, here’s how it is." The small Daoist said while gathering items from the ground, "To be honest, Junior Brother is on a secret mission, please don’t mind, it’s highly classified, so I can’t tell you..."
In the ramblings that could compete with Lily having a fit, Zhang Ze finally understood the little Daoist’s request.
He got lost, wandered in the woods for five days without food, and he was hungry.
He wants to ask Zhang Ze for so food and escort him to Yazi Town.
Zhang Ze looked down at the dirt road underfoot.
This dirt road leading to Yazi Town, although it had changed directions several tis, had no forks, and it was amazing how this Daoist got lost.
He glanced again at the pile of stuff the small Daoist just brought out, seeing an unopened dicine Gourd among them.
Zhang Ze also had one, sourced from dicine King Valley, containing Grain Avoidance Pills of various flavors.
Zhang Ze was about to ask how the small Daoist had accomplished such an abstract feat, then imdiately shut his mouth.
Instead of being bombarded by the small Daoist’s words, it’s better to directly solve his problem.
"Eat this, this is a Grain Avoidance Pill, it staves off hunger. You... forget it, co with ."
Zhang Ze picked up the dicine Gourd on the ground and stuffed it into the small Daoist’s hand, then stepped forward along the main road.
The young Daoist hurriedly gathered his things, following behind Zhang Ze, stuffing Grain Avoidance Pills into his mouth as he ran.
"So this is edible, huh? How amazing."
"Hey, Senior Brother, wait for , don’t walk so fast!"
On the latter half of the road to Yazi Town, Zhang Ze figured out two things.
The first was that this young Daoist’s identity was probably not ordinary. Although he only caught occasional fragnts amidst his endless chatter, they all pertained to the hidden secrets of Dragon Tiger Mountain.
For example, a certain Purple-robed Heavenly Master enjoys matchmaking for people.
These things, had it not been for the Sect Leader ntioning them, Zhang Ze wouldn’t have known either.
The second was that this young Daoist seed to know very little about the matters outside of Dragon Tiger Mountain. Many basic questions he asked sounded like armchair strategies, as if he had never left the mountain.
This Taoist didn’t even recognize the gourd that holds the Grain Avoidance Pills.
Dragon Tiger Mountain holds a high status, and he’s always been on the mountain, plus he’s so young...
Zhang Ze suddenly thought of soone.
"What’s your na?" Zhang Ze asked.
"Oh, I forgot to ntion, my na is Tang Haoran. You can call Little Tang, Junior Brother Tang, or just Haoran."
Upon hearing the na Tang Haoran, Zhang Ze sighed, realizing he was dealing with a big matter.
He had heard of this na before.
Tang Haoran, the next Sect Leader of Dragon Tiger Mountain.
The Sect Leaders of Dragon Tiger Mountain are chosen from a young age, typically those with profound fate, theoretically being geniuses selected with utmost care.
As for why Tang Haoran was like this, his master, who is also the current Sect Leader, was to bla entirely.
The previous Sect Leader’s last na was Tang, nad Ji, nicknad Taoist Dian, whose hobby and specialty was getting lost.
During his ruling years, Tang hardly ever stayed at Dragon Tiger Mountain properly for even a few days.
He often disappeared for forty or fifty years and then suddenly returned to Dragon Tiger Mountain to share his new discoveries with the elders.
After sharing, he might stay on the mountain for an afternoon at most, then imdiately leave again.
This ti, he’d been missing for a notably longer period, a full 168 years, breaking his previous record of 103 years.
If it weren’t for a few years ago when old Tang, using a Taoist Technique, had a newborn Tang Haoran delivered back to Dragon Tiger Mountain by an Immortal Crane and appointed him as the next Sect Leader...
The elders at Dragon Tiger Mountain would have believed that old Tang had died outside.
To prevent the ergence of another abstract Sect Leader like him, the elders provided Little Tang with elite education.
Aiming for all-round developnt in morality, intelligence, physique, artistic skills, and labor, they also prohibited him from leaving the mountain to avoid the outside world’s temptations from disrupting his Tao Heart.
But, the heart desires freedom.
It was unknown how Little Tang managed to break through the tight supervision of Dragon Tiger Mountain’s elders and run to Diannan, and he even didn’t recognize the roads.
One could only say, just like how old Tang saw him as promising, his talent for getting lost seed to be inherited.
Zhang Ze turned back to glance at Tang Haoran who was still babbling, thinking that Dragon Tiger Mountain was truly dood.
Indeed, people are all about comparability. Compared to Tang Haoran, Zhang Ze felt he was quite normal.
There’s still hope for our Sword Sect!
But despite the sighing, Zhang Ze couldn’t let Little Tang go wild, after all, if he died outside, it would be a huge problem.
"Junior Brother Tang, let take you back to Dragon Tiger Mountain first..."
"No way!" Little Tang took a step back, looking at Zhang Ze warily.
"Then you have to tell , why exactly did you co out." Zhang Ze turned back to look at Little Tang.
"That’s a secret." Little Tang remained cautious.
"Senior Brother, I hold a pretty high position in the Sword Sect. If you tell , I promise to keep it confidential, and if it’s serious, I’ll help you."
After speaking, Zhang Ze took out the Sword Sect family badge engraved with the Chen character.
Little Tang took the badge, then took out a small booklet that seed to be his notes.
He flipped to a page, carefully comparing the patterns with his eyes. Confirming it was correct, he returned the badge to Zhang Ze.
Little Tang’s expression also relaxed a bit, "I’m here to find my grandpa."
"Your grandpa?" Zhang Ze asked.
"Old Tang, that’s what the uncles call him," Little Tang said.
A light bulb went off in Zhang Ze’s mind as he opened the system to discover that the progress bar for the "Diannan Mystery Cave" quest had moved a bit.
Then he took out the mission scroll from the Main Pavilion, which noted that the legend of the Six Paths Immortals in Lantian County first appeared 130 years ago.
Old Tang’s last disappearance was 168 years ago.
"These three things, they can’t all be one thing, can they?"
Zhang Ze sighed, "Alright, let’s enter the city first. I’ll help you find your grandpa, and you help out a bit too."
"Okay! Thank you, Senior Brother!"
