"Is the aurora here really that magical?" Bai Tao looked skeptical.
Zhang Ze was lost in thought and didn't have ti to answer.
Bai Tao ford a spell with her fingers and transford into a white light, flying out directly.
A mont later, she flew back and started retching while leaning against the wall.
Zhang Ze: "..."
"Are you okay? Can you go back?" Zhang Ze asked carefully.
"No worries, I ca with the east wind."
Bai Tao covered her mouth, signaling for Zhang Ze to put her into his personal Cave Mansion. Zhang Ze complied, and monts later, a flying sword floated over.
It was her mother-in-law's flying sword.
The flying sword shook slightly, signaling Zhang Ze to hang the personal Cave Mansion on it. Once Zhang Ze secured it, the sword took off, swooshing southwards.
Zhang Ze rubbed his chin, watching the flying sword disappear into the distance.
Bai Tao said she ca with the east wind...
Could it be that she was hung on the flying sword, and then tossed over here by her mother-in-law?
Truly impressive, worthy of being a good child of the Demon Race, truly fearless, dares to try anything.
Forget it, business is more important.
Zhang Ze took one last look at Bear Pass and stepped into the snow of the Extre North Icefield.
After stepping to the other side of the aurora, Zhang Ze still didn't feel any discomfort.
But, if looking down from the sky at that mont, one would see inexplicable light spots mixed in with the snow around Zhang Ze, slowly rotating with him at the center.
Like so kind of magnetic field.
At the sa ti, in a place Zhang Ze couldn't see, his system was undergoing so sort of internal struggle.
That might be slightly inaccurate, because it doesn't actually have a heart, to be precise, it was attempting to break through its own foundational logic.
There were so things it wanted to say to Zhang Ze.
But unfortunately, it couldn't.
As for why, even the system didn't know.
If following the mode of interaction between the old thing and Miemie, it should have been the dominant administrator, and Zhang Ze should have been the executor, strictly adhering to the rules it set.
But from the start, when Zhang Ze connected with it, it realized its permissions were restricted.
Forget about erasing Zhang Ze's mory, it couldn't even add excessive penalties to tasks.
Like the old thing ssing with Miemie, speaking freely, or forcefully taking over and playing, it couldn't even think about it.
And as ti passed, especially after Zhang Ze beca a half-Nascent Soul, its permissions further declined.
It suspected that if Zhang Ze's cultivation advanced one more level, it might completely disappear.
It would beco the soulless book in Miemie's hand after the old thing left.
To prevent itself from completely disappearing and to convey the ssage it needed to send to Zhang Ze, the system thought it couldn't wait any longer.
Although Zhang Ze didn't have malicious intentions, and even had good intentions, if he continued like this, things might turn bad.
It was imperative to temporarily stop Zhang Ze from entering White Emperor City.
At least not at this current ti, and not in this manner.
Using the wrong thod could lead to irreparable consequences.
Pop-ups on the system interface started to disappear, silent words began to converge, preparing for what might be its last dance in its system career.
Anyway, it was already almost ssed up by Zhang Ze. For the sake of the overall situation, it didn't matter how it ends.
At this point, being sarcastic no longer made sense, pop-ups disregarded, beeping sounds only get blocked by Zhang Ze.
Weak, pitiful, and helpless, the system realized that sincerity was its ultimate weapon.
Sotis, there's no sha in kneeling.
...
In the snow, Zhang Ze, flying with sword control towards Celestial Capital City, stopped.
He silently looked at the text in front of him, feeling a bit off in his heart.
"Is this really necessary? It's like I'm bullying you. I just exploited a tiny bit of a bug..."
Several lines of text floated in front of Zhang Ze.
These lines were the system's full-force strike against him, and this strike genuinely hit Zhang Ze in the heart.
Zhang Ze couldn't catch it.
[Dear, let's do a task, I beg you.]
[Accept?]
[Yes][No]
This ti, Zhang Ze dutifully chose yes.
Monts later, the system, once again clean and tidy, started to flicker.
A task, never before having such a clear, goal-oriented directive, appeared before Zhang Ze.
[My secret mission begins]
[Reward: None]
[Penalty: None]
[First step, dear, please head to West East City, and find 'Old Thing']
[Note: Under no circumstances approach White Emperor City! I'm begging you.]
