Fuji referred to the large cylinder as the Shennong Cauldron, the magical treasure of the dicine King Valley.
She called it that because every ti Fuji visited, she saw the Shennong Cauldron emitting cheerful smoke, much like Zhang Ze's customized Wind Traveling Ship that ran on black oil, unable to fly and only able to crawl on the ground.
Zhang Ze said that a smoking device is called a cylinder, so since the Shennong Cauldron was so big, it naturally beca the large cylinder.
And so, the na stuck.
The Shennong Cauldron didn't mind, after all, Fuji was so adorable; she could call it whatever she liked.
"Good morning, what brings you here today?" The deep voice of the Shennong Cauldron echoed throughout the space.
Fuji took a good whiff of the vibrant energy released by the Shennong Cauldron before responding.
"I need to check on so records! The Da Tou Cai of Chang State!"
The Shennong Cauldron didn't understand what Fuji was talking about, as it was rely a humidifier and not a graduate in information managent systems; it hadn't really paid attention to the contents of the dicine King Hall.
"Chang State… it's on the forty-ninth floor, I'll send you down."
Fuji's vision flickered, and by the ti she regained her senses, she was already on the forty-ninth floor.
The spiritual plants discovered in the Chang State were all kept here.
Unlike other floors, the cabinets here were mostly empty, containing mostly specins and textual descriptions, and no seeds or living samples.
Fuji held a small walnut and searched back and forth, comparing photos, but after a long ti, she still hadn't found a match.
Furthermore, the written records about vegetation on this forty-ninth floor were much simpler than those on other floors.
Most only had a few sentences.
[Six-Year Grass, six years in growth, sweet taste, loved by monkeys.]
It seed rather peculiar.
Fuji reached the end and still hadn't found what Zhang Ze was looking for. As she was about to search again and consider asking the Beast Taming Sect to help, Xiaoxue appeared behind her.
"No need to search, you won't find it." Xiaoxue said, with her hands in her sleeves.
"Huh?" Fuji didn't understand.
Xiaoxue didn't explain there. Instead, she took Fuji out of the dicine King Hall and brought her to the grass hut where her master, Qin Lang, usually resided.
Xiaoxue expertly opened a cabinet, took out the finest tea from the innermost drawer, and, without brewing it, poured it out like candies for Fuji.
"Here, you won't find it, whether you go to dicine King Valley or the Beast Taming Sect." Xiaoxue said, chewing on tea leaves, her words a bit muddled.
Fuji didn't interrupt, fully imrsing herself in the tea-chewing experience.
Xiaoxue continued, "Aren't you curious? Despite all the amazing spirit plants and spirit beasts in Chang State, neither the Beast Taming Sect nor dicine King Valley have developed it extensively. Their attitude towards Chang State is almost indifferent to the point of ignorance."
Although Fuji had never thought about this question, she nodded vigorously as an agreeable sidekick would.
Xiaoxue said, "My master once expressed interest in the Mother Tree of Chang State but eventually gave up. It wasn't because he couldn't uproot the giant tree underground, but because he mustn't do so."
Xiaoxue reached out and tapped Fuji's forehead.
"All living things in Chang State share a similarity with you.
"In a certain sense, Chang State is 'alive.' It's a self-contained ecological whole with its own balance; removing the Mother Tree or overexploiting it would devastate everything in Chang State."
The saying goes: without trade, there's no killing. The prices of many things in the East Continent are actually determined by the demand of the Six Sects.
When the Six Sects set their sights on a place, even if they do nothing, it attracts the attention of Loose Cultivators, and when people gather, anything can happen.
Therefore, ignorance is the best protection for Chang State. Even if Cultivators occasionally stumble upon it, they are rely driven out, humbled and ruffled by Chang State's unique environnt, unable to stir up any trouble.
It's only because the Black Stone related to the Central Continent showed up this ti, that reliable disciples from the Six Sects were specifically sent to investigate, and their task was solely focused on the Black Stone.
Unlike usual, no series of additional missions were issued.
After listening to Xiaoxue, Fuji scratched her head in disappointnt.
"So, does this an we can't trace the origin of that Da Tou Cai?"
"Not quite," Xiaoxue shook her head and said, "My master spent hundreds of years in Chang State because of the Mother Tree, and though he didn't succeed, he didn't walk away empty-handed."
"He kept a diary about his life in Chang State during those hundreds of years, recording his observations, and it might contain clues."
"Where is this diary?" Fuji asked, exuding a refreshing fragrance after finishing half a jar of tea leaves.
"I don't know, but it should be hidden sowhere in this grass hut, so let's get searching."
With that, Xiaoxue pried open another cabinet, took out a ginseng root, examined it for a mont, and upon realizing it was a few hundred years old but still quite ordinary, she popped it into her mouth.
...
Falling Rain Mountain.
The rain kept falling upwards, and Little Douding led his newfound friends back to the base of the teardrop-shaped Falling Rain Mountain.
Now, standing close, Zhang Ze felt the strange force surrounding Falling Rain Mountain more distinctly.
Centered on it, a certain order erged, as if this bizarre Floating Mountain was indeed alive.
"Doo-doo-doo~ doo-doo-doo~" As the little guy humd, a light green halo lit up, revealing a doorway.
"Ready to go ho~"
