Of course, so people’s expressions were not visible to Nan Zhubin at the mont.

To avoid affecting the students’ engagent, Nan Zhubin sat in the seat furthest from the projector, directly facing it.

In other words, with everyone facing the projector, he could only see parts of the profiles of three or four people, and the rest he could only see the back of their heads.

But...

Folded arms, hunched necks, frequently changing sitting positions, and the occasional "tsk" sound.

The intense emotional experience was already enough to reflect on all the students’ bodies.

And the chairs that were moved from ti to ti.

These [emotions] could easily be heard without being seen.

However, for Nan Zhubin, this was still not enough.

...

The video continued to play.

Nan Zhubin explained in a calm tone: "Next, we co to the second day of the experint."

[Noise from the prison echoed, as the prison guards panicked and ran to check on the prisoners. After a quick glance, one of them soon brought a fire extinguisher and started spraying into the cells. After another round of commotion, the cell quieted down, and the prison guard took a few prisoners away.]

"The first day of the prison was evidently unbearable, so the prisoners, who were volunteers, organized a riot on the second day. They used beds to block the cell doors, resisting the entrance of the prison guard volunteers, and tore off the number tags from their prison clothes, shouting ’This is not a prison.’

"The experint barely began, and it seed to have entered a predicant."

"As the host of the experint, Zimbardo, posing as the ’prison warden,’ ordered the prison guards to ’resolve it themselves.’"

At this point, Nan Zhubin paused for a mont.

"So the prison guards stripped the rebellious prisoners naked and locked them in solitary confinent, confiscating their beds from the cells."

"They set up a ’privileged cell’ for prisoners who perford well, giving them clean prison uniforms, allowing them to shower, and letting them have gourt als."

"These ’privileged prisoners’ initially refused the rewards, expressing their willingness to share the sa fate with their companions. So all the rewards were withdrawn, and all the prisoner volunteers suffered extensive corporal punishnt again, including developnt, jumping jacks, push-ups, etc."

"anwhile, the prison guard volunteers forbade the prisoner volunteers from bathing and using the toilet, ordering them to use buckets in their cells to address their needs. This quickly worsened the hygiene conditions of the cells."

"During this process, the professors and team mbers observing the surveillance gave no instructions, maintaining a ’tacit approval’ stance."

The students’ unease intensified, led by Zhang Zihao and two others.

The friction between the chairs and the floor grew more frequent and piercing.

Nan Zhubin ignored it.

He continued, "The turning point ca on the second night."

[The prisoners whispered among themselves, and one suddenly stood up, starting to shout again.]

The scene shifted.

[Professors, impeccably dressed, sat beside a desk, whispering about sothing.]

The scene shifted again.

[The prisoner who initially shouted lay on the bed, deep in thought.]

A persuasive voice reerged in the video, this ti lower and more mature.

Nan Zhubin coordinated with the scene, translating the English content while interjecting his interpretations.

"On the second night, the leader who organized the ’prisoner rebellion’ requested to withdraw from the experint, but was persuaded by Professor Zimbardo to stay. Simultaneously, Professor Zimbardo attempted to recruit this ’rebellion leader’ as an ’informant,’ promising better rewards in exchange for information about the prisoners."

"The leader, who failed to leave the experint, was very frustrated, telling his companions, ’I can’t get out.’ ’The professors won’t let us leave the experint.’ As the organizer of the rebellion, his reaction greatly impacted the prisoners."

The students stared intently at the screen, fully imrsed in the unfolding experint.

They seed to expect the contemplative ’rebellion leader’ on the screen would betray, but the truth surprised them.

[The rebellion leader began to scream hysterically, crying out loud.]

"That night, the rebellion leader had a ntal breakdown and lost complete control. For safety reasons, the professors had to intervene and allowed the rebellion leader to leave the experint."

Nan Zhubin said, "By then, only 36 hours had passed since the start of the experint."

...

Just 36 hours, and a volunteer had already had a ntal breakdown.

There was a "gulp" sound.

Even with the video playing and causing auditory interference, Nan Zhubin heard Li Mingchen’s throat swallowing beside him.

Clearly, he particularly empathized with the events unfolding in the video.

The images in the video kept playing, and at that mont, the music suddenly shifted to a much lighter tone.

[The prisoners began cleaning their cells vigorously.]

[A bald middle-aged man and woman dined with the volunteers, looking concerned.]

Nan Zhubin said, "The experint entered the third day—Family Visit Day. This was specified in the experint’s initial charter."

"To reassure the families of these student volunteers, the prison guards organized the prisoners to clean their cells, fed them, and issued a warning—any inappropriate behavior during family visits would result in shortened visiting ti."

"Ultimately, each prisoner got ten minutes with two family mbers. Surprisingly, during this ti, the atmosphere between prisoners and their families was exceedingly warm, and not a single prisoner ntioned any negative experiences during the experint."

"Regrettably, on the sa day, the prison guards were inford that there might be a ’jailbreak.’ Although nothing happened in the end, the guards were exhausted from overworking for a whole day, without als, and they ultimately blad the prisoner volunteers for their hardship."
