Although there was doubt in his heart, Nan Zhubin still didn’t voice it out.

After all, Nan Zhubin judged that in their past interactions, Xia Tian’s moral standards displayed within her professional conduct were not inferior to his own.

When it ca to the confidential information of visitors, she would very consciously refrain from asking him too much; and when it involved the parties concerned, she would very promptly stop talking, not saying more to him.

Therefore, Nan Zhubin felt that the young girl now coming to him with these questions must have her own considerations in mind.

At least she wouldn’t harm him, nor would she harm herself.

Moreover, Nan Zhubin did not detect any unpleasant micro expressions on Xia Tian’s face.

"Listening to you, it seems you really hope Nan Zhihao can provide complete evidence and file a private lawsuit regarding his situation?"

This was a question Nan Zhubin didn’t voice, even though Xia Tian’s earlier statent did sowhat implicitly suggest this.

But Nan Zhubin believed Xia Tian would proactively explain her actions and intentions.

Sure enough, the next mont Xia Tian explained, "Teacher Nan, when our unit usually handles cases or other matters, we certainly start by following legal provisions and regulations."

"However, on this basis, we also consider the life situation of the victim after the matter is over; sotis, if we follow a rigid path, it may cause secondary harm to the victim—so we make different choices at such tis."

Xia Tian emphasized, "Legal work talks about legal principles, but it also needs to consider basic common sense and human sentint."

Nan Zhubin nodded.

Xia Tian added, "Like certain private lawsuits, it’s because the social impact isn’t so severe, yet it seriously affects the parties involved, thus they beco ’private lawsuits.’"

These words seed like groundwork being laid; Nan Zhubin just listened, without joining in, intending to wait for Xia Tian to continue.

"So at first, when Nan Zhihao was unwilling to provide complete evidence for the public prosecution part, or to file a private lawsuit, we understood. However..."

"As I said, Nan Zhihao’s situation has changed greatly." Saying this, Xia Tian pursed her lips, "For soone who initially had a positive attitude, but then changed his mind in a short ti, we’ve encountered such cases before, and they are generally more special."

"That’s why I wanted to ask Teacher Nan, what is your current assessnt of Nan Zhihao? Specifically regarding this trial."

Looking at Xia Tian’s serious expression and eyes, Nan Zhubin pondered for a mont.

He repeated Xia Tian’s words: "Specifically regarding this trial?"

Xia Tian nodded.

Nan Zhubin also nodded, and directly gave an answer, "I think he is ready."

"Really?" Xia Tian asked.

Nan Zhubin affird this statent, "Based on what I observed in our last consultation, he already has enough energy to overco the fear he might face in attending the trial, and he is motivated to make and act on this decision alone."

This answer also confird Xia Tian’s previous judgnt that "Nan Zhihao’s state is relatively positive and proactive."

Xia Tian thought for a mont and then asked, "After participating in this trial, if we don’t consider any real-world compensations, and just focus on attending the trial—will this be beneficial to Nan Zhihao’s state?"

"Or rather," Xia Tian rephrased her words, "Will it help in his psychological consultation therapy, and your work, Teacher Nan?"

This question was a bit stranger than the previous ones, so Nan Zhubin took a mont to carefully consider his wording.

He answered cautiously, "I don’t have a comprehensive grasp of trial-related materials yet, so I don’t know what the outcos might be..."

Xia Tian quickly interjected, "What if there’s definitely a good result?"

This caused Nan Zhubin to pause, feeling increasingly that sothing was amiss.

Under normal circumstances, should these words be spoken to him?

However, Nan Zhubin still replied, "I am relatively optimistic. Whether it’s for the visitor themselves, or for the progress of the consultation process..."

Then, Nan Zhubin saw that Xia Tian’s expression eased a little, as if she had made so decision.

Nan Zhubin added, "Moreover, I also support your speculation. From a psychological consultation perspective, if a visitor experiences a major emotional change suddenly after consultation, it must be because a significant real-life event occurred..."

This particular part seed to go unheard by Xia Tian.

She seed to be imrsed in her thoughts, and so previously cluttered notions seed to have been untangled at this instant.

"Jaw muscles tightened, the chin line montarily defined."

"Lips drawn inward, pressed flat, forming a tight line."

"Slight and quick nod, pupils slightly dilated due to high concentration..."

Nan Zhubin couldn’t help but glance at Xia Tian’s micro expressions.

These flashed and disappeared, calming down faster than others Nan Zhubin had observed before.

Before Nan Zhubin could say anything else, Xia Tian was already getting up.

Her hand still rested on the table, "Teacher Nan, keep up the good work."

With that, she left.

After turning and stepping into the elevator, she took out her phone and quickly opened a conversation window, entering sothing inside.

...

Nan Zhihao swiped open his phone, looked at the ti and location displayed in the chat window, confird there was no error, then looked up at the courthouse entrance ahead.

In his current plan, he theoretically wouldn’t be coming here anymore.

Nan Zhihao adjusted the mask on his face, looking around for the girl who had arranged to et him today.

"Hello."

Saw Xia Tian coming over from the side, carrying a pile of things, eyes curved with a greeting, looking quite cheerful.

"Assistant Xia." Nan Zhihao walked over and asked Xia Tian, "I received a ssage saying so evidence still needs confirmation, correct?"

Xia Tian nodded, "Yes, the trial is in a few days, so we wanted to reconfirm the evidence you are submitting. Although it’s possible to submit it at the last minute before court, if you are willing, the earlier the better."

I don’t want to go there at all, Nan Zhihao thought to himself.

He felt odd, as if such small matters, if they didn’t involve signing or submitting written materials, could be communicated over the phone.

Xia Tian shook the small box in her hand and said, "Oh, I’m just about to head out, shall we talk as we walk?"

Nan Zhihao’s strange feeling grew stronger.
