Chapter 604: Chapter 565: The Real Major Project

A more over-the-top girlfriend?

Nan Zhubin took a deep breath, thinking about the visitor’s previous wish to “learn to restrain emotions.”

He could sowhat guess the story that would follow.

“It’s like, teacher, can you understand? That kind of, uh… it’s sothing he told , he said the more it hurts, the more it allows him to feel that tangible emotional connection.”

“He told the more his girlfriend is… uh, forceful with him, the more he feels that she loves him… on this matter, teacher, can you understand?”

The visitor was once again seeking [validation].

A bit hard to maintain composure.

But… as a psychological consultant, Nan Zhubin could indeed understand.

So, Nan Zhubin nodded slightly.

However, the visitor didn’t seem to be very firm in seeking an answer, quickly speaking on about the direct cause for making this request.

“But, after these kinds of things beca more frequent, I… my friend, he said his threshold beca higher and higher. Things that used to make him feel loved, little by little could no longer stir his emotions.”

The visitor rubbed his stubble, the dense sensation also providing a calming effect, supplenting his strength to say the following words.

“Then a while ago, I, that friend, went overboard. Because perhaps he constantly craved emotional experiences, in the end, it landed him in the hospital.”

The visitor shivered: “I also visited him in the hospital, just… not saying it was severe, but it was quite embarrassing.”

“So, I wanted to ask the teacher— for his situation, is there any better way to restrain one’s emotions… no, not ‘restrain emotions,’ it should be ‘restrain the need for emotions’?”

The visitor looked at Nan Zhubin intensely, eyes gleaming.

Nan Zhubin blinked. With the motion of his eyelids, he felt as if his pupils were flickering under the opposite light.

With a “click,” Nan Zhubin exited the consultation room, briefly chatted with Mo Kai, and then sat back at his workstation, rubbing his temples.

Before he could finish a cup of coffee, Mo Kai returned from the consultation room, excited.

“Senior Brother, this visitor renewed their subscription, buying the top-tier package!”

That fast, huh.

By now, Nan Zhubin’s brain had slightly cooled down, nodding in acknowledgnt: “Their problem… indeed requires long-term intervention. Plus, they’re quite eager to solve it, and they have a decent financial base…”

Such analysis also imparted professional skills to Mo Kai, helping him understand which visitors were more likely to renew and see the necessity in doing so.

In ti, Mo Kai wouldn’t need Nan Zhubin to instruct him anymore; he would be able to judge what level of promotion to provide to each visitor. And if Mo Kai ever got the chance to consult independently, these skills would co in handy.

“The second visitor of the afternoon also renewed, albeit at a slightly lower tier, but still booked four consultations a month…”

It was the visitor who made Nan Zhubin specifically look up the difference between “stepmother” and “second mother.”

Nan Zhubin also briefly analyzed this visitor’s situation for Mo Kai. Regardless of problem-solving, this visitor’s repressed need for venting definitely required psychological consultation. And since this visitor ca from a good family, they were also capable of affording long-term consultations.

The second-tier and top-tier packages both offer four consultations a month, but comparatively, the lower tier lacks a service that allows “online communication with a consultant at any ti.”

This “consultant” for online communication is Mo Kai. This weakened version of online consulting capability is possessed by all consulting assistants in the company.

Many small companies even distribute specialized scripts to new sales or assistants to handle such situations, considered as “value-added services.”

Of course, the professional quality that Bai Qinghua’s company offers for such “communication” is nearly equivalent to regular online text counseling.

“The first visitor didn’t renew, but this was sothing you specifically instructed, so I didn’t go deeper in that direction with her.”

Nan Zhubin nodded. This was the visitor who had inappropriate feelings for her best friend, and as a regular university student, it was rare enough for her to be willing to pay for one professional psychological consultation. Her problem wasn’t particularly severe.

Although in terms of sequence, the first visitor Nan Zhubin attended to this afternoon was Li Lingling, she was an unplanned visitor.

So it’s not incorrect for Mo Kai to refer to the friend-feelings visitor as the “first visitor.”

“Oh, right, Senior Brother.” After completing the report requiring imdiate attention, Mo Kai seed to recall sothing, “Teacher Bai and Senior Brother Chong are looking for you, asking you to go to the office after your consultation.”

“…Oh?” Nan Zhubin blinked, then stood up.

Returning to Bai Qinghua’s office for the second ti that afternoon. Compared to last ti, Chonghui was now present in the office.

“Senior Brother.” Nan Zhubin first nodded at the big guy; although they’d already t that afternoon, he still routinely greeted him.

Seeing his young apprentice in place, Bai Qinghua felt that his two most direct consultants in the company were present.

Shi Qianqian was subconsciously ignored; her current consultation skills weren’t enough, and her main talent was oriented towards academic research. She’s on a different developntal path.

“Zhuren, now that Liu Jiahang has left, the company is short on a backup supervisor. I plan to let you and Dahui take on more responsibilities…” Bai Qinghua began with the first order of business.
