Now reading: Chapter 86 - 86 85 This Charm Can't Be Increased Anymore from Who would study psychology unless they had some issues?!, a Urban novel by Panda's Big Log Cabin.

86: Chapter 85 This “Charm” Can’t Be Increased Anymore 86: Chapter 85 This “Charm” Can’t Be Increased Anymore This is the significant constraint of comrcial psychological consultation on traditional psychological consultation.

Money.

This point is evident in Shen Bing, and even in other consultants who transitioned from different fields.

After all, running a company requires making a living.

However, for consultants like Nan Zhubin and Weng Pinting, who graduated from psychology programs, there are things more important than making money.

But can we say that Howard’s ideas are completely wrong?

Not entirely.

Don’t be fooled by the fact that Weng Pinting currently puts visitors first.

But if Weng Pinting, an expert in professional skills, were to sit in the boss’s chair, she might have to consider the comrcial balance.

So, even though being scolded now, Nan Zhubin thought about it and felt it was best not to confront the boss at the mont.

So Nan Zhubin downplayed it and said, “This client is very interested in renewing, and her issues are indeed not completely resolved.”

Nan Zhubin didn’t lie—Chen Ting is indeed interested in renewing, but Nan Zhubin doesn’t want to take it on; and psychological issues are basically not thoroughly resolved, so the remaining part can only be faced by the client strengthening themselves.

“It’s just that her financial capability isn’t sufficient to support long-term consultation fees, and her parents have many concerns about psychological consultation, so…”

Nan Zhubin spread his hands, indicating that he had done his utmost.

——I’ve adjusted my attitude correctly, I’m on the sa line with you, boss, but the objective conditions are just not permitting.

Heaven has dood , it’s not the fault of the war.

Howard pondered and accepted the explanation: “It seems we have misunderstood the direction of the problem.

Let Shen Bing contact the client’s parents more often in the future.”

Alright, good luck to Little Brother Bing.

At this point, Howard seed to have just noticed Nan Zhubin’s condition: “Why are you still standing?

Sit.”

Nan Zhubin pulled up a smile, finally ending his posture of reporting and even introspection.

Howard continued to inquire with focus on performance: “Which cases under your charge currently have the hope of renewal?”

Nan Zhubin thought for a mont: “Mr.

Huang from the bar.”

Speaking honestly.

Perhaps because he’s simple with too much money, Mr.

Huang sowhat treats Nan Zhubin as a kind of “regular psychological maintenance” like massage therapy, coming by every ten days or half a month to have a chat and be scolded.

Nan Zhubin himself never expected Mr.

Huang to be his most stable client.

As for the other clients, Nan Zhubin actually had a similar attitude to Chen Ting—once the issues were more or less resolved, he would impart appropriate self-help thods to help them break free from psychological consultation.

Even with Mr.

Huang, Nan Zhubin had made a similar statent beforehand, but Mr.

Huang was exceptionally determined to continue consultations.

Nan Zhubin simply saw that Mr.

Huang had no deep psychological issues and just wanted to spend money to find a trustworthy person to vent to—so this money might as well be earned.

However, these truths could not be shared with Howard.

Howard’s deanor perated with a hint of making Nan Zhubin uneasy.

Nan Zhubin selectively presented the facts about his current cases to Howard.

Howard fell into thought.

“In short, the only stable renewal is with that bar owner?”

“Yes.”

“What was the issue he initially ca to consult you about?”

“Emotional problems.” Nan Zhubin listed with familiarity, “He consulted on how to win back his girlfriend who threatened to break up, but really, his issue was a deeper career crisis…”

But Howard didn’t listen to the latter part of Nan Zhubin’s words.

Lighting a cigarette, he pondered, “Emotional issues, indeed, that’s it…”

Suddenly, as if coming to a revelation, he looked up and said, “I have an idea.

Xiao Nan, how about we do this…”

“Riiiing—”

The jarring sound interrupted Howard.

When they saw Nan Zhubin take out his phone to turn off the pre-set alarm, Howard’s expression imdiately shifted to displeasure.

How could an employee act so inconsiderately during a boss’s conversation?

Nan Zhubin quickly said, “Boss, I have a consultation in a mont, set this alarm to remind of the ti.”

Howard paused, suppressing his discontent: “How much ti do you have?”

“In ten minutes, but the client might arrive early, so I need to check on the situation first.”

The client is always the most important.

No matter how many ideas the boss had, he couldn’t say them now.

Listening to this, Howard could only wave his hand: “Go ahead, after you finish this consultation, there are still things I need to discuss with you.”

Nan Zhubin agreed.

A series of “tap tap tap” sounds of high heels hitting the floor echoed.

Then ca a “click,” as the consultation room’s door was opened.

Looking at the client’s information, sorting out the consultation strategy, Nan Zhubin lifted his head upon hearing the sound.

The visitor was female, aged 24, with fairly good looks.

Tall stature, well-proportioned, with traces of fitness visible from the curves.

It’s hard to say if she dressed up on purpose or ca from another venue temporarily, but the client wore a form-fitting low-cut sleeveless bodycon dress, black pantyhose, and had on bright makeup.

From her outfit and appearance, she exuded a radiant aura.

Except she seed very exhausted ntally.

When seeing Nan Zhubin’s face clearly, the client’s weariness montarily cleared, as if rejuvenated, looking bright-eyed.

“Hello.” Nan Zhubin initiated the conversation with standard consultant etiquette, pointing to the sofa beside him, “Please have a seat.”

Apart from the single sofa Nan Zhubin was currently seated on, there was another single sofa facing him, and a double sofa next to him in the consultation room.

The client sat in the middle of the double sofa, head lowered, seemingly brewing her emotions.

“I’m your consultant today, you can call ‘Mr.

Nan’.” Nan Zhubin began the usual self-introduction.

“How old are you, Mr.

Nan?” The client asked after sitting down, examining Nan Zhubin’s face for a while.

Nan Zhubin smiled, “24.”

He observed the client’s reaction.

Nan Zhubin’s age was one of his biggest disadvantages in doing consultations.

It’s like people prefer to see older traditional dicine doctors; they also tend to look for more mature consultants when seeking them out, believing that consultants with extensive life experience can provide more grounded life advice.

During his work, there had been instances of visitors turning away upon seeing his young face, or hesitating to leave after hearing his age, turning back again.

Nan Zhubin couldn’t say much about it because having age requirents is understandable and entirely reasonable.
