Capítulo 868: Chapter 705: [Aura]_2

“That’s what you’re saying, but this thing—” The director with the ruddy nose waved the card in his hand, “—you psychology people listen to our stories, can you analyze what we’re thinking and even figure out what kind of people we are?”

Ah, this is a question that people in psychology particularly dislike.

Shi Chuxin’s gaze involuntarily drifted to the card in the ruddy-nosed director’s hand—[Docunt]and [Profile]

The forr is in pure black and white tones, the image shows layers of stacked docunts, the edges of which are sowhat disordered, with a pen leaning diagonally on the right side of the pile, in simple lines;

The latter is a basic version of a core card depicting a human face, still in black and white tones, with a blurred profile, eyes downcast.

Shi Chuxin opened her mouth, but before she could speak, the ruddy-nosed director turned his head toward the HR director: “Sister Zong, take a look at these two cards, isn’t it a coincidence? It’s practically a portrait of our departnt’s situation—piles of unfinished work on the desk, and never a mont of relaxation on our faces.”

The ruddy-nosed director’s words had deeper anings.

Though he was smiling, his gaze never left HR director’s eyes: “My guys recently seem like they’re soulless, answering off-topic questions, forgetting tasks here and there; I’m overwheld with a pile of tasks on my side and have to keep an eye on them, it’s—I’m spread too thin.”

As he spoke, the ruddy-nosed director pointed to the front row: “Look over there—”

Shi Chuxin and the HR director instinctively looked in the direction he indicated. A man in gray workwear, around thirty, sat there, looking out of place.

If Shi Chuxin and the others had been paying attention to the man in gray workwear from the start, they would have known he hadn’t said a word during this segnt, nor did he actively team up with anyone around him. He seed lost, indifferent to the surrounding clamor.

“That’s Old Zhuang from my team, you know him too, Sister Zong. He used to be a good lad, but now—work stress, you know.”

The ruddy-nosed director shifted his gaze back: “You see, this salon, to say the least, isn’t helping him. If you’re concerned about employees’ ntal health, it should start with their daily work, right?”

He seed to be chatting idly, but his gaze was especially firm when he ntioned “daily work” as he looked at the HR director.

The HR director seed unfazed, maintaining a shallow, courteous smile for workplace social occasions.

A smile more appropriate and charming than the ruddy-nosed director’s.

“Brother Xing, this is an EAP salon, it’s soone else’s event, we should cooperate at least a little.”

“Let’s not worry about work now, let’s participate and relax.” The HR director shuffled through the cards in her hand as if genuinely interested in them, “As for the issues with your team, we can discuss them later.”

“Maybe Teacher Nan here will have so good targeted strategies for him?”

The 10 minutes quickly passed.

Nan Zhubin returned to the podium, glanced around the room, then gently clapped to signal: “Alright, ti’s up.”

The eting room gradually quieted down.

“Thank you all for sharing—through the recent interaction, you should be familiar with the tools we’ll be using today.”

As he spoke, Nan Zhubin looked to one side of the podium.

There sat an unopened black box, also containing OH Cards, which Nan Zhubin had prepared for the next segnt.

Picking up the set of cards, Nan Zhubin said, “The previous session was just a warm-up, now let’s conclude that for the mont and move to today’s core activity.”

“You might have noticed two chairs placed at the front of the podium, I would like to invite about 5 volunteers to co up and sit around these chairs for a more in-depth group OH Cards exercise—the [Life River].”

As he spoke, Nan Zhubin gestured to the space in front of everyone.

The large empty area and the two chairs placed there didn’t escape anyone’s eyes.

The two chairs had already piqued the crowd’s curiosity, with many guessing what kind of activity would revolve around them.

“So instead of having one person sit there and talk, it’s a group sitting around these two chairs…”

Nan Zhubin heard so murmuring from the audience, the tone uncertain whether it was of anticipation or disappointnt.

As if he hadn’t heard, he continued: “Unlike before, in this segnt, we’ll use the cards to explore past stress challenges, current states, and future expectations. By understanding ourselves, we also help to alleviate the stress we’re facing now.”

“Are there any willing volunteers to co up? Don’t be nervous, the whole process follows the principles of voluntariness and non-judgnt.”

“Of course, confidentiality is most important—please don’t record or take photos during this session.”

Nan Zhubin watched the audience’s reactions.

The warm-up was just preparation, the construction of the haloeffect and the display of his own ability would truly begin from this segnt.

The eting room fell into brief silence, people looking at each other, no one eager to be the first to co up. After all, it took a lot of courage to explore one’s stress and vulnerabilities in front of dozens of colleagues.

However, a few younger people in the back seed eager; these were groups that Nan Zhubin had engaged with during his earlier walkthrough.

This was also another purpose of his floor inspection—to selectively engage and boost part of the audience’s willingness to participate.

Preventing coldness in sessions requiring ‘volunteers.’

It’s a little “social psychology” trick. The pre-engagent through “floor inspection” essentially built positive associations of “safety, non-pressure, respect” before inviting volunteers later, establishing initial interpersonal trust, and weakening their resistance to “exposing vulnerabilities on stage.”

In other words, in the psychological sense, Nan Zhubin had found a few “plants” among the crowd.

Of course, these individuals might not even realize they’re being influenced by Nan Zhubin.

Sure enough,

“Buzz—”

The sound of chairs moving was heard imdiately.

However,

The result wasn’t what Nan Zhubin had expected.

A stiff figure slowly stood up first, drawing the attention of everyone in the room, including Nan Zhubin.

—It was the man in gray workwear sitting in the front row, who had been disengaged and non-cooperative.

Nan Zhubin’s brow raised slightly.

In fact, during his earlier walkthrough, he had noticed this individual. If his mory served him right, this grey workwear man hadn’t ford a group earlier.

He had been like a sleepwalker throughout the warm-up session, only drawing two cards with soone beside him in the latter part without sharing any stories.

Nan Zhubin had originally thought this man would remain silent to the end, or even leave early.

Unexpectedly, he chose to co up now.

However, Nan Zhubin’s face didn’t reveal any inner emotions, he simply said, “Please have a seat.”

The man in gray workwear looked a bit confused, chanically moving his chair to a position angled towards both the audience and Nan Zhubin.

Thinking for a mont, he suddenly lifted his hand: “These are the cards I drew just now…”

Intending to return them.

Nan Zhubin didn’t imdiately take them.

Although the subject was different from his expectations, the process remained correct.

Nan Zhubin suddenly adopted a thoughtful deanor, saying, “If I rember correctly, the two cards you drew earlier were ‘Shepherd and Flock’ and ‘Ship in Waves’;”

“The forr’s image shows a bright green grassland at the bottom, a shepherd in brown clothes standing on the grass, with a few sheep in the middle part of the image, and blue sky with white clouds above;”

“The latter’s image has a predominantly dark tone, the sea and waves in the background are deep grey, and the ship is brown. Correct?”

The man in grey workwear, who was extending the cards, paused, and subconsciously pulled his hand back.

He hadn’t even rembered the contents of the cards himself.

After a breath of confirmation, he raised his head in disbelief: “…Yes.”

In the eting room, the gazes that had been focused on the man in grey workwear suddenly shifted back to Nan Zhubin.
