Chen Wen's actions also shocked the show's team.

They couldn't believe that in today's society, soone would take such risks out of humanitarianism to save two strangers.

Yet, Chen Wen appeared alive right in front of them.

And Norman's words were even more surprising.

Isn't this like the knights in the ancient tis pledging loyalty to their lord?

Why is this?

Greg looked at the rescue team's information and sighed: "Norman's daughter is part of a rescue team, and she should be one of the two trapped!"

Well, that explains it.

If there's any emotion in this world that's devoid of any self-interest,

it's the feelings between parents and children.

For the most part.

Greg communicated with Chen Wen for a while, then turned to the technicians: "Everyone! Chen Wen, as a foreigner from the East, can do so much for our people. We can't let him do it alone!"

"Right now, the technicians must maintain communication with Chen Wen; we're now Chen Wen's compass, responsible for guiding him!"

Upon hearing this, the technicians felt a surge of excitent.

"Don't worry, we will guide him well!"

Greg nodded and continued, "Keep communication at all tis, plus set up an additional line for Chen Wen to communicate with the rescue team in real-ti!"

"No problem!"

The show's team was bustling with activity.

By the ti Chen Wen put on headphones, all three parties were on the sa channel.

He cleared his throat.

Chen Wen said, "I'm heading out now, please pay attention to my path and correct if I deviate from it!"

"No problem!"

Greg said, "Moreover, the weather is on our side. According to the teorological departnt, there won't be any strong winds in your area within the next day."

This was good news.

Chen Wen took a deep breath and temporarily turned off his microphone.

He mounted a moose, turned, and waved to the rescue team.

Then he headed into the blizzard without looking back.

The rescue team watched as Chen Wen disappeared into the forest with a flashlight, and everyone couldn't help rubbing their eyes.

Bittersweet.

...

Over at Chen Wen's side.

He patted the moose's body: "Sorry for the trouble this ti!"

The moose chuckled and said, "It's nothing, I quite like humans. After all, the two Druids I've t were kind-hearted, and I'm also willing to help humans."

Upon hearing this, Chen Wen chuckled, then continued, "That's because we are naturally close to you. If it's an unfamiliar human, it's best to keep so caution."

The moose nodded, seemingly understanding.

After instructing the moose on the direction, Chen Wen also got busy.

He fastened two flashlights on the moose's sides with ropes to light up the path ahead.

He then tightened the backpack on his back, filled with supplies for ergency treatnt of hypothermia.

In addition, Chen Wen grabbed a compass,

and a large-caliber handgun for self-defense.

Honestly, this was Chen Wen's first ti holding a real gun.

One loaded with real bullets.

A rescue worker cautioned Chen Wen: "This gun holds nine bullets in total, each capable of taking down large animals. However, it has a significant recoil; I hope you can manage it."

Then he taught Chen Wen how to shoot and aim.

Chen Wen looked at the pistol, sowhat like a Desert Eagle, and his lips curled up slightly.

The last ti he played with this sort of thing was in a ga.

"Well, the focus this ti is on finding people, not worrying about other stuff."

After turning on the microphone, Chen Wen directed the moose towards the direction Lei Man ntioned.

...

With the handgun, Chen Wen's figure continued to traverse through the slightly whitening Great Slave Lake forest.

His eyes glowed green in the light reflected off the snow.

The [Night Vision] attribute allowed Chen Wen to hardly be affected by the darkness.

Still, the flying snow affected him; while walking, Chen Wen often had his view obscured by snowflakes falling from the sky.

"According to Norman, he walked through the icy terrain for a whole afternoon before reaching my place."

Chen Wen estimated Norman's speed, roughly judging the distance to the snow hut.

Soon, he ca to a conclusion.

"Damn, even with the moose, without taking detours, I'll probably only arrive by noon!"

Chen Wen said, sowhat helpless.

An afternoon and a night yesterday, plus this morning...

Chen Wen felt he might arrive only to collect bodies.

If the North Arican gray wolves that attacked the rescue team followed, he might not even be able to collect bodies.

Though Chen Wen didn't say it directly, everyone understood his point.

Greg cleared his throat, then whispered: "Chen Wen, if you feel this trip is no longer necessary..."

"Oh."

Chen Wen interrupted Greg, his voice steady: "No matter what, I've promised to help with this, so I'll definitely see it through to the end."

No one said much more, just worked harder to provide support for Chen Wen.

All morning, Chen Wen kept moving forward.

The wind might not have started, but the snow kept getting heavier.

In the morning, there were large gaps between the snowflakes.

But by noon, Chen Wen looked up to the sky, seeing large clusters of snowflakes falling like gravel from the sky.

That dense feeling almost suffocated him.

"Is this what a blizzard is?"

Chen Wen felt the snowfall, quite moved.

The power of nature always inspired fear.

He shook his head, stopped looking up, and focused around him.

As noon approached, the sky brightened slightly.

But the snow made the visibility closer.

Still, Chen Wen had a way of finding those two rescue team mbers.

He asked the moose to keep sniffing the air while he used the [Red-Nosed Rudolph] attribute to search for unusual or bloody scents.

Yet, as he walked, besides the cold air, he slled nothing.

"Logically, it should be around this area."

Chen Wen shook his head, double-checked the current direction with the show's team,

finding no error.

Yet, he still couldn't see the snow hut.

"Could it be the snowfall has buried the markers on the snow hut? If that's the case, finding it will be difficult."

Chen Wen jumped off the moose, but the snow beneath him buried up to his waist.

His expression changed slightly; the snow was deeper!

Earlier, it only reached his mid-thigh.

Goodness, could soone really survive in such conditions with absolutely nothing?

Chen Wen couldn't help but question.

Minus forty degrees temperatures, over a ter deep snow.

No fire, only limited heat packs; if those two rescue team mbers made it to now, their ancestors underground surely have connections.

Thinking this, Chen Wen broke off a straight, long branch from a nearby tree.

Using it as a walking stick, he probed the way while moving forward.

anwhile, Chen Wen sent the moose in another direction to search for the two survivors as well.

After having the show's team record his current position coordinates, Chen Wen comnced action.

Just not too far from Chen Wen.

Inside a snow hut against a cliff, a man and woman had reached the end of their energy.

The woman was slightly better off, dressed thicker, and having a higher body fat percentage, she lived in northern Canada for a long ti.

Her resistance to the cold was slightly higher.

She could still stay clear-headed.

Yet, the man's situation was dire!

His body was stiff, half-awake and half-asleep.

In this hopeless situation.

Suddenly, outside the snow hut.

As chaotic footsteps and breathing drew near.

The still lucid woman paused; subconsciously, she poked a tiny hole in the snow hut.

To get a clear view of the outside.

But, not knowing before, upon seeing clearly outside, the woman's eyes filled with terror!

That sturdy, dark hair, the massive body, all inford the woman.

This was the culprit that pushed the rescue team to demise — North Arican gray wolves!

Moreover, this gray wolf seed to notice her.

With its head down, its yellow-green eyes glowing faintly, it t the woman's gaze!
