Chen Wen, who instantly turned back into a human, cursed as he climbed up, sand and dust falling off him in a torrent.

Hua Yun looked at Chen Wen nervously, afraid that he might have been bitten by this king of venomous snakes.
Waving his hand, Chen Wen said with lingering fear, "I’m fine, just scared out of my wits."
"You have no idea, just as I was about to stand up, this thing suddenly fell from the sky and landed on my neck."
Recalling earlier events, a wave of fear washed over Chen Wen again.
He looked at the culprit behind all the fear—the Inland Taipan Snake—and said, "Everyone, stay away from this thing, it’s an adult and very aggressive!"
He didn’t need to say much; everyone took a few instinctive steps back when they saw the Inland Taipan Snake adopting an offensive posture.
Seeing that Chen Wen was unhard, everyone felt much more relieved.
But now the question was how to deal with this Inland Taipan Snake, and everyone looked at Chen Wen.
Should we just leave it and move away?
Or should we deal with this Inland Taipan Snake to avenge the scare it gave Chen Wen?
Seeing everyone’s gaze, Chen Wen didn’t talk about what to do with the snake; instead, he asked, "How about you guys? No one else got hurt, right?"
Upon hearing this, everyone shook their heads.
The sandstorm wasn’t too severe, and they had responded fairly quickly.

"What about the supplies? Any loss?"
Hearing this, Dennis checked the supplies placed on top: "No loss either, we secured the supplies well and the cals were kept close."
Chen Wen nodded, feeling relieved.
Except for getting a fright from the Inland Taipan Snake, they hadn’t suffered much damage.
But when Chen Wen looked at the Inland Taipan Snake, his brows furrowed slightly.
This snake... is unusual!
Noticing the word "Timid" above the Inland Taipan Snake’s head, Chen Wen had so bold ideas.
This was a timid, special Inland Taipan Snake!
Chen Wen had never encountered a snake with a "Timid" disposition before, nor had he encountered a special animal like this.
And this ti, it turned out to be an Inland Taipan Snake, nad the king of land venomous snakes.
He really wanted to try taming this aggressive big snake.
So, Chen Wen said, "Why don’t you guys move ahead a bit?"

"Wow, can you really ta snakes?!"

Then, they looked at Chen Wen with an expression of disbelief.
"Ta an Inland Taipan Snake?"
Dennis swallowed hard.
Adam pondered, saying, "I’ve seen people in India use instrunts to control venomous snakes, but... you don’t have any instrunts with you, right?"
Fred pulled out a small piece of cal skin: "I cut out this small piece of cal skin earlier; you can use it to protect your hand from being bitten."
Glancing at the cal skin, Chen Wen politely declined Fred’s kind offer.
The Inland Taipan Snake’s fangs are quite long, and it could easily pierce this thin cal skin.
No use at all.
As for Adam’s suggestion of using a flute to control venomous snakes, Chen Wen rolled his eyes.
The principle is simple: it uses the vibration of the flute’s sound and the body’s swaying to create an illusion for the venomous snake, making it follow the motion.
Moreover, most Indian snake charrs usually remove the fangs of the venomous snakes beforehand, and so charlatans even replace real snakes with fake ones to fool people.
Chen Wen’s taming skill isn’t sothing those tricks can match.

After ensuring everyone left safely, Chen Wen looked at the Inland Taipan Snake curled up in the sand.
He turned off the recording device and cautiously said, "Hey, little snake, don’t be afraid, I an you no harm."
As Chen Wen’s voice fell, a hint of human-like hesitation flashed through the originally cold eyes of the Inland Taipan Snake.
It looked at Chen Wen, and its body imdiately beca tense.
This was a timid Inland Taipan Snake.
Like most Inland Taipan Snakes, its disposition was very timid and cautious.
Until today, and before the sandstorm hit.
It had been living not too far away in the stony desert.
There, it found its favorite variety of rodents.
With its powerful venom, its days had been going quite well until today.
But the problem lay in today.
Today, just like any other day, it had slowly crawled out of its burrow, sluggishly searching for its prey.
It was hungry.
The stony desert wasn’t barren, so finding food wasn’t difficult for it.
After a short search,
It located a fat-tailed dunnart.
Without any suspense.
The mont the Inland Taipan Snake bit into its body and injected its venom, the fat-tailed dunnart was as good as dead.
At that mont, the Inland Taipan Snake hadn’t even withdrawn its fangs.
Leisurely consuming the fat-tailed dunnart afterwards.
The Inland Taipan Snake, like usual, slowly made its way back to its burrow.
But just then,

The fierce wind swept across the ground, causing the Inland Taipan Snake to feel overwhelming fear.
In its panic, it was swept up by the sandstorm.
This ti, the gale was strong.
After being swept up, it was carried by the wind for a distance before being dropped onto the soft yellow sand.
It didn’t sustain much injury this ti.
Hence, it quickly composed itself and began searching for a shelter from the wind.

From the chaotic aromatic molecules in the air, it detected a scent similar to plants, mixed with the sll of large animals.
The Inland Taipan Snake crazily slithered toward the direction of the scent.
Soon, it found the cal herd.
Passing through the cal herd, the Inland Taipan Snake discovered that "plant."
Although this "plant" looked bizarre, it quickly burrowed in to escape the wind.
And Chen Wen, mistaken for a plant, ended up in this predicant.
Recalling today’s events,
The Inland Taipan Snake looked at this strange "plant," or rather, it’s not a plant.
With fear, the voice of the Inland Taipan Snake rang in Chen Wen’s ears: "Please, don’t hurt ! I won’t hurt you either, just let go."
Listening to the Inland Taipan Snake’s voice, the corner of Chen Wen’s mouth tugged.
Oh, wow, the voice sounds about as old as my pet Whistle Kite, and it’s female too.
Moreover, this Inland Taipan Snake seems to have a social anxiety disorder.
Its voice was not only small but also stamred when it spoke.
On top of that, when Chen Wen thought about how its venom could kill a hundred of him, yet listened to its pleading voice, he almost felt like he was the real king of serpents.
Awkwardly shaking the dust from his hair,
Chen Wen softly said, "Don’t worry, please don’t be afraid, I’m friendly, can you sense that?"
Hearing Chen Wen’s voice, the Inland Taipan Snake carefully sensed the situation.
Just like this odd entity said, there was no hostility on him.
On the contrary, there was a gentleness that made the Inland Taipan Snake want to lean toward.
"Yeah, yeah, you’re great, and thanks for what you did earlier. If it weren’t for you, I might have been blown away by the wind."
The Inland Taipan’s voice was small, but it still managed to express its gratitude to Chen Wen.
Feeling the constant friendliness emanating from Chen Wen, most of its tension eased.
Chen Wen also noticed that the Inland Taipan Snake no longer assud an offensive posture.
There’s hope!
Seeing the Inland Taipan Snake’s deanor, Chen Wen was delighted.
