Ian Douglas was taken aback, not expecting him to be so direct. He frowned in silence for a mont, then snorted coldly, "That’s right, I’m not satisfied with that little girl. With her qualifications, she’s totally unworthy of you. I don’t know what tricks she used to make you head over heels for her, ignoring all those other exceptional won and choosing her instead."
"Tell , she has no status, her looks aren’t top-notch, her character is utterly poor—what exactly do you see in such a worthless woman?"
"Being with you, isn’t she just after your money? Do you really think she genuinely likes you?"
After hearing Ian Douglas’s words, Matthew Saxon’s expression remained very calm, a slight smile in his eyes with no sign of anger. His lips moved as he spoke unhurriedly, "So your point, Grandpa, is that she’s only after my money?"
"Hmph, once she marries you, her status changes completely—from an ordinary person to soone in the upper-class circles. How many won could resist such a temptation?"
"Even if she likes you, such affection is built on your power and money. If you weren’t who you are now, just an ordinary person, would she be willing to marry you?"

Matthew Saxon’s expression was still peaceful as he curved his lips, holding a slight smile as he said, "Power and money are part of my strengths. If she really likes because of those, that’s not so bad."
He paused, smiled slightly, and continued, "At least, to her, I’m not worthless."
"If I can stay wealthy all my life, she’ll like for my money all her life. If I can get what I want with money, if this is a transaction, I’d consider it worth it. What do you think, Grandpa?"
"What are you saying?" Ian Douglas looked at him incredulously, "A woman who only covets your money, and you think that’s okay?"
If he hadn’t heard it with his own ears, Ian Douglas wouldn’t believe such outrageous words would co from his beloved grandson.
This is truly being bewitched, to even say such things, it’s like losing one’s mind.
"Anyway, the Saxon Family has plenty of money. If she’s after my money, so be it. No matter how extravagantly she spends, she can’t burn through it all at once. Just your assets alone, Grandpa, are enough for her to squander."
"You little rascal, I’m not dead yet, and you’re already planning to use my wealth! Just for that remark, all my future money will be donated to charity, not leaving you a penny."
Matthew Saxon curled his lips, spread his hands, "If Grandpa won’t leave a penny, then you shouldn’t ddle in my affairs. I know exactly what kind of woman Scarlett is, and you know once I’ve made up my mind, no one can stop . I don’t ask for you to like her, but I hope out of consideration for , you can accept her a bit and not be too harsh on her."
"If you want Scarlett to accompany you, I’ll discuss it with her, but if she’s unwilling, I can’t force her."
A lot of cold air poured into the room. Matthew Saxon stood by the window for a while, the cold wind blowing on his face, the chill seeping into his pores like needles.
