How could she be so heartless to him?
Clearly, he was the one who t her first, who knew her first, but now, she has fallen in love with another man.
He knows feelings can’t be forced, and they don’t follow the order of arrival; he lost to that proud brother of his, and he accepts it.
But he can’t stand her treating him like a stranger.
No, she wouldn’t be this indifferent even to a stranger, right?
She wasn’t even willing to give him ten minutes, even though he pleaded with her humbly, she still rcilessly rejected him.
She just said, if he continues to pester her like this, she will begin to hate him.
When she spoke, her tone was so indifferent, as if she was scolding soone she really disliked.
Has she already started to hate him? Does she see him as an annoying pest?
Though she didn’t say it, in her heart she might be scorning him, a failure with nothing to his na, how dare he place so many demands on her.
Yes, he’s a failure.
A failure should quietly pack up and leave, then hide their tail between their legs and never appear in the sa place as the person who defeated them, to avoid the humiliation of eting again.
Yet here he is, lacking awareness, questioning her.
She hasn’t said anything more hurtful, already saving his face, what more does he want?
Anger and jealousy surged in his heart, like two venomous snakes coiling around his heart, their venomous fangs piercing into him, poison seeping into his heart, spreading to his limbs.
He’s been poisoned, his mind no longer clear, his reason lost...
Bloodshot appeared in his once cool eyes, burning red with envy.
He never wanted to force her, nor hurt her.
He valued her feelings too much, not wishing to beco soone she dislikes in her eyes.
But now, nothing matters anymore.
In her eyes, he is already a despicable person, what else does he have to care about?
Sothing very important, if he can’t have it, won’t let others have it, then it must be destroyed.
Destroy her! Yes, destroy her!
If he is destined not to have her, then destroying her is better than watching her belong to soone else.
Once so dark thoughts from the heart erge, they beco unstoppable.
The poison seeping into the heart begins to take effect, spreading through his body, into his brain.
"Scarlett, you forced to do this, I’m sorry." Behind her, Maxwell’s cold voice turned sinister, reaching out with a large hand to close the door once more.
By the ti Scarlett realized sothing was wrong, it was already too late.
She was dragged back by Maxwell, who exuded a chilling aura, his face turning unfamiliar, filled with malice ignited by jealousy.
His gaze extrely cold, yet beneath it, flas of fire flickered.
Under dim light, his face, covered in coldness, seed as lifeless as a corpse.
In those equally chilling and compelling eyes, not a trace of sanity could be found, perhaps alcohol had begun to burn inside him, two eerie blushes appeared on his pale cheeks, his eyes flickering with flas, brimming with desire.
When those eyes full of desire deeply gazed at Scarlett, Scarlett couldn’t help but shiver.
Maxwell’s gaze was like that of a predator.
