Matthew Saxon knew what she was complaining about. He lowered his head, very carefully holding her hand in front of his eyes. Looking at the redness and swelling in her palm, he had a guilty look on his face, "I didn’t think it through. I thought even if Grandfather wasn’t satisfied with you, he wouldn’t do anything too excessive for my sake."
"I didn’t expect him to be so impatient, but don’t worry, this won’t happen again in the future."
Just a mont ago, Matthew Saxon had made a decision.
He pondered for a few seconds, no longer hesitating, then reached his finger to the corner of her eye to wipe away the tear stains: "I have to go to the company this afternoon, you’ll co with ."
"Anyway, you’ll be bored staying at ho, so from now on, you’ll co to work with ."
"Co to work with you?"
"Yes."
"But... but I can’t do anything, I wouldn’t be able to help you with anything." She was a bit confused; one mont she was complaining, and the next it seed like all the complaints were tossed aside, with her attention focused on the new topic.
Matthew Saxon smiled, "You don’t need to do anything."
"Nothing at all?"
"Yes."
"Wouldn’t that be boring? Besides, if I’m there, won’t it affect your work?"
"You do your thing, I’ll do mine, how would that affect ?" Matthew Saxon pinched her nose, "Of course, if you find it really boring and want to do sothing, I can arrange so light tasks for you."
This suggestion from Matthew Saxon intrigued Scarlett Yates.
For the ti being, she wouldn’t be working at the hospital and was in a state of idleness.
Although every day she was eating well, drinking well, and sleeping well, living a leisurely life that everyone envied, as a university graduate who had just stepped out of school, full of hopes and fantasies for life in society, she still preferred life to be a bit more fulfilling.
A too leisurely life would be fine for three or five days, but day after day, it just beca boring.
If she could follow Matthew Saxon to the company and find sothing to do, it wouldn’t be bad.
At least, it could relieve her boredom.
Most importantly, she wouldn’t have to face Ian Douglas alone anymore.
If she commuted with Matthew Saxon, it ant they would be together almost twenty-four hours a day, and with Matthew there, she wouldn’t have to worry about Ian Douglas making things difficult for her.
However, with Matthew Saxon’s suggestion, Scarlett Yates also interpreted another layer of aning.
Even though he suggested they could move out, he still hoped she would continue living with the Saxon Family, right?
After thinking for a mont, she had made up her mind, nodded, and said earnestly, "Why not let be your secretary? I can make coffee and run errands for you. I can also print docunts and do translations that aren’t too complicated. You can settle the salary daily."
Matthew Saxon chuckled, raising an eyebrow in slight surprise, "You can translate too?"
"Of course, I can. One of my courses was foreign languages. After all, I was even a scholarship recipient during my school years. Why are you so surprised?" She said proudly, talking about her scholarship.
Matthew Saxon certainly knew about her academic excellence and annual scholarship awards during her school years.
He had learned about it long ago from Rosie Wood at Henry Dales’s birthday party.
