If only he could shrink her down and keep her in his pocket, it would be perfect. Then he could carry her with him everywhere and wouldn’t have to worry about her being bullied.
Scarlett bit her lip tighter, "Your grandfather is determined to make things difficult for . Even if I admit my mistakes, he still might not let off."
"Matthew Saxon, don’t you understand? He’s dissatisfied with ; he thinks I’m not good enough for you. When soone dislikes you, everything you do is wrong, even breathing." Scarlett’s raspy voice held a hint of despondence.
In any case, a marriage not blessed by elders does carry a bit of regret.
For Matthew Saxon, these weren’t problems at all.
He comforted her, saying, "It’s who will live with you in the future. No matter how many objections he has, it doesn’t matter."
"But he’s your grandfather, after all." Scarlett sighed softly and tugged at her lips, "If he tells you that he’ll sever ties with you if you insist on marrying , what would you do?"
Without a second thought, Matthew Saxon replied, "Then so be it."
"What? You..." Scarlett was montarily stunned, her eyes widened in surprise.
He said it without the slightest hesitation, truly catching her off guard.
Scarlett hasn’t spent much ti with the Douglas Family, and although Matthew Saxon and Ian Douglas often engage in verbal battles, she could still see that their grandfather-grandson relationship is actually very good.
Seeing her stunned expression, Matthew Saxon chuckled softly and pinched her nose, "Silly, do you really think over sothing like this, he’d sever relations with ? If that were the case, from childhood to now, we don’t know how many tis we’ve severed ties. Anyone can say threatening words; whether they follow through is the real test."
"At most, he’d be angry for a while. If it lasts long, maybe six months to a year; if short, just a few months."

After saying this, Matthew Saxon got up and fetched her hat and scarf, and as if taking care of a child, he helped her put them on one by one.
"How do you feel now? If you’re still unwell, we can go tomorrow instead." Scarlett’s face was still a bit pale, but her spirits were much better. Earlier, Matthew Saxon was eager to get the marriage certificate; now, seeing her about to head out, he started worrying about her health.
"I’m fine, I’ve already decided, let’s go today."

After saying this, he bent down, intending to carry her, and Scarlett looked at his extended arm, shaking her head, "I can walk on my own."
Matthew Saxon ignored whether she could actually walk by herself; his arm continued to reach out, wrapping around her waist and lifting her off the ground.
