Thunder roared, and the rain outside was pouring down.

By this ti, most people were already asleep.
The empty corridor was dimly lit, the lights flickering on and off.
The window at the end of the corridor was not tightly closed, large raindrops drifted in from outside, fiercely hitting the glass with a ding-dong sound.
Lightning flashed across the sky, illuminating the black night.
A large mass of thick dark clouds lood at the horizon. At the mont the lightning flashed, it looked like terrifying large hands fiercely tearing at the clouds in the night sky.
Late at night, storm, thunder, an empty corridor, flickering lights, all together created an inexplicably eerie and strange atmosphere.
Scarlett Yates wasn’t completely unafraid.
With head held high and a fierce deanor, she slamd the door behind her, suddenly realizing the silence around her.
Dead silence.
She felt a bit of fear in her heart, but was too proud to show it. After taking a few deep breaths, she pretended nothing was wrong and continued walking forward.
Although most people were asleep at this ti, the hotel’s front desk still had staff on duty.
She rembered there was a 24-hour convenience store next to the hotel.
Her head was still dizzy from the alcohol, and she indeed needed to drink sothing to refresh herself.
She took the elevator to the first floor.
The lobby was brightly lit, as bright as daylight, and the two staff mbers at the front desk were resting their heads on the table.
With so other people around, Scarlett Yates felt less afraid.
She turned and headed towards the 24-hour convenience store.
She thought at this ti, besides the staff, there wouldn’t be anyone else in the store, but as soon as she walked in, she saw a familiar figure.
Scarlett Yates almost turned around to leave.
But as she hesitated, the shop assistant smiled and greeted her, "Miss, may I help you with sothing?"
The shop assistant’s voice wasn’t loud.
But in the extrely quiet night, it was hard not to be noticed.
The familiar white figure by the window slowly turned his head.
Handso eyes and refined eyebrows, warm deanor, like a luminous jade.
"Scarlett." A hint of a delighted smile spread across the person’s face, their eyes brighter than the stars happily gazing at her.
Having been noticed, Scarlett Yates found it inconvenient to leave now.
She stood by the glass door, forced a smile, and gently called out, "Senior."
Henry Dales got up and walked towards her, "At this ti, why are you..."
He frowned slightly, the words he wanted to say reached his lips, but he swallowed them back.
"Senior, why are you here?" There was only one hotel on the island, Scarlett Yates had actually guessed she and Henry Dales might be staying at the sa hotel.
