Her worries were unnecessary; his heart was already with her, and there wasn’t room for another woman.

Scarlett reflected on his words in silence and then responded, "I’ll pay attention in the future."
With this attitude, Matthew Saxon was sowhat satisfied and nodded.
"And Scarlett, don’t easily speak of divorce," his expression suddenly changed, becoming extrely serious, "We’ll be together forever, do you understand?"
Scarlett was taken aback, looking into his deep, dark eyes, finding Matthew Saxon incredibly charming when he was serious. She stared at him for a few seconds before softly answering, "Yes, I understand."

She silently recited this in her heart, feeling warmth spread across her chest.
Holding hands and growing old together—that’s the love she longed for.

More than ten minutes later, the doctor arrived.
Of course, by the ti the doctor arrived, Scarlett Yates had already put on her clothes, when Matthew Saxon had turned his back.
In the midst of it all, soone was being naughty, trying to sneak a look, but when caught by Scarlett Yates, he was miserably chased out of the room.
The doctor thoroughly examined her wounds, confirming several tis that Scarlett Yates had no issues before Matthew Saxon let him leave.
After they ate, soaked in the bath, and checked the wounds, it was getting late, and it seed ti to sleep.
When Scarlett Yates saw Matthew Saxon lift a corner of the blanket, her heart fluttered along with his movent.
When Matthew Saxon laid down beside her and reached out to turn off the light, Scarlett Yates’ heart trembled even more.
The room plunged into darkness.
The curtains were drawn, blocking out any light.
At this mont, it was truly pitch black.
Yet, even so, Scarlett Yates could feel Matthew Saxon watching her; his presence was so strong, it was impossible to ignore.
The blanket, the pillow, even the air she breathed was filled with his scent.
She was surrounded by his presence and gaze, like prey locked in his sights, unable to escape from his grasp no matter where she hid.
