Chapter 191: Sealing the Corpse God, the Ghost King Escapes

At the instant the Zhuxian Sword manifested in the world, Lu Xueqi also sensed it.

After blasting the Corpse God—who clung like an inescapable plaster—backward, she turned her head toward the Back Mountain.

There, above the mountain, a pillar of white light shot straight into the heavens, and a terrifying power spread out in an instant.

Even from the Front Mountain, Lu Xueqi clearly perceived that force.

After sensing it carefully, she discovered that although this power was strong, it was only equivalent to the strength of the Nascent Soul Realm.

Seeing this, Lu Xueqi let out a slight breath of relief.

Previously, she had harbored apprehension toward the Zhuxian Sword. Now, seeing that under Dao Xuan’s control it could only unleash power surpassing a Major Realm by one level, the worry in her heart imdiately lessened.

She already understood that in this world, there were few beings capable of threatening her, and the Zhuxian Sword was not among them.

At this mont, Dao Xuan, wielding the Zhuxian Sword, felt the terrifying power within the blade. Killing intent surged in his heart as he swore to slay the Ghost King here.

anwhile, the Ghost King sensed the terrifying might of the Zhuxian Sword, and his expression changed drastically.

He knew well that the power of the Zhuxian Sword was boundless and terrifying. Even at his peak condition, he would likely have struggled to contend with it—let alone now, when he was gravely injured.

Dao Xuan gave the Ghost King no ti to think. He suddenly poured the Spiritual Energy of Heaven and Earth within his body into the Zhuxian Sword.

In an instant, the Zhuxian Sword shone brilliantly. Terrifying sword qi poured down like a heavenly river, slashing toward the Ghost King.

The Ghost King’s expression changed abruptly. With a thought, the already twisted Fulong Cauldron instantly blocked before him.

“Boom! Boom! Boom!”

Explosions rang out incessantly as the Zhuxian Sword’s sword qi struck the Fulong Cauldron, producing ear-piercing sounds.

The Ghost King’s face turned extrely unsightly. Though he had used the Fulong Cauldron to block the attack, the Zhuxian Sword’s terrifying baleful aura invaded at the mont of contact, inflicting severe damage upon his true body.

His eyes widened as he stared at the Zhuxian Sword in Dao Xuan’s hand and exclaid, “How can there be such terrifying baleful aura within this Zhuxian Sword?” Yet no one responded.

Seeing that the Ghost King had blocked the attack, Dao Xuan imdiately intensified his assault. Even more sword qi ca crashing down.

The Ghost King knew that if this continued, he would undoubtedly die. Without hesitation, he poured his power into the Fulong Cauldron.

A massive Blood-Colored Light Mass erged above the cauldron, eting the incoming sword qi like a blazing sun.

After launching the attack, he himself instantly carried the Fulong Cauldron and transford into a streak of light, fleeing down the mountain.

He understood that once the Zhuxian Sword had appeared, he had no chance of victory. Remaining on Qingyun Mountain ant certain death.

The instant the Ghost King fled, the two terrifying attacks collided with a thunderous crash.

The Blood-Colored Light Mass shattered directly beneath the sharp edge of the Zhuxian Sword.

Standing atop the Water Qilin, Dao Xuan saw this and a flash of satisfaction crossed his eyes.

Recalling how he had previously been beaten by the Ghost King without the slightest ability to retaliate, the anger in his heart grew even stronger.

He drove the Zhuxian Sword and slashed once more. The sword transford into a gigantic pillar of light connecting heaven and earth, chasing after the Ghost King.

Sensing the terrifying pressure behind him, the Ghost King was filled with shock and horror. He knew that if he were struck directly by this dreadful attack, he would likely perish here today.

He hurriedly flashed into the Fulong Cauldron to take refuge.

“Rumble!”

“Dong!”

A series of thunderous explosions erupted. The Fulong Cauldron was blasted straight into the ground by the terrifying sword radiance, and a massive fissure appeared in the Back Mountain of the Qingyun Sect.

The commotion at the Back Mountain was noticed by Jade Yangzi and Lady Sanmiao. Upon seeing that terrifying sword radiance, both of their expressions changed drastically. They exchanged a glance and imdiately fled down the mountain.

Wan Jianyi and Tian Buyi had wanted to stop them, but the opponents were powerful and their thods strange. They were utterly incapable, and could only watch helplessly as the two escaped.

After slashing out that strike, Dao Xuan suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood.

Previously, he had been severely injured by Cang Song’s sneak attack and had then fought successive battles against the Demonic Sect without any ti to recuperate.

Now, forcibly using the Zhuxian Sword, his injuries could no longer be suppressed. The terrifying baleful aura invaded his body, disturbing his Nascent Soul and causing unbearable pain. He soon fell unconscious.

After Dao Xuan fainted, the Zhuxian Sword automatically flew back to Taiji Cave and stood quietly upon the stone platform, as if waiting for its true master to arrive.

On the Front Mountain, Lu Xueqi had by now severely injured the Corpse God.

The Corpse God’s entire body was charred black. Its once terrifying aura had weakened to the extre, and in its previously emotionless eyes, a trace of fear toward Lu Xueqi even appeared.

After being blasted away once more, the Corpse God directly transford into a black light mass and fled toward the mountain base.

But Lu Xueqi had no intention of letting this enormously dangerous Corpse God escape. Watching the light mass it had beco, she suddenly pointed a finger. At her fingertip, a pitch-black light mass containing the Law of Death instantly appeared.

The mont the light mass appeared, she flicked her finger. It turned into a streak of light and shot toward the Corpse God. However, the result was beyond her expectations.

The strike did not inflict a fatal injury upon the Corpse God at the instant of impact.

Lu Xueqi quickly realized that the Corpse God was originally a dead entity that had birthed spiritual intelligence. The vitality within its body differed from that of ordinary cultivators; thus, the Light of Death had little effect.

As she pondered this, the Corpse God had already sunk into the earth, fleeing deep underground.

Lu Xueqi’s expression changed abruptly. She tore open a spatial rift and pursued.

But when she arrived, the Corpse God had already dived deep into the earth. She was unfamiliar with earth-escape techniques and could not continue the chase.

Unwilling to accept this, Lu Xueqi flicked her finger once more. Countless strands of golden lightning condensed and shot deep into the earth as streaks of light.

Sensing the Lightning Power, the Corpse God turned to resist. Yet the golden light masses transford into chains, ignoring its defenses and invading its body.

The instant these chains entered the Corpse God’s body, its aura weakened sharply in a short ti, and its spiritual consciousness fell into slumber.

It turned out that what Lu Xueqi had unleashed at the end was not an attack technique, but a sealing technique.

Watching the Corpse God sink into the depths of the earth, Lu Xueqi knew she could not continue pursuing. To prevent it from bringing calamity upon the world in the future, she chose to seal it.

After the Corpse God’s aura and spiritual consciousness had fallen into slumber, Lu Xueqi instantly lost track of its location.

She searched the area but found nothing.

With no other choice, her figure flashed, and she quickly departed, rushing toward the Back Mountain of Qingyun Mountain.

Earlier, Dao Xuan had used the Zhuxian Sword. She did not know whether he had successfully eliminated the Ghost King, and her heart was filled with worry.

At this mont, deep beneath the earth of Qingyun Mountain’s Back Mountain, a gigantic cauldron was slowly descending further into the mountain’s interior.

The person within the cauldron was none other than the Ghost King, hiding inside the Fulong Cauldron.

Earlier, the Fulong Cauldron had suffered a direct strike from the Zhuxian Sword and was severely damaged.

Even though he had hidden inside it, the Ghost King’s physical body had still been reduced to dust by that terrifying force.

Although he had regenerated through a secret technique, his aura was now weakened to the extre.

In such a frail state, the Ghost King dared not delay in the slightest and imdiately decided to hide deep beneath the mountain.

He did not dare even consider controlling the Fulong Cauldron to fly through the sky.

After all, all the Righteous Path mbers were gathered on Qingyun Mountain, and there was also a powerful enemy like Lu Xueqi overseeing the situation.

If he chose to flee openly from the mountain, he might very well collide with the Righteous Path mbers and lose his life.

While continuously hiding, the Fulong Cauldron suddenly paused, as if sensing sothing.

Imdiately afterward, it abruptly changed direction and sped toward an unknown place.

Seeing this, the Ghost King was filled with doubt. But in his current weakened state, as long as he could escape Qingyun Mountain, he had no energy to think further.

Not long after, deep underground, the Fulong Cauldron discovered the Corpse God that had been sealed by Lu Xueqi.

Through the sensing power of the Fulong Cauldron, the Ghost King clearly saw the situation outside.

The mont he saw the Corpse God, his face was full of shock. “This is that Corpse God. How is it here? And its aura now seems so weak, as if it has been sealed by sothing?”

After a brief mont of contemplation, an idea imdiately ford in his heart: this Corpse God had most likely been heavily injured during its battle with Lu Xueqi on Qingyun Mountain and was subsequently sealed here by her.

Thinking of this, the Ghost King could not help but sigh inwardly.

He had not expected that even a being as powerful as the Corpse God could gain no advantage in Lu Xueqi’s hands. His wariness toward her deepened once again.

Just as the Ghost King was thinking, the Fulong Cauldron suddenly erupted with a terrifying suction force, directly drawing the Corpse God into the cauldron.

Imdiately afterward, the Fulong Cauldron transford into a streak of light and, carrying both the Corpse God and the Ghost King, rapidly fled from this place.
