There was more and more panic that appeared in the eyes of the dragonkin as he tried to break free of the bindings of the slis.
But the more that he struggled, the more that he found that he couldn't do anything.
In fact, it even seed like he was becoming more and more trapped by the slis as he continued to struggle.
At the sa ti, the heat that was coming from within him was just too much for him. There was even smoke that was starting to co out of the mouth of the dragonkin from this heat.
That was why he even reached the point where he took out his claws and started shredding at the sli with those claws. Only no matter how he tried, he just wasn't able to break through the mbrane of the sli.
It was as if the sli mbrane would absorb any kind of impact that hit it.
It was as if the sli was completely invincible.
There was a look of shock and regret that was in the dragonkin's eyes when his skin started to turn black. At this point, the dragonkin could do nothing at all as he was being burned from the inside out.
That was because the power that this sli had was the ability to insulate heat.
It was a level of insulation that far surpassed anything else. It was a level of insulation that basically turned the heat from dragonkin into one that could cook the dragonkin.
Basically, the sli was like the wrap around the potato that kept the heat insulted that cooked it.
When the dragonkin was turned into charcoal, that was when the slis finally let go of the dragonkin. And then when the charcoal that the dragonkin turned into fell into the lava, it was burnt away to nothingness.
All of this only took a few minutes, so those that didn't see it had no idea what had happened.
Though in the first place, the subordinates of the dragonkin faced the sa problem as the dragonkin.
All of them were related to dragons in so way and all of them produced internal heat.
So in the end, all of them were turned to charcoal.
"What's going on? Why is there no response from the scout team?"
This was the reaction that ca from the headquarters of the five dungeon cores when they found that the scouts went completely silent. But no matter how they tried searching, they couldn't find a single trace of the team that the dragonkin was supposed to be leading to scout the area.
It was as if they had disappeared from the face of this battlefield.
It wasn't that they didn't know that this team was dead, it was just that they wanted to find where they died so they could see if there were any clues. They wanted to see if it was possible to find any information about the enemy.
But it really seed like they completely disappeared.
"How is your dragonkin that weak? Aren't you afraid of looking bad in front of Big Sister Haku?" The one dungeon core that provided the dragonkin was naturally being berated by the other dungeon cores.
Of course, it took this to heart since it was related to Haku.
As mbers of the Haku fanclub, they took anything that was related to Haku very seriously. And it was only natural that they didn't want to embarrass themselves in front of her.
In the end, they had no choice but to accept this.
"For now, let's just send out our forces together so they can't play any tricks like this. There's no way that he will be able to match the hero units that we have, so we'll be able to easily take them down as long as we send our powerful units in."
That was the conclusion that the dungeon cores ca to.
They felt that they were being too cautious, which was why Lin Fan was able to take advantage and play so tricks.
The only reason that they could feel this confident was all because they knew that Lin Fan and Rokuko were new to the dungeon core world. They didn't have the sa resources, so they wouldn't have any powerful hero units to fight back.
So as long as their hero units could go in, it would be over in an instant.
"We have to make up for the poor showing that we've put on so far." The dungeon cores said at the sa ti with determined looks on their faces.
But in the end…
"How did they all die?"
That was the only thing that they could say when they saw that the hero units that they sent out were all wiped out.
There wasn't a single one of them that had expected this.

Going back a few minutes…
"We have to make ourselves useful for our masters!"
The rman that was leading the monsters had a determined look on his face.
After seeing the failure of the dragonkin, he knew that he couldn't allow the sa thing to happen to him. That was why the rman was filled with determination to take down the enemy even if it was the last thing that he did.
Though in reality, he was full of confidence that he would be able to take care of the enemy easily.
He had already heard the things that his master had said, so he knew that the enemy wouldn't be that hard to deal with. The only reason that the enemy was still there was because they were good at hiding.
So the monsters that he chose to follow him were all monsters that were good at tracking. At the sa ti, the route that this rman chose to take was one that was very advantageous for him and the monsters he led.
All of them were water attributed monsters, so they would be able to easily make their way through this lake.
It was the perfect battlefield for them.
"Have you found anything yet?" The rman asked the other monsters, but he was disappointed to find that all of them were shaking their heads. It seed that even with their increased senses in the water, they still weren't able to find the enemy.
But that would just make the rman look bad…
"Find them or else." The rman said in a fierce voice.
The monsters quickly nodded in agreent to this as they spread out to follow his orders.
It was just that none of them were able to find a single trace of the enemy. It was as if there weren't any enemies here at all.
"So they're not in the water?" The rman muttered to himself, but he didn't seem all that surprised. The only reason that he was surprised was that there wasn't a single trace of the enemy here.
Even if the enemy didn't hide in the water, there should have been a trace since this lake was connected to every part of this battlefield. Even if one was being cautious, it wasn't as if they could completely prevent sothing of theirs from falling into sothing connected to the lake.
It took a certain level of skill to do sothing like this.
"Just how did they do this?" The rman couldn't help saying with a trace of admiration in his voice.
Even if they were enemies, the rman could recognize the skill that the enemy possessed.
But even if the enemy was skilled, that didn't an that the rman was going to lose himself in the face of that. Since the enemy was skilled, that just ant that they would have to co up with another strategy.
"Gather around and let's head back onto land. We'll try sothing else."
That was what the rman said to the monsters, but not all of them gathered.
When the rman saw that there were so monsters missing, he narrowed his eyes and asked, "What's going on? Where are the rest of you?"
The monsters looked at each other with confused looks since they had all been working on their own. But there were a few that pointed in a direction and said, "I saw them going in that direction earlier, but they never ca back."
The rman knitted his brows when he heard this before waving his hands at the others to say, "Co, let's see why they haven't co back yet."
The rman led the monsters in the direction that they pointed out for him, but when he saw the monsters just floating there…
"What do you think you're doing? Didn't you hear calling for you?" The rman said in an angry voice."
However, it didn't seem like any of the monsters reacted to his voice.
With the way that they remained still, it was even as if they were completely ignoring him which made the rman knit his brows even more.
He waved his hand at the monsters behind him as he said, "Bring them over here now and I'll personally teach them a lesson."
The monsters nodded before swimming over to bring these idle monsters back.
It was just that before they could reach them, they slowed down and then stopped moving when they reached where they were. They just froze there like the monsters from before.
When the rman saw this, he knew that there was sothing wrong.
"Leave."
That was all that he got to say before he found that his vision was blurring.
There was sothing wrong with the water around them!
