Once they entered the ruins, Lin Fan’s group didn’t see anyone else.
It seed that everyone had been split up by whatever was governing these ruins.
However, it didn’t seem like Lin Fan’s group had been split up by it which confused Lin Fan.
"The cloaks are what keeps us together. You wouldn’t think that they would just give us these cloaks to hide our identities, right?" Ye Qing Huan explained when she saw the confused look on his face.
Lin Fan couldn’t help revealing a strange smile, but he did nod to show that he understood.
These cloaks were already considered powerful spiritual items just based on the abilities that they already had, but there were so other things that were put in these cloaks as well.
It seed that it made sense that they were given to them as part of this trip into these ruins.
Since they were here, they shouldn’t be wasting their ti standing around.
Lin Fan shook off his confusion and started looking around the area.
However, it didn’t seem like there was anything special about this place since it was nothing more than a normal forest. It seed that the place that they had been put into was a beginner area with how there was nothing here.
Or at least that was what it would have seed like to the naked eye.
To Lin Fan’s eyes, he could see that there was much more than one thought.
Ye Qing Huan and Mu Bao Bao had done the sa thing as Lin Fan, but it didn’t seem like either of them noticed that there was anything special about this place.
After they finished looking around, Ye Qing Huan just simply said, "Let’s go and see if we can find anything interesting. There are so things that I was told to get here, but we’ll have to travel a bit before we can get there."
"Are we leaving already? Aren’t we going to collect the things around us?" Lin Fan asked in a confused voice when he heard this.
He expected Mu Bao Bao to not find anything since it was her first ti here and she didn’t know anything about this place. But that shouldn’t be the case with Ye Qing Huan.
It might be her first ti here, but she should have received plenty of information about this place from the Heavenly Demon Sect. Information that she had been keeping from Lin Fan and Mu Bao Bao judging by what she said, but Lin Fan chose not to dive into that right now.
"What do you an? There’s nothing here." Ye Qing Huan said in a confused voice.
A strange look appeared on Lin Fan’s face when he heard this.
He had to look carefully at Ye Qing Huan to make sure that she was being serious about this. But in the end, he could tell that she was genuinely confused about what he was talking about.
As such, Lin Fan didn’t answer with words and instead answered with action.
He went over to one of the trees that was on the side and suddenly tapped on the bark.
But since he did it in a strange way, Ye Qing Huan and Mu Bao Bao couldn’t help looking at Lin Fan with confused and doubtful looks until they saw what was happening.
There was a liquid that ca from the tree after Lin Fan tapped it a few tis.
Even after seeing this liquid co out, they were still confused as to what was happening.
That was until there was a bug that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
This bug seed to appear out of thin air, but the mont that it appeared...
Lin Fan shook his head at Ye Qing Huan when she was about to say sothing to stop her from speaking. After stopping her, he turned to look at the bug that appeared and got so of the sap on his finger before reaching that finger out towards that bug.
The bug seed to hesitate for a bit, but eventually it landed on Lin Fan’s finger and started licking the sap off his finger.
After licking it for a bit, the bug seed satisfied and just laid there on Lin Fan’s finger.
Only then did Lin Fan bring the bug back to where Ye Qing Huan and Mu Bao Bao were.
Mu Bao just looked at the bug with an interested look since she didn’t actually know what this bug was. The only thing that she knew was that this bug was special since it had appeared out of thin air like this.
It was different for Ye Qing Huan who had more knowledge than Mu Bao Bao.
With this knowledge, she was able to tell what kind of bug this was and that was why she was so shocked to see it.
After all, this was a rare kind of bug that others wouldn’t be able to find with normal thods.
It was all because of what kind of bug it was.
This bug’s na was known as the Void Traversing Bug and it was known for its ability to hide in the void with its spatial laws. As such, it would be close to impossible to find it unless it revealed itself on its own.
It was just that there were very few people that could make the Void Traversing Bug reveal itself like this.
"How did you do it?" Ye Qing Huan couldn’t help asking in a stunned voice.
Lin Fan tapped the tree again before saying, "Even if this tree looks like the ones that are around here, this is actually a Sweet Fragrance Tree."
"Sweet Fragrance Tree?" Ye Qing Huan asked in the sa confused voice.
Lin Fan just gave a simple nod before saying, "The Sweet Fragrance Tree isn’t that special of a tree, but it does have one thing that is special about it." Pointing at the sap that ca out of the tree, he continued, "The sap has a special fragrance that’s very attractive to bug monsters like this Void Traversing Bug. That’s why it was drawn out."
"How did you know?" Ye Qing Huan looked at Lin Fan with a strange look after hearing his explanation.
Lin Fan didn’t say anything in response as he looked right back at her.
There was this mont of silence that lingered in the air as the two of them just looked at each other like this.
But in the end, Ye Qing Huan chose to not say anything about this.
As for the reason why Lin Fan was doing all of this, it was to establish himself as soone that had this kind of knowledge. Though in reality, it wasn’t his knowledge that he was pulling from.
This was knowledge that ca from his Appraisal Eyes.
If it was any other place, he wouldn’t show that he had this kind of ability. However, he had already shown this ability to Ye Qing Huan and Mu Bao Bao before.
Even if he didn’t directly tell them about the Appraisal Eyes, they could have already guessed that he had sothing like this based on how he acted before.
As for why he was choosing to expose it now, it was all because of where they were.
These ruins were a place where his secrets wouldn’t be shared with others and he knew that the two of them wouldn’t expose him. Using this ability would an that they would gain far more than just a few simple things.
It was best to rob this place blind while they could since there were things here that even the Five Great Sects wanted.
That was why Lin Fan was planning on leading with these Appraisal Eyes.
After a long silence, Ye Qing Huan finally asked, "What else is there around here?"
It was clear that she had accepted that he knew what he was talking about and that he had information that she didn’t. As such, she wanted to see just how much he would be able to find.
After putting the Void Traversing Bug into his Minor World, Lin Fan turned and started walking towards one of the trees.
Once he reached the base of this tree, he started digging at the roots.
In no ti at all, there was sothing that was revealed at the roots of the tree.
This was a black thing that seed to be so kind of lump, but it was anything but that.
It was a mushroom, a truffle, but it wasn’t just any kind of truffle.
The mont that it appeared, there was this fluctuation that filled the air that made Ye Qing Huan and Mu Bao Bao imdiately knit their brows. Though once again, Ye Qing Huan had more of a reaction than Mu Bao Bao since she recognized this truffle as well.
But instead of saying anything, she turned to look around as if she was waiting for sothing.
"Thump, thump."
As if on cue, there was this noise that ca from around them and with the way that it rang out, it was as if there was sothing that was approaching them.
In no ti at all, there was this large boar that suddenly appeared in between the trees.
Lin Fan went forward first and used a single hand to stop the charge of the boar before grabbing its snout. Lifting the boar up by its snout, he slamd it down into the ground and knocked it out.
With a smile, Ye Qing Huan asked again, "What else do you see?"
At this point, she was just treating Lin Fan as a kind of walking encyclopedia.
