Once they agreed to work together, they started heading towards the first thing that they could see in the distance.
This was a building that was placed right at the entrance of this place.
While they didn’t know what this building was for, they could sense the powerful mana fluctuations that were coming from it.
As such, they knew that this place was no doubt one that held quite a few treasures.
But the groups from the six factions were disappointed when they arrived at this building.
There wasn’t a single thing that was outside of this building and even when they looked in through the windows, they could see that there wasn’t anything special about this building.
In fact, it looked like it was completely empty.
The only thing that was inside of the building was this one mat that was in the center of the room.
They didn’t know what to say when they saw all of this, but they could tell that there were powerful mana fluctuations that were coming from the building. So they knew that there was sothing special that was inside of this place, even if they couldn’t see what it was.
After thinking about it, they took defensive positions before having one person open the door just in case.
While it would an being set as the bait if they went in first, that person was also getting sothing for going in first. They would be the one that would have first pick from the things that were inside of this place for going in first.
When they opened the door, they were fully prepared for sothing to happen.
But the only thing that happened made their chin drop in shock.
"What is with this rich mana?"
Though this person was a knight, he was still able to benefit from being hit in the face with this mana. The mont that the mana surrounded him, he could feel his powers growing.
Just taking a single breath brought him closer to breaking through to the next level.
If he could train himself in this place for a bit longer, then he might even be able to break through right here and now.
However, that person cald himself down and started looking around the room.
He was disappointed when he saw that there wasn’t anything here other than the mat.
He had been hoping that there was sothing else in this room, but there wasn’t a single trace of anything else here. It was just that mat and the rich mana that filled the air.
"Then it has to be the mat, right?" The knight said to himself before moving forward to claim the mat for himself.
It was just that after picking up the mat, he found that there was nothing special about it as well. It seed that this was nothing more than a simple cushion for one to sit down on the ground with.
Seeing that there was nothing that happened, the others started approaching the building as well.
The mont that they ca in, they were shocked by the sa thing as the knight that went first. They all couldn’t believe that there was such a rich concentration of mana in the air.
The ones that benefited the most from this were the magicians.
The mont that they stepped into this mana rich environnt, they could feel their own mana going crazy. They could feel the bodies demanding more as they sucked in the mana that was in the air.
While knights could also absorb mana to beco stronger, the ones that really benefited the most when it ca to mana rich environnts were magicians.
They were able to absorb mana far more efficiently since they were more skilled in controlling it.
After a mont of silence where everyone was stunned by the mana concentration in the air, they went over to where the knight was. When they ca over, the first thing that they looked at was the mat that was in his hands.
Once they ca closer, they could tell that this mat was nothing more than a normal mat just like the knight had done.
There wasn’t anything special about it.
The other knights were confused, but the magicians started looking around this building.
After a while, they finally said, "This is a training area for the cultivator that this place belonged to."
The knights looked at the magicians with confused looks when they heard this.
The magicians pointed out a few spots in the building before saying, "These places have special traces of mana in them. It’s clear that there’s so kind of array that’s set up here that gathers mana inside of this building."
"Right, I’ve heard that cultivators absorb mana like us to train themselves, but they do it in a different way. I’ve heard that they gather the mana inside of a special organ that they have that’s called a ’dantian’."
Once they had finished looking around the area, it was as if they had lost interest in this place.
Well, it wasn’t that they had completely lost interest since this was still a place that was filled with mana. It was just that they couldn’t do anything with it and there were no other treasures that they could take away.
There was still far more to this cultivation ruins that they had to explore, so they shouldn’t waste ti just looking at this one building.
The problem was...
Everyone looked at each other as they started hesitating on what to do next.
After all, it didn’t seem like this place was dangerous based on how this one building was.
Since this was a place where the cultivator that these ruins belonged to trained, it should be the place that was the most heavily guarded. But since there weren’t any traps here, it should an that the traps that were in these ruins weren’t functioning.
While they had no idea why that was, it now ant that they had a chance.
But with this chance ca a problem.
Did they want to share these things with the other groups?
No, they definitely didn’t.
After looking at each other, soone finally proposed, "Let’s just make our own way through this."
One mont, they agreed to work together. The next mont, they decided that it was better if they all went off on their own.
For these people from the six factions, they only cared about one thing and one thing only.
They wanted to get as many treasures from this place for themselves as possible.
Once they ca to this decision, they split up into three different groups.
It wasn’t that they were grouping up for protection, it was that these factions were splitting up based on who their greatest enemies were. They didn’t want to let these enemies get anything from this place.
The second prince’s faction went with the south duke’s faction.
The eighth prince’s faction went with the east duke’s faction.
And the first prince’s faction went with the north duke’s faction.
It really was royals against nobles, but that was just how the dynamic worked.
The three princes knew that the dukes wanted to take the country from them and instead of letting the nobles take this country, they would prefer to work together to keep the power among the royals.
But of course, it wasn’t as if they would actually work together.
They still cared about themselves the most.
After splitting up, they headed off in different directions to see what they could find.
"Look at all these different plants, the mana that’s coming from them. None of these plants are normal, all of them are treasures."
"Look at all of these magic items. I have no idea what they can do, but it’s clear that they’re full of mana. There’s no doubt that these are treasures."
"Look at all of these pills. I’ve heard that cultivators use pills to make themselves stronger. With all this mana inside of these pills, these have to be treasures."
There were plenty of things that they discovered, but none of them made a move to take it.
Instead, they all looked at each other with wary looks as if they were afraid that the others would attack.
Since they had split up into three groups, it ant that there were less people to contend with. But there was a reason why these factions had been in a deadlock the entire ti.
At the sa ti, they knew that the mont that they actually took sothing, then it would an that they would be targeted by the others. After all, it wasn’t as if the others would allow them to take anything away from here.
Though if they had actually shared these things, there was more than enough for them to all take a slice of the pie.
It was just that there wasn’t a single mont where they even considered sharing all of these treasures.
After all, their only goal was to bring these treasures back to their factions and make them stronger than the other factions. They naturally wouldn’t allow these treasures to fall into the hands of any other factions.
There was a stalemate that happened in all three places that had been explored.
What they didn’t notice was that soone was watching them the entire ti and had been preparing.
"It seems like they’re all in position now. Let’s activate the traps and get this show started. I can’t wait to watch them kill each other for these treasures." This person said with a smile on his face.
