From inside of the ball of grass, Lin Fan was able to observe what was happening in the area around him.

Even though the animals that had attacked him were running, it seed that not all of them were able to escape. There were those that were caught up in the traps of other things that were hiding behind the scenes.

These were things that Lin Fan hadn’t even experienced yet.

Even though they were all beings that lived in this Forest of Death, it seed that there was only one rule among them.

Survival of the fittest.

So that was why all of these things were killing each other.

Though there was sothing that Lin Fan just couldn’t understand about what was happening here.

"There seems to be plenty of resources for them to share if they wanted, so it isn’t as if there’s a reason that they should be slaughtering each other like this. It really doesn’t seem like there’s a need for this level of excessive slaughter."

After all, there were plenty of resources that could be taken by those that were killing those that were weaker than it. There really was no need for them to kill to get more resources like this.

Yet all of them attacked those that ca close to their range.

Well, except for...

"It seems that so of them are being ignored by the plants and animals that were hiding in waiting? Why is it that those things are being ignored, but the others are being attacked? It doesn’t seem to make any sense..." Lin Fan muttered to himself as he watched everything unfold in front of him.

Eventually, he was able to figure it out.

The aura that was coming from them was stronger than the ones that were avoiding them.

But that wasn’t the only thing that was deterring them.

The other thing that the ones that were being ignored had was the killing intent that ca from them.

This kind of killing intent was sothing that could only be developed by causing the death of many things. So in a forest that was nad after death, it wasn’t that strange for them to have this kind of killing intent.

Once he realized this, Lin Fan also knew why they weren’t avoiding him.

After all, in terms of aura, it wasn’t as if he was weaker than any of them.

He had even been trying to use his aura to pressure the things around him so that they would leave him alone and he wouldn’t have to waste energy dealing with them. But it didn’t seem to work as they attacked him even though they should have known that they were weaker than him.

Even though Lin Fan’s hands weren’t clean, it didn’t an that they were that dirty either.

He wasn’t so kind of mass killer that had slaughtered countless people before, so he had never developed the sa kind of killing intent that these things had developed.

The problem was that unless he did, it didn’t seem like they would leave him alone.

"There are plenty of targets here, so I guess I have no choice..." After he said this, his eyes suddenly beca cold before he continued by saying, "It seems like I have to beco death itself."

As soon as his voice fell, Lin Fan waved his hand and the Clear Water barrier around him transford into blades. The grass that had been around the Clear Water barrier slumped down and seed like it was about to grab him.

But before it could, the blades of Clear Water cut right through them.

The blades of grass just couldn’t do anything against the blades of Clear Water.

It was like hay being harvested by the scythe with how easily the grass fell in front of the blades of Clear Water.

When it was all over, there wasn’t a single blade of grass left.

After cutting them apart, Lin Fan didn’t make his move right away as he narrowed his eyes to look at the creatures that were running away.

Though it wasn’t as if the things that were already around him would give him that ti.

A few seconds later, there were spears that were coming at him. Though when one looked closely, they could see that these weren’t actually spears made of tal.

Rather these were spears that were made of plant matter, though they certainly didn’t look that weak either. With how sharp they were and how dark the sheen it had, it really seed like it was made of tal.

The thing that shot it was a cactus in the distance.

Lin Fan didn’t even bother turning to look at them as a single wave of his hand created black flas that burned it all away. Since it was plant matter, it just couldn’t hold up against these black flas of his.

What Lin Fan was looking at were animals that were running away.

Lin Fan wanted to grind his killing intent, but he wasn’t certain that this was possible with plants. It was hard to argue if plants were even considered living creatures, but it was even harder when it ca to a vague concept like killing intent.

So even if he were to destroy one of these plants, it wasn’t certain that it would help develop his killing intent.

Instead of wasting ti with the plants, he chose to deal with the things that were certain to help him grind out more killing intent. What he targeted were the animals that were running away from him.

Once he picked out his targets, Lin Fan just raised his hand and created several bows made of water that were aid in their direction.

Since he was the one that controlled the Clear Water, there wasn’t actually a need for him to do sothing like this. All he had to do was send out the Clear Water as spears instead of forming bows with them.

But the one thing that he wanted to do was deter those that he didn’t want to hit.

That was why he created these bows as a way for them to understand that they needed to get out of the way.

With these bows as a deterrent, there were many animals that moved as soon as they saw this. The ones that he targeted weren’t able to escape since he was aiming the bows at them.

So even if they tried to get out of the way, the bows just followed them.

Once most of them had gotten out of the way, he fired the arrows at them.

The animals that he targeted understood that the bows were following them, so they gave up on trying to dodge out of the way before the arrows were fired. Instead, they imdiately started dodging the mont that the arrows were fired from the bows.

They thought that since these were normal projectiles, they would be able to get out of the way once the arrow left the bow.

But that wasn’t the case.

These arrows were made of Clear Water, which ant that Lin Fan was able to easily control them with a single thought. So no matter how they ran, they weren’t able to escape the chase of these Clear Water arrows.

In the end, all of the animals that were being targeted were hit by the arrows chasing them.

Once life disappeared from their eyes, Lin Fan could feel sothing strange co over him.

It was as if there was sothing that was flowing into him with the sensation that ca over him. It really felt like he had obtained sothing after he killed all of these creatures.

But seeing how this didn’t stop the other things in this forest from attacking him still, Lin Fan knew that this wasn’t enough.

This Forest of Death really was a cruel place.

To survive in it, one had to slaughter and gain killing intent so that they would be left alone.

But Lin Fan could tell that this wasn’t a natural phenonon. It really felt like there was sothing that was manipulating the things that were in this Forest of Death to attack each other.

This was the conclusion that he reached after he felt that sothing enter his body when he killed those animals.

It really felt like there was sothing foreign that was nourishing the killing intent that he possessed.

It seed that the killing intent in this place wasn’t natural and was being stoked by sothing else. It seed that there was indeed sothing that was encouraging, or even forcing the things that lived in this forest to fight to the death.

While Lin Fan had no idea what this thing was, he could tell that it was strong.

Though he was able to resist, the rest of the things that were in this forest just couldn’t resist at all.

It even changed the plants so that they developed in a way that they were designed to kill things.

Lin Fan continued to slaughter his way through this Forest of Death until finally the things around him seed to stop attacking him. Once this happened, Lin Fan could even feel the killing intent that was coming from himself.

It was much stronger than he expected it to be...

"It seems like I had no choice but to beco death itself in the end." Lin Fan couldn’t help muttering to himself when he felt this thick layer of killing intent that was around himself.
