"This is your own fault for letting your guards down."
As soon as this was said, there was a slash that cut through the air.
This cut through all of the sword energy dragons that had been flying into the sky and stopped them from reaching the Mount Hua Sword Sect disciples on their flying swords.
After this slash ca out, there was a middle aged person that appeared on a flying sword.
This person had been hiding among the group the entire ti with a cloak on to make himself seem like he was just part of the group. However, the power that he demonstrated showed that he was anything but that.
If he was just a normal disciple of the Mount Hua Sword Sect with this kind of power, then he certainly wouldn’t have been a normal disciple.
But for him to have this kind of appearance.
When it cos to cultivators, they would be able to maintain their youthful appearance for a long ti. Even soone that was in their fifties would be able to maintain their youthful appearance as long as they had a high enough level of cultivation.
Which was why those core disciples that were in their fifties were still considered part of the younger generation.
For a cultivator to purposefully show this kind of middle aged appearance, it ant that they really had to be quite old. It would an that they were old enough that even their cultivation level wouldn’t be able to rejuvenate them.
But that usually ant that they were quite the advanced cultivator.
There was no doubt that this was the elder that had been sent to protect those from the Mount Hua Sword Sect.
It was the sa mission that Lin Fan had received.
Before this, there were no others that had co out to face him since the smaller sects didn’t have anyone like this. That was why they were able to beat all those from the smaller sects without a problem.
But now that they had touched one of the four righteous sects...
It was only natural that the guardian would appear.
After he finished clearing out all of the sword energy dragons, the middle aged man raised his sword again instead of lecturing the disciples of the Mount Hua Sword Sect.
It seed like he recognized sothing, which was why he was planning on taking down the ones that had attacked the Mount Hua Sword Sect disciples.
When they saw this, they also ca together and gathered their power before saying together, "Demonic Moon Mirror!"
A similar barrier to the one that appeared before was created, but it wasn’t the sa as that one.
This one was much stronger than the one that had been used before.
It seed like the slash that the middle aged man released was stopped by the barrier that they released, but it didn’t seem like the barrier was about to reflect it like it did with the sword energy dragons.
It seed like there was this equilibrium that was created between the barrier and the sword slash.
But in the end, the barrier was shattered to pieces and the sword slash landed on the ground.
When the sword slash shattered the barrier, it was also shattered to pieces as well.
It wasn’t that the power of the sword slash was completely broken, it was just that it had been turned into much smaller pieces of sword energy. So in a way, that barrier had deflected parts of the sword slash’s power.
Because of this, none of the ones that ford the barrier were actually seriously injured by the sword slash. Though they did suffer minor injuries because of the shockwave that ca from the clashing of the two forces.
"Not bad, it seems like you have so skills." The middle aged man said in an amused voice before suddenly asking, "Which sect are you from?"
The way that he asked this made it very clear what he was thinking since there was only one thing that he could be implying here.
But they didn’t stick around to listen to him as they suddenly started to run.
"Is there any point in doing this?" The middle aged man said with a sigh before coming down as if he was about to chase them.
He could have easily released another slash that would have killed them, but that wasn’t what the middle aged man wanted to do right now. After all, he wanted information from them, not to harm them right now.
So he flew down with his flying sword and prepared to capture them.
Before he could do that...
"You think that I don’t notice you!"
The middle aged man suddenly turned around and sent a slash at the disciples of the Mount Hua Sword Sect.
They were caught off guard and a few of them even panicked seeing this, but they knew that this slash wasn’t aid at them. They realized that there was sothing behind them that this slash was aid at.
"Boom!"
There was sothing that the sword energy collided with, but the middle aged man was surprised to find that his sword energy was shattered to pieces.
Then after that, there was sothing that appeared around the Mount Hua Sword Sect disciples.
They did what they could to break free of the water bubble that appeared around them, but they really couldn’t leave a single scratch on it. No matter how they tried attacking, it didn’t seem like they could even leave a single ripple on the water barrier.
For these disciples of the Mount Hua Sword Sect, seeing this really was a blow to their confidence.
After all, they were from a sword sect that should have boasted the strongest attack power out of all the cultivation sects. For them to be completely helpless against this water barrier was enough to show how strong it was.
Still, it was a real blow to their pride as sword cultivators that they weren’t able to break through it.
"So you’re the one escorting these kids?" The middle aged man said with a smile that didn’t seem to have a trace of fear even though the Mount Hua Sword Sect disciples were caught like this.
Lin Fan also didn’t seem to care as he ca out from behind the Clear Water barrier that he created.
Once he ca out, he raised his hand and pointed it at the middle aged man.
The middle aged man imdiately moved away from the spot that he had been flying in before. When he did, there was a Clear Water bubble that appeared where he had been previously.
"What? Do you really think that it would be that easy?" The middle aged man’s voice was filled with confidence, though his eyes showed that he was regarding Lin Fan with caution.
After all, he could feel the sa pressure that was coming from him.
This middle aged man was in the Soul Building Realm just like Lin Fan.
His cultivation was actually even higher than Lin Fan’s since Lin Fan had only reached the Soul Building Realm not that long ago. This middle aged man was an elder that had been with the Mount Hua Sword Sect for a long ti, so his foundations were far more stable.
But even then, the middle aged man could feel the danger that ca from Lin Fan.
"Why have I never heard of soone like you before?" The middle aged man asked in a curious voice as he dodged all of the water bubbles that Lin Fan created.
He was honestly very confused since he had indeed never heard of this person in the past. But he knew that soone with this level of control over water cultivation techniques should be well known.
Though what he was really trying to do was figure out which of the Five Great Sects Lin Fan ca from.
He thought he knew because of the demonic nature that the barrier those kids used before had, but now he wasn’t as certain. After all, he could feel the pure water elental energy that was coming from Lin Fan.
In the end, he was able to get close to Lin Fan.
He had been slowly moving towards Lin Fan while dodging all of the water bubbles that Lin Fan had been forming.
He could have attacked from afar with his sword energy, but he wasn’t confident in breaking Lin Fan’s defenses from afar. It was only when he was this close that he was confident in breaking through this water barrier.
"Well, it seems like you’re still new to this. In that case, I’ll just have to teach..."
He didn’t get to say anything after that as there was this pressure that suddenly fell on him.
This pressure was too much for him to resist and he started falling down towards the ground.
When that happened, there was this water bubble that appeared under him.
That was when the middle aged man used this montum to shift his attack down to slash at the bubble.
But he found that he wasn’t able to break through at all. When his slash hit the water bubble, it created a single ripple before shattering apart.
"You were just playing to eat the tiger..." The middle aged man looked up at Lin Fan with a shocked look on his face.
Lin Fan looked back at him with a simple smile without saying anything.
Instead, he looked at the outer sect disciples on the ground and said, "Good job playing the bait, you can go clean up now."
The Galaxy Sword Sect disciples gave a gulp when they heard this.
