The tournant progressed smoothly since it was one that was backed by the Heavenly Demon.
Lin Fan had called mbers of both the Wisteria Squad and the True Fire Squad to help out. At the sa ti, there were extra helpers that were sent by both the Fire Fist King and the Poison King to help out.
There were even so helpers that had co from the Iron Fist King, though he did his best to hide his identity.
With all of these people helping out, it was impossible that this tournant wouldn’t progress smoothly.
When it was over, over 99% of those that joined the tournant had been cut.
After all, this was a tournant to decide the best of the best in the Heavenly Demon Sect. It wasn’t a place that normal people would compete in and was a place for only the best.
That was why there was this very aggressive dropout rate in just the first round.
When the second round ca, the only ones that were left really were the elites of the inner sect and the outer sect. Though when it ca to the outer sect, it was only a handful of people that remained.
These were ones that had hidden themselves previously and only showed themselves now because of the nature of the tournant.
Lin Fan took note of all these people for the future.
But right now, the important thing was the opponents that Han Ba would be facing.
Lin Fan had actually rigged the drawings so that Han Ba would receive certain opponents, but the opponents that he received were those that no one would have thought that it had been rigged for him.
The opponents that he received made others think that this had been rigged against Han Ba.
After all, all of his future opponents would be core disciples.
It was guaranteed that the core disciples would move on since the ones that they were facing were inner sect disciples that weren’t their match at all. So that ant that to even reach the finals, Han Ba would have to fight his way through all of these core disciples.
Since there were only so many core disciples in the first place, it ant that there were brackets that didn’t receive a single core disciple.
For those inner sect disciples that didn’t have to face any core disciples at all, they couldn’t help feeling relieved and a bit disappointed.
They were relieved since it ant that they would have a chance to make it to the final round since they didn’t have to face the powerful core disciples.
However, they were also a bit disappointed since not being able to face the powerful core disciples ant that they wouldn’t be able to show off.
There was no chance that they would win this tournant and it was also very unlikely that they would even reach the final round. So in the first place, it was best to go out in a blaze of glory against one of the core disciples.
That way they could make a good impression on the core disciples and they would be able to suck up to them by losing with grace in the end.
It was just like this in the Heavenly Demon Sect where one always tried to increase their own position.
Though there were so that seed like they weren’t happy about this arrangent.
There were so that even argued that this was rigged.
Only there wasn’t a single person that was saying that it was rigged against Han Ba.
All of them were saying that it wasn’t fair for Han Ba and that the core disciples had sohow manipulated the brackets.
Though they had been accused of this, the core disciples were actually all confused about how things turned out. That was because none of them had even made a move to ss with these brackets.
However, it wasn’t as if they weren’t happy with how things had turned out.
This was sothing that went in their favour...or at least for most of them.
The one core disciple that Han Ba was facing first was also in a similar predicant since he would have to face the other core disciples to reach the final round. He had also complained and had started looking into who had set him up like this.
It was just that no one would have expected that it was the organizer that did this.
No one would have thought that Lin Fan was the one that made things this difficult for Han Ba in the first place.
So that was why none of their investigations went anywhere and no one was able to change the bracket.
Though Lin Fan did take note of all those that had spoken up for Han Ba.
They had personalities that Lin Fan liked, so they were the ones that he thought about recruiting in the future.
While everyone was trying to figure out who it was that had rigged this, Lin Fan t with Han Ba to see how he was doing.
Han Ba had gone into closed door cultivation right after the first round to digest all of the new things that he had realized from observing the fight between the inner sect and outer sect disciples.
He had clearly gained sothing as Ye Qing Huan planned, so Lin Fan wanted to see just how much he had changed.
When he t Han Ba again, Lin Fan had to admit that he was impressed by the aura that Han Ba gave off. It was clear that Han Ba had gained quite a bit from this experience.
Though whether that was enough to take down the core disciples or not...
"He’ll be fine." Ye Qing Huan said in a confident voice from behind them.
Lin Fan couldn’t help raising a brow to look at Ye Qing Huan, but it didn’t seem like she was going to back down from what she said.
If she was confident, then that was good enough for him.
So instead of stressing him out by asking more about this, Lin Fan asked with a smile, "Did you see the bracket?"
Ye Qing Huan also revealed a smile when she heard this since she had seen what Lin Fan was talking about.
It was only Han Ba who looked confused since he had been in closed door cultivation the entire ti.
When he saw the bracket that Lin Fan handed him, he couldn’t help revealing a wry smile since this certainly wasn’t what he had been expecting to see. However, it didn’t seem like Han Ba was worried about this either.
Instead of looking worried, it seed that he was excited.
After all, this was what he wanted.
He had beco a battle maniac after everything that happened, so it was only natural that he would want to face the core disciples as soon as he could. He wanted to face them while they were in their best condition so he would be able to gain more from fighting them.
Even if it wasn’t exactly the best thing for the plan.
Still, this was what he wanted and it would make a far bigger impression if he were to do this.
"I’ll be fine. It’s what I want." Han Ba said in a firm voice that had a trace of excitent in it.
Lin Fan didn’t say anything when he saw this.
If Han Ba was confident, then that was all that was needed.
Though there was one more thing that Lin Fan had to say, "There are a few people that are complaining because it’s unfair for you."
Han Ba seed a bit surprised to hear this, but then he asked, "Do you have a list?"
Lin Fan took out a list that he had already prepared since he knew that Han Ba would ask for one.
Han Ba took it without a word and looked it over, but he shook his head in the end to show that he didn’t recognize any of these nas.
Lin Fan didn’t mind as he just asked, "Do you want them?"
Han Ba didn’t say anything again as a look of thought appeared on his face. In the end though, he gave a nod to show that he indeed wanted them.
Lin Fan wasn’t surprised to hear this.
He had already spent enough ti with Han Ba to have a good understanding of his personality. That ant that if they were people that Lin Fan was satisfied with, they would be people that Han Ba would be satisfied with since they had similar personalities.
Because of how much he locked himself away, Han Ba didn’t actually have any followers.
So one of the first things that had to be done was find so followers for Han Ba.
If there was anything that needed to be done for the faction in the future, those followers would be the first ones to head out to take care of them.
It was important to get good followers for Han Ba.
"I’ll make sure that they’re given the best treatnt, but you’ll still have to train them in the future."
There was a trace of worry that appeared in Han Ba’s eyes since this was sothing that he had never done before, but then that disappeared as he accepted it. Even if this was sothing that he had never done before, it didn’t an that he had to be worried.
He would just treat them how he would want to be treated and would do his best to help them.
There was even a part of him that was a bit excited now at the thought of training these people.
