With the roots moving even faster and their injuries getting worse and worse from taking the attacks, the Kunlun Sect elders were put in a worse and worse position.
They were being worn down by the attacks that ca from all around them.
No matter how they tried, they weren’t able to find a single way out of this.

The Kunlun Sect elder did what he could to cut the root, but he was too weak to even accomplish that. And it wasn’t as if he could burn it with the root stuck deep into his shoulder like this.
So in the end, there wasn’t anything that the Kunlun Sect elder could do as he beca weaker and weaker from his spiritual energy being drained away like this. In the end, he was even dragged off by the root in front of the rest of the Kunlun Sect group.
All of the Kunlun Sect group gave a gulp when they saw this happen to one of them.
The leader of the Kunlun Sect group tried one last ti to get help from the Heavenly Demon Sect group, "Do you really think that they’re willing to work with you? If you don’t do anything now, you won’t be able to escape this place either!"
But at this point nothing that the Kunlun Sect group could say could move the Heavenly Demon Sect group. After all, they knew that they wouldn’t be a match for these attackers even if they wanted to do sothing.
So the only thing that they could do was watch as the Kunlun Sect group was being destroyed.
When it was over, there was an aggrieved look on the face of the leader of the Kunlun Sect group. He just couldn’t believe that this was how things ended for them.
"I curse you all." That was the last thing that he said before he was stabbed in the chest by the roots all around him.
With that, the very life essence of that leader of the Kunlun Sect group was even sucked away. When the life essence was sucked away by the roots, it was as if he turned into a mummy with how his corpse tried up.
Even though the Heavenly Demon Sect group had seen many terrifying things in their lifetis, it was hard for them to watch as soone was drained of everything like this.
Even they couldn’t help giving a gulp when they saw this happen.
When it was over, it was only the Heavenly Demon Sect group that was left standing there.
Seeing that they were surrounded by the roots, they naturally couldn’t help feeling a bit worried. It didn’t seem like the roots that were there were going to retreat at all, so it could be said that they were completely surrounded like this.

After the mist lingered in the air for a bit, there were a few figures that suddenly appeared.
Once they saw these figures, the Heavenly Demon Sect group tensed up. However, they didn’t act like they were about to attack since they knew that this wasn’t the kind of eting that this was.
When the figures fully ford, there was a voice that said, "Friends from the Heavenly Demon Sect, I hope that you will not mind this thod of eting each other."
The elders of the Heavenly Demon Sect looked at each other with strange looks at first, but then one of them ca forward as the representative to say, "It’s fine. We were just wondering why you wanted to et with us."
"Like I said, I want to propose a secret alliance with your Heavenly Demon Sect."
The elders of the Heavenly Demon Sect all knitted their brows when they heard this.
None of them had an idea of why these people from the other continent were proposing this, but they knew that it wouldn’t be simple. After all, this group had already done their howork and chose to reach out to the Heavenly Demon Sect specifically.
At the sa ti, there was no doubt in the minds of the Heavenly Demon Sect elders that they were the ones that saved them.
Though they had no idea how they had done such a thing since they didn’t know any thods that could deal with pure elental energy like that.
Well, they did know one thod, but they didn’t bring that thod with them since they didn’t want to put him in danger. The elders were filled with a bit of regret over this decision, but they knew that it was imperative to keep that one person safe since he represented more than just their benefit alone.
"Who are you?" The Heavenly Demon Sect representative slowly asked this question in the end.
"I am Mist Lord and I represent the Laver Empire to propose this secret alliance."
The Heavenly Demon Sect elders were all surprised to hear this, especially when they heard that it was the Laver Empire that was proposing this. The na Laver Empire was one that they had heard before.
Even if they didn’t have much information about this other continent, they still knew about the Laver Empire since it was one of the biggest forces in this place.
They knew that the Laver Empire was just like any of the Five Great Sects.
In fact, they knew that the Laver Empire was almost equal to the Heavenly Demon Sect.
If it was the Laver Empire that was proposing this alliance, then it really was an alliance that they had to consider seriously. But then again, they couldn’t help wondering why the Laver Empire was even proposing this in the first place.
Seeing the way that they acted, the Mist Lord suddenly said, "It’s very simple, it’s because there are idiots that are trying to start a war."
The elders of the Heavenly Demon Sect were completely caught off guard by how blunt he was before the representative asked, "What do you an by that?"
"It’s not just the people of our continent that want to start a war, it’s the sa for the people of your continent."
Deeply knitted brows appeared on the faces of the Heavenly Demon Sect elders when they heard this. They all looked at the Mist Lord with serious looks as if they were trying to confirm if he was being serious or not.
Even though the only thing that they could see were his eyes through the mask that he wore.
Though to begin with, they didn’t really have their doubts.
They knew what kind of people were in the righteous sects and had seen what they had been trying to do to them. It wasn’t hard for them to figure out what the righteous sects had done before this.
However, it wasn’t as if they could make the decision right away.
This was sothing that they had to report back and make a decision together with the higher ups of the Heavenly Demon Sect.
Still, it seed like most of the elders were completely convinced by this explanation.
There were a few that weren’t completely convinced and seed to have so doubts, but for the most part they were convinced. The small doubts that they had were about a few certain details that they couldn’t wrap their heads around.
It didn’t do anything to make them doubt the overall story that they had been told.
So in the end, the Heavenly Demon Sect representative tentatively said, "I’ll have to discuss this with the sect master and the other elders, this isn’t sothing that we can decide on our own."
The Mist Lord nodded to show that he understood, but what he did next made the Heavenly Demon Sect elders a bit nervous.
It was that he waved his hand at one of the people behind him that caused the roots to move.
"What are you doing?" The Heavenly Demon Sect representative asked in a wary voice.
"Well, if you were to show up without any injuries at all, wouldn’t it seem suspicious? We’re just going to help you solve that problem." Though they couldn’t see his face, they knew that there would be a smile on his face since they could see it in his eyes.
The only thing that the Heavenly Demon Sect group could do was reveal wry smiles since they knew that this Mist Lord was right.
But it wasn’t as if they enjoyed being beaten up!
