Though he couldn’t see where the voice ca from, Lin Fan wouldn’t be fooled.
He knew that he had heard this voice and he could even guess where this voice ca from.
It was just that he was also a bit surprised that the owner of the voice could speak.
It didn’t respond when he talked to it previously.
"Then why shouldn’t I do that?" Lin Fan asked back, adding a bit of a provoking tone to his voice as he asked this. Though while he was doing this, he had spread his spiritual sense in the area around him in an attempt to find the one that was speaking.
In the end, it wasn’t necessary as the hind showed itself.
The hind didn’t use its speed to suddenly appear, it just ca out of the forest like it was going on a normal walk.
The strangest part about all of this was the fact that the hind approached Lin Fan without any fear. The only thing that was in the hind’s eyes as it looked at Lin Fan was curiosity.
Lin Fan already knew that the hind didn’t have any hostility towards him from what happened earlier, but he was even more confused by the way that the hind acted now.
After all, there was no reason that the hind should be curious about him.
The hind had never t him before and there was nothing about him that was related to this hind, so there shouldn’t be anything that connected the two of them that would make the hind act this way towards him.
"Well, it would be a pain if you were to do that. I know that you feel the sa way towards them."
Lin Fan certainly didn’t deny this and since the hind was willing to talk, he changed the subject by saying, "So why are you suddenly deciding to talk to ?"
The hind stopped when it heard this before saying, "Well, I didn’t think that I needed to approach you since you didn’t seem to an any harm. But now I can see that you’re here to et and I don’t want any trouble, so I ca to et you."
It was Lin Fan’s turn to be surprised since he didn’t think that the hind would be this direct with him.
As he listened to what the hind said, there was a part of him that couldn’t help thinking one thing.
"It seems a bit young..."
From the reports that he read, he knew that this hind had been here for so ti now. So it wasn’t that it was young physically, it was that this hind was young ntally.
He couldn’t help being even more curious about the origin of the hind, but right now it was more important to ask sothing else.
"So why do you think that I don’t an any harm?"
The hind took a step back when it heard this before saying, "Then you are going to harm ?"
A wry smile appeared on Lin Fan’s face the mont that he heard this.
The way that the hind said this was really like a child that believed whatever it was told really confird its ntal age.
In a way, Lin Fan couldn’t help finding all of this funny.
"Alright, it was a joke." The sa smile appeared on his face when he saw the hind take another step forward again.
But seeing the hind act this way did make Lin Fan ask another question, "Why are you trusting what I say so easily?"
The hind seed to tilt its head as if it was confused by this question, but then it said as if it was a natural thing, "Aren’t you related to the gods as well?"
This ti, it was Lin Fan’s turn to be confused when he heard this.
It certainly wasn’t sothing that Lin Fan had been expecting to hear from the hind, but the hind said it so seriously that it was hard for him to ignore. He certainly never would have thought that the hind would be talking about gods.
Gods were normal on this magic continent, but it wasn’t as if everyone on this continent was connected to a god. Most people on the magic continent would never even have a chance to co in contact with sothing related to the gods.
Yet the hind was saying all of this in such a certain way that made it clear that it had so connection with the gods.
As for Lin Fan’s connection...
"Which god are you talking about?"
"Does it matter? If you’re connected to the gods, it ans that we’re basically family." The way that the hind said this was so innocent that there was a trace of guilt that filled Lin Fan’s heart.
Shaking his head, Lin Fan raised his hand and held his hand there silently for a bit.
The hind looked at him with a confused look at first, but then the hind’s eyes lit up when it saw what Lin Fan took out. Once it saw this, it looked at Lin Fan as if it was asking Lin Fan if it was alright.
Lin Fan just gestured with his hand as if he was telling the hind that he had prepared all of this for him. And in fact, that was the case since he had searched in the Dungeon Master System for this treat for the hind.
Once the hind received permission, it went forward to start eating out of Lin Fan’s hand.
There was even more guilt that filled Lin Fan’s heart when he saw the way that the hind trusted him, but he didn’t say anything as he let the hind eat out of his hand.
Though there was a part of him that was wondering what he should do next.
The main reason that he had co to find the hind was to deal with it and take its power for himself, which was the task that Haku had assigned him.
It wasn’t as if it was a problem if he failed the task, but Lin Fan didn’t just want to leave this hind here.
It wasn’t a matter of him worrying that it would cause trouble since it had already been here for a long ti. What Lin Fan didn’t want to do was waste this opportunity that allowed him to find this hind.
"It’s connected to the gods in so way, so it isn’t as if I can kill it. But if I don’t kill it, how do I turn this into a beneficial situation for myself?"
As he was thinking about this, Lin Fan felt that what he was doing was really like how an adult would lure children with candy...But thinking about that actually gave him an idea.
It wasn’t just this alone that gave him this idea, it was also the prompt that appeared that gave him this idea.
"Affection has increased by 10."
The Love Gauge Taming was sothing that was even able to work on gods, so it wasn’t as if it would have a problem working on sothing that was related to the gods.
In that case, it was best if he tad the hind and brought it back with him.
While he wasn’t certain what other abilities the hind had, the ones that it had already shown were more than enough for him to want to take the hind back with him.
"Do you want so more?"
The hind’s eyes lit up the mont that it heard this before nodding in agreent.
It would have said sothing, but the hind’s mouth was completely filled with the treats that Lin Fan gave it. Even the way that it ate made it look like a child.
In the end, Lin Fan took out more treats with his other hand that he offered the hind which made the hind’s eyes light up. As he offered them, there was another part of him that couldn’t help feeling guilty.
He really felt like an adult that was luring a child with candy.
However, he didn’t stop as he could see the prompt that appeared.
This hind really was quite easy to lure in...
"So why did you suddenly attack them?" Lin Fan asked in an attempt to both distract and get closer to the hind.
In between bites, the hind said, "Well, they invaded my territory. It’s not as if I could just let people enter my territory without doing anything."
This certainly made sense, but Lin Fan didn’t expect the hind to have this kind of pride. It honestly felt a bit strange to see the hind talking with this kind of pride while it was eating the treats from his hand.
Still, he continued to distract the hind with different questions.
All during this ti, he saw the different notifications appear that showed that he was getting closer and closer to his goal. It seed like it would only be a matter of ti before he was able to ta this hind with his Love Gauge Taming Skill.
But before that happened, it seed like there was sothing that changed with the hind.
All of a sudden, it stopped eating from Lin Fan’s hand and slowly looked up at him.
The mont that the hind looked at Lin Fan like this, he knew that there was sothing that changed overall with the mood of the hind.
It was as if it had suddenly changed into an adult...
"So you’re the one that’s trying to lure my little hind away?"
