There were only a few pills that appeared in front of them.
The strong dicinal sll in this place seed to co from the walls itself.
It was as if the scent of the powerful pills that once filled this place were completely ingrained into the walls. As such, they continued to release this strong dicinal sll even though the pills were gone.
Not to ntion that it was unknown how long the Dao Sect had collapsed now.
For the sll to persist after all this ti, it really went to show how powerful those pills were...
But that was to be expected of a sect at the scale of the Dao Sect.
The only question that Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan had now was, "Where are the rest of the pills?"
"You’re disappointed?"
When the old man said this, Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan couldn’t help revealing awkward expressions.
Normally they wouldn’t have shown their emotions that easily, but it was hard when they were this disappointed. At the sa ti, it really didn’t feel like this was the place that they thought this would be.
So it really was hard for them to control their emotions.
"You should know what the reason for the destruction of the Dao Sect was...or rather, you should have an idea of what happened to the Dao Sect in the past."
With the way that the old man said this, it really felt like there was sothing that he wasn’t saying. But of course, neither Lin Fan or Ye Qing Huan forced him to say anymore.
Not to ntion if they were capable of doing so, they knew that there had to be sothing that was restricting him from doing so.
But even then, that was information that they didn’t have before and it was information that ca directly from the source. It seed like there was a large problem with the Dao Sect in the past...
It was sothing that had even created this kind of restriction on a lingering spirit like this old man that prevented him from saying sothing.
Even if they didn’t say anything out loud, there was an idea that ford in their mind.
"Is it related to the upper realm?"
That was the only thing that seed possible at this point since there was nothing else that would have been able to restrict the Dao Sect like this. And if it was related to the upper realm, there was always the possibility that it might happen again.
"You don’t have to worry, it’s not sothing that will happen a second ti."
The old man had a strange look on his face as he said this.
Both Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan imdiately raised one brow to look at the old man as if they were hoping that he would say more.
It was just that the only thing that the old man said was, "We got caught up in a situation that we shouldn’t have any business being a part of."
Beyond that, it seed like he wasn’t going to say anything else, whether he wanted to or not. It seed like there was sothing that was stopping him from going any further than this.
In the end, Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan didn’t pursue this matter.
The two of them knew that there was nothing to gain from pushing this issue, especially since it was related to sothing that they shouldn’t get involved in. The more that they knew, the more danger they would be in.
Not to ntion that it wouldn’t just be the two of them that would be in danger.
If they were to learn the truth of this matter, they would be dragging the Heavenly Demon Sect and everyone else that they cared about into it as well.
Sotis ignorance really was bliss.
Once they made this decision, the topic went back to the items that were still in the room.
The old man didn’t hesitate to start introducing so of the pills that were here.
There were so that Lin Fan could recognize and there were others that Lin Fan could see through with the Appraisal Eyes. But there were those that were unique to the Dao Sect that Lin Fan couldn’t see through that easily.
For those pills, it really was good to have soone that could explain everything to them.
The old man was once the head of this alchemy hall, so he was soone that was worthy of becoming the head of this place. He was soone that possessed knowledge that really was at the peak of his field.
The more that Lin Fan listened to him describing the effects of the pill, the more that he felt he was learning.
Of course, Lin Fan could tell that this old man was doing it deliberately.
While he was explaining about these pills, the old man made sure to slip in so information that he knew would be helpful to Lin Fan’s study of alchemy. With his eyes, he could easily see what level Lin Fan was currently at, so it was easy for him to give him guidance.
It wasn’t enough for him to beco Lin Fan’s master, but it was enough for him to beco a half teacher to Lin Fan.
Though the reason that he was doing this wasn’t because he recognized Lin Fan’s talent, or rather Lin Fan’s gold finger system. It was because he was hoping that Lin Fan would take care of the Holy Spirit Fla that he called Xiao Sheng.
It was clear that this old man really treated this Heaven and Earth Fla as a grandchild rather than just as a tool like other alchemists were.
As ti passed, the old man was actually turning more and more transparent.
It was obvious that he didn’t have much ti left, so he ca to a stop.
Lin Fan didn’t say anything at first, but eventually he gave a half bow to the old man and said, "I’ll take care of her for you."
The old man gave a satisfied nod after hearing this.
The way that his expression changed was almost as if his last regret had been fulfilled and he had co to terms with his disappearance.
During this ti, it seed like the Holy Spirit Fla was the only one that didn’t co to terms with this. The Holy Spirit Fla just turned away from the old man, as if she wasn’t willing to look at him.
The old man didn’t say anything about this, he just looked at the Holy Spirit Fla with an amused look on his face like how an elder would look at a naughty child.
But then all of a sudden, the old man said, "It seems like you have sothing familiar on you. Why don’t you take it out for ?"
Lin Fan was caught off guard by this question, but he knew that it was directed right at him since the old man was looking at him. It was just that he didn’t know what the old man was talking about since he didn’t know how much the old man could see through him.
At first, he took out the map that he had been following before taking out the trinkets.
The old man didn’t seem interested in these things, even though it seed like he did recognize these things. From his reactions, it seed like these things had co from the Dao Sect and it seed like they ca from a special place in the Dao Sect.
It was just that this wasn’t what the old man cared about right now.
Eventually, Lin Fan finally took out the item that the old man was interested in.
It was a good thing that he only took out the things that he thought were related to the Dao Sect or else he might have revealed sothing that he shouldn’t have revealed.
"So you had this thing after all."
Ye Qing Huan looked at Lin Fan with a questioning look when she heard the old man say this, but Lin Fan had the sa confused look on his face. After all, he had no idea why the old man cared this much about this item.
It was nothing more than a simple token for the Dao Sect.
By all right, this should be nothing more than a simple form of identification for those that belonged to the Dao Sect.
Even if the one that the Highoak Family possessed was a bit more special than what others might have, it shouldn’t have been that special.
"It seems like you really don’t know what this token is." The old man revealed a faint smile as he said this which just made Lin Fan even more confused.
"It’s alright if you don’t know since this isn’t sothing that anyone other than our Dao Sect should know about." The old man shook his head and gave a sigh before he said, "That token is a special one, it will grant you access to plenty of places in these ruins. Of course, you won’t be able to receive the rewards that you would have received if you use this token. It’s a shortcut that will let you bypass so of the trials that you should face, but it’s universal which ans that it does have its uses."
The old man didn’t seem like he was going to elaborate further than this.
Not to ntion that he was already starting to fade.
The final words that he left were, "Go and see what this world has to offer."
Of course, these words weren’t for Lin Fan or Ye Qing Huan.
