"What kind of ssed up place is this?"
That was all that the disciples of the Five Great Sects could think as they tried their luck in the Dao Sect ruins.
No matter where they tried to get so benefits, the only thing that happened was that they were beaten black and blue.
The only good thing was that it didn’t seem like this place had any intentions of killing them.
Even though they were getting beaten up from the traps that they encountered, they weren’t actually being killed by them. It was as if whatever traps there were would always stop right before killing them.
However, that wasn’t the reason that they were calling this place a ssed up place.
The reason that they called this place a ssed up place was because...
"Even though I keep getting beaten up, I can feel myself getting stronger..."
"If the price is getting beaten up, perhaps it’s worth getting stronger with this thod."
"This isn’t just getting beaten up, we’re getting beat within an inch of death."
It really seed like it was a ssed up system that the Dao Sect had left behind to train those that ca to explore this place.
From the system, they could tell that the Dao Sect did want to leave behind so kind of inheritance before disappearing. It was just that to leave this kind of inheritance, it really wasn’t sothing that they had expected from the Dao Sect.
"Did the people of the Dao Sect enjoy things like this?"
Even the righteous sects that were splintered off from the Dao Sect couldn’t help thinking this.
They might have splintered from the Dao Sect, but it wasn’t as if they had received everything from the Dao Sect. There were many things about the Dao Sect that they didn’t actually know.
For example, if the Dao Sect enjoyed getting beaten up or not...
If that was the case, then they really were quite the ssed up sect.
But then again, it really wasn’t as if the righteous sects could say anything about that since they were technically from the Dao Sect as well.
If they were to say sothing about this, people might start looking at the righteous sects with strange looks. That was the last thing that anyone from the righteous sects would want to happen.
However, it wasn’t as if this was sothing that could be hidden completely.
After all, there were those from the Heavenly Demon Sect that had also entered the Dao Sect ruins and were receiving the sa kind of treatnt. It made them think that there was sothing different about the righteous sects.
Still, they were getting stronger because of the different ’training’ that they were receiving.
Which was why there were those that were specifically charging into the different pavilions that they found.
Even if they were being beaten, they were still gaining experience from it and they wanted to stack as much experience as they could.
But the ones that chose to use this thod were the ones that were at the bottom of the barrel. Or at least when compared to the other disciples that had entered the Dao Sect ruins.
They were still core disciples of the Five Great Sects, but they were only barely considered that.
Which was why they knew their limits and only did what they could to improve.
The ones that were stronger knew that it was hopeless to do this, so they watched these weaker core disciples charge into the different pavilions. They were using them as cannon fodder to find a way to break through the traps that were set.
It was just that no matter how they tried, they just weren’t able to find a way to break through the traps that were in these arrays.
In a way, they even felt that they were inferior to the ones that kept charging since they were just wasting ti observing them.
Other than this, there were those that had created groups that were acting as bandits in between the different pavilions. They only had a single goal, they were gathering people to use as cannon fodder.
It was similar to the group that had tried to attack Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan previously.
They were going around on the orders of the leaders of their different sects to capture as many people as possible. Though in this case, it seed like they were aiming for those from the Heavenly Demon Sect.
After all, the bandit groups were composed of those from the four righteous sects.
But they weren’t limited to just the Heavenly Demon Sect.
It wasn’t as if there was complete unity among the core disciples of the righteous sects. In the first place, the sects themselves created environnts that encouraged the disciples to compete with each other.
Which ant that it was inevitable that there would be factions that ford between them.
That ant that among the core disciples of the righteous sects, there were those that didn’t cooperate with each other.
Which was why those bandit groups were even targeting disciples of the righteous sects. They were doing all that they could to weaken the factions that weren’t their own.
In a way, they were actually impeding their own progress by doing sothing like this.
In the end, there wasn’t a single pavilion that had been cleared so far because of all the things that the different disciples did with each other.
It was also why they were feeling frustrated and so of the more powerful disciples were starting to wonder if they should make a move.
They hadn’t so far because they had wanted to let others take the lead and clear the path for their glory, but it really was hard when there was nothing to show for it.
Though it also wasn’t as if they hadn’t tried breaking through so pavilions.
It was only because they failed that they ca up with the plan to catch people to act as cannon fodder in the first place.
"What do we do with this place?"
It reached a point where the disciples started eting with each other regardless of factions. At this point, desperation set in and they were starting to move without care of their own pride.
After all at this rate, it didn’t seem like they would be able to get anything out of this place.
Even though no one had officially ntioned a deadline, it wasn’t as if they could remain in this place forever. These were the main forces of the Five Great Sects and what supported them on the cultivation continent.
It wasn’t a problem if they were to disappear for a short period of ti, but it was completely different if they disappeared for a long ti. There were many places that needed their suppression for the system that they built on the cultivation continent to work.
Which was why they would have to return from these Dao Sect ruins eventually.
As more and more ti passed, the disciples of the Five Great Sect were feeling the pressure.
There were even disciples of the Heavenly Demon Sect that were eting with disciples of the four righteous sects. Even if they were on opposing sides, it didn’t matter now when they had to face sothing that none of them could overco.
It reached a point where there was this impromptu alliance that ford.
It was an unofficial alliance, but at least it ant that they would work together to a certain extent.
That was except for Lin Fan’s group.
Since Lin Fan’s group had been doing their own thing the entire ti, they hadn’t learned any of this.
Until they t with soone that they were certain was on their side.
During this ti, Lin Fan had avoided connecting with him since he wanted to let him mingle with the rest of the disciples to gather information. At the sa ti, he was letting him go on a rampage so they could establish their faction’s reputation among the other sects.
But now that ti had passed, it was ti to see what he knew.
"So they’ve been moving on their own? They’ve been mingling with the righteous sects?" Ye Qing Huan’s voice had a trace of a coldness in it when she said this that sent chills down the spines of Lin Fan and Han Ba.
They knew what Ye Qing Huan was thinking, but it wasn’t as if they were going to stop her.
That was the reason why Han Ba had reported this matter to Ye Qing Huan in the first place.
"Get more information and see who hasn’t been contacting the righteous sects during this ti. Bring them to us and we’ll bring you to a good place." Ye Qing Huan gave this order to Han Ba.
Lin Fan didn’t mind that Ye Qing Huan took the lead.
After all, in the eyes of the other Heavenly Demon Sect disciples, she was the one that was leading their group. So it was only natural that she would be the one giving the orders to Han Ba.
Han Ba showed that he had so doubts about this, but he still agreed with what Ye Qing Huan said.
Though it would take so ti to make this happen.
They had been scattered all around the Dao Sect ruins and there were things here that blocked their spiritual sense. Which ant that it was quite hard for them to contact each other even if they wanted to.
When they did et again, Han Ba and the ones that he found were shocked to see where Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan brought them.
