At the center of the area of concentrated death energy, there was a single lily that was growing there.
The fact that there was a lily growing there was already strange enough since this was a barren land that didn't have a trace of green in the first place.
But this lily wasn't a normal lily either.
It was a lily that seed like it was deathly ill.
The stem of the lily was black, the petals of the lily were gray, and the flower itself seed to be hanging down as if it had no energy at all. It was almost as if this lily was a flower of death with its appearance.
It was just that there was no mistaking it, even though the lily seed like it was dead, it was actually still alive.
This was a lily of death that grew from absorbing the concentrated death energy around it.
It was a lily that was stained in the power of death.
However, life and death were two sides of the sa coin, which was why this thing had a powerful effect on the physique that Huang Xie had. A physique ca from the concentration of life energy that a person had, so the death energy contained within the lily would be able to incite the life energy of the physique to make it stronger.
That was why Hei Gui wanted Huang Xie to take this lily.

These things were hiding all around the lily, as if they were guarding it.

But even though he could sense them, it didn't seem like Huang Xie had any fear as he headed towards the lily growing in the center of this area. It was as if he didn't care that there were all these things around him, he was only focused on his goal.
There was nothing that happened as Huang Xie approached the lily at first, but then there was sothing that broke out of the ground.
The mont that this creature broke out of the ground, it imdiately sent out a dark energy attack at Huang Xie.
It didn't even bother to land first after bursting from the ground, it just imdiately shot this blast of dark death energy from its mouth. It was as if this creature had gathered this energy ahead of ti and only burst out when it ca up to shoot it.
Huang Xie didn't panic when he saw this.
Rather, he didn't even seem like he noticed it.
Well, it wasn't that he didn't notice it, it was that he didn't seem to care about it as he continued forward towards the lily.
As for why he didn't care about it.

When the smoke from the explosion settled, Huang Xie was revealed to be still walking towards the lily. It didn't seem like he was affected at all by the blast of dark energy, it was as if the death energy blast had just disappeared on its own.
Though if one looked at Huang Xie carefully, they would see that there was a faint layer of green light around him.

After the first blast of death energy, the creature that ca out of the ground didn't use a follow up attack.
The look on the face of the creature showed that it was shocked by the fact that its attack did nothing to Huang Xie, but it didn't remain above the ground.
Once it landed on the ground, this creature that looked to be so kind of mole started to dig into the ground again. In no ti at all, the creature disappeared into the ground and was hidden again.
But this mole creature wasn't the only one that was here.
There were others that suddenly popped out of the ground just like the first mole creature.
Right after popping out of the ground, they shot out these blasts of dark energy that were the sa as the blasts of dark energy that the first mole shot.
These blasts of dark energy were all aid at one spot.
They were all aid at Huang Xie who was still walking towards the lily that was there.
But the sa thing as before happened where there was a faint layer of green light that appeared around Huang Xie that stopped all of the blasts of dark energy from hitting him.
It was as if the blasts of dark energy were nothing more than balloons with the way that they popped into nothingness.
The moles that popped out of the ground all seed shocked, but that didn't stop them from burrowing right back into the ground.
It seed that none of them wanted to fight Huang Xie head on just yet as more and more of them ca out of the ground. It was an entire group of these moles that kept popping out of the ground, shooting these blasts of dark energy at Huang Xie.
But no matter how the moles tried to harm him, it was as if they couldn't do a single thing to him.
Huang Xie just stopped them every ti with the faint green light that appeared around him.
It didn't even seem like he was breaking a sweat with how easily he destroyed their attacks each ti.
The moles were getting more and more desperate as Huang Xie ca closer and closer to the lily.
During this, Zhao Ling Jun looked at Lin Fan with a worried look, as if she was asking if he was going to help Huang Xie at all. After all, for Zhao Ling Jun who had just started cultivating, the attacks of these moles seed terrifying.
Even if Huang Xie seed like he was able to make his way through this without a problem, she was still worried that sothing would happen.
That was why she was asking Lin Fan to do sothing.
But Lin Fan just watched with a calm look on his face.

The faint green light that was around his fist grew a bit stronger as he punched at this large mass of dark energy.
Once his fist made contact, it was as if the large mass of dark energy was a balloon that had suddenly t with a pin. There was no resistance at all as it suddenly shattered apart.
It popped like a balloon and disappeared without a trace.
When it was all over, Huang Xie stood there with an imposing manner.
The moles that had dropped to the ground stared on in shock, to the point where they didn't go back into the ground. Instead, they just sat there on the ground looking at Huang Xie with shocked looks.
They just couldn't believe that soone could destroy their attack with one single punch like this.
Zhao Ling Jun's eyes were sparkling when she saw this.
It looked like she really wanted to run over there and hug Huang Xie, if it wasn't for the fact that she was trapped in a bubble of Clear Water.
As for Lin Fan, there was a faint smile on his lips.
"It would have been better if you didn't do anything. You would have looked much cooler if you just didn't do anything at all." That was what he thought with his experience from Earth.
After all, casual was always better than acting tough when it ca to making an impression.

Still, Huang Xie had achieved his goal in shocking and scaring the moles so they stopped attacking.
That gave him the gap that he needed to head over to the lily and pick it from the ground.
