"Aweso."

Wei’en looked at the familiar bedroom and snapped his fingers in excitent.

’This is how a Wizard should be. Just a thought, and I can appear sowhere else.’

It was the perfect skill for a Wizard to travel or escape.

Miss Zombie stared blankly at Wei’en’s sudden appearance, then hurriedly pulled on the dress she was still in the middle of nding.

"Uh..."

Only then did Wei’en notice her state. "Sorry, I just learned a new Magic and was testing its effect."

"Are you... nding your clothes?"

The mont the words left his mouth, he knew he’d asked a stupid question.

Miss Zombie was holding a needle and thread, and she was stark naked. If she wasn’t nding her dress, what else could she be doing?

’Could she be...’

Shawa emotionlessly pulled on her dress, turned her back to him, and said, "I. Need. A. Room."

"No problem. There’s an empty room downstairs you can use for now, but there’s no bed or blanket..."

Shawa’s steps toward the door faltered for a mont. In a hoarse voice, she said, "Thank you."

Wei’en was so embarrassed he wished he could find a hole to crawl into. He had actually told an Undead Creature to sleep on a bed and use a blanket...

Thankfully, Miss Zombie didn’t press the issue, or he might have really had to cast another Blink Spell and teleport back to his workshop...

After she left the bedroom, Wei’en felt a little better. Recalling the scene, he smacked his lips and muttered, "I should buy her a set of underwear tomorrow..."

He had noticed long ago that the entire residence had beco much cleaner and tidier.

He didn’t have to wonder about so other good Samaritan; it could only be the work of the hardworking, uncomplaining Miss Zombie, who was willing to slave away.

Although, he wasn’t quite sure if all Undead Creatures ca with a built-in housekeeping attribute...

"Sleep, sleep..."

...

...

Wei’en only woke from his deep sleep after the church bell had chid eight tis.

However, he didn’t get up. Instead, he closed his eyes and began reviewing the rune knowledge in his mind.

The sheer volu of information was imnse. Relying on passive absorption and searching for it only when needed was far too inefficient.

So, before going to sleep last night, he had created a dedicated study plan for himself.

From now on, studying rune knowledge before getting out of bed in the morning would beco his daily routine.

After half an hour spent rapidly absorbing one-thousandth of the foundational rune knowledge, Wei’en got up to wash.

According to the records, the appearance of runology could be traced back to the end of the Second Era. No specific ti was given, nor was it clear who invented it.

There were only a few simple lines: "Runes are the essential manifestation of rules, the proxy sigils of power, and the extension of a great illusion."

Upon their initial appearance, runes were studied and accepted by the Extraordinaries of this world, and their use has continued to this day.

Wizards ca into being after the appearance of runes, using them as a foundation to construct their system of Magic...

There was also a classic quote from a Great Mage in the middle of the Third Era: "Give a little ti, and I will turn a god into an Origin Rune..."

Instantly, Wei’en thought of the Death God Olanir’s Origin Rune.

’Perhaps this is the origin of the Death God Origin Rune...’

Wei’en recalled the evaluation the panel had given when the Rune Tree of Knowledge was first generated: The appearance of runology infinitely raised the upper limit of an Extraordinary’s power.

So, the panel had already made it clear to him back then—the power of runology.

It was just that at the ti, he hadn’t realized it at all.

"This ti, I’m really standing on the shoulders of giants..."

After washing up, Wei’en put on his new Investigator uniform, trimd his hair in the mirror, and then finished off the last of his black bread.

His appetite now was at least three tis what it used to be. He could eat four one-pound loaves of black bread for breakfast alone.

A rough calculation showed that he spent at least 3 shillings a day on food alone.

And that was just calculating for black bread...

Wei’en counted the gold pounds in his wallet. There was... oh, 18 gold pounds and 5 shillings. Never mind, then.

He had almost forgotten that he had just received a huge sum of money yesterday.

Plus, with the future inco from selling Magic Potions—he wouldn’t say he was rolling in money, but at least he could afford so cheese and butter to go with his black bread.

After tidying up, Wei’en checked the ti—8:50.

’There’s still a little ti left. Why not take this chance to check out that Nightmare Realm?’

No sooner said than done. Wei’en took out the tal card and, following the thod Clelia had described, placed it on his forehead.

’Ooh, it’s cool and refreshing...’

Hm?

Imdiately after, Wei’en felt his body beco ethereal, as if there was nothing solid beneath his feet, and he began to fall endlessly downward.

The scenery around him started to twist and fade into nothingness, as if he were being sucked into another dinsion.

When he opened his eyes again, the scene before him had completely changed.

"Gunman brand, a mark of excellence! Don’t miss today’s first batch of perfect-grade muskets! Co and have a look!"

"Developing Potions from the distant Shetland Kingdom on the Eastern Continent! Powerful effects, can look back up to ten years in the past..."

"The Blood Spirit School is aggressively buying corpses of Holy Professionals from the Dawn Church! Interested parties, please state your number..."

Wei’en stared blankly at the scene before him. One after another, there were strangely shaped black shadows and slabs of stone... ’Tombstones?’

This place was actually a desolate cetery!?

He checked again. Beneath his feet was dark soil, and all around him stood crooked stone tombstones with small, raised mounds of earth behind them.
