Enraged that its spewing attack had been interrupted, the Giant Earth Rock Worm abandoned its ranged assault for the mont. It violently twisted its massive body, snapping its tooth-filled maw at the "insect" that dared to harass it!
At the sa ti, its thick tail swept out, cutting off Murphy’s path of retreat.
Murphy’s expression remained serene. His footwork shifted nimbly as he floated backward like a willow catkin in the wind, narrowly avoiding the worm’s devouring bite.
He didn’t et the sweeping tail head-on. Instead, he tapped the ground with his Longsword and used the montum to launch himself high into the air. Flipping over, he unleashed a reverse-grip slash. A concentrated blade of thunderous energy slamd into the shell on the worm’s tail, erupting in a shower of electric sparks. It left behind a scorched gash, but failed to inflict any substantial damage.
’The monster’s hide is simply too thick.’
"Lord lfield!" Quentin’s voice bood from the tower platform like a clap of thunder, filled with urgency. "Its weak spot is at the joint between its head and body! But its shell is too thick—we need to break through its defenses! Create an opening for us, or... accept our power!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Quentin forced himself to his feet and growled to the three Archbishops, "Now! Give him everything you have left!"
The three Archbishops already understood.
Although their faces were as pale as paper and they were spiritually exhausted to the extre, their hands trembling uncontrollably as they gripped their Magic Staffs, their eyes now blazed with an astonishing light.
The white-haired Archbishop slamd his Sapphire Staff onto the platform floor, and the gem began to flash wildly. The other two Archbishops simultaneously raised their Holy Emblems and Magic Staffs high. Disregarding the backlash to their Spiritual Power, they forcibly dredged up the last dregs of the Source of Holy from the depths of their souls. Their bodies convulsed from the searing pain, yet their chanted prayer remained exceptionally clear and firm.
"In the na of Oriane, we grant you the Blade of Evil-Breaking, the Shield of Tenacity, and the God Speed Foot!"
Three streams of milky-white Holy Light, though faint, were incomparably pure. They rose from the three Archbishops, pierced the Barrier that rippled continuously from the monster’s attacks, and shot across the battlefield like three beams of light, instantly enveloping Murphy as he fought the worm!
Murphy’s movents paused for a fraction of a second.
He could clearly feel three currents of Energy, each distinct yet equally powerful, being forcibly infused into him.
Sharpness Technique!

Divine Movent Technique!
These three Beneficial Magic spells were now stacked upon him in a crude but effective manner.

The Dark Gold Longsword let out a high, clear ring!
The violet-black lightning that had been crackling along the blade now surged as if injected with a stimulant, swelling in size while becoming more condensed and ferocious!
Fine arcs of electricity even spread to Murphy’s sword arm and down one side of his body, making him look like the Thunder God incarnate!
His speed increased again, a change visible to the naked eye. His movents grew more fluid and swift, and every step he took seed to be accompanied by the roar of wind and thunder.
Power!
An unprecedented feeling of power surged through his body!
His Essence attribute, which had been at 3.1, was now explosively surging to an astonishing 4.0!
A sharp glint flashed in Murphy’s eyes. His gaze instantly locked onto the worm, which was growing agitated after its failed attack and was trying to reposition itself.
Empowered by the Divine Movent Technique, his speed reached its absolute peak. His dark blue figure blurred into a distorted streak of light, weaving rapidly around the worm’s massive body. He dodged its clumsy bites and strikes, unleashing a relentless barrage of slashes with his Longsword!
This ti, the power behind each strike was completely different!
The blade, wreathed in brilliant violet-black lightning and faintly shimring with a layer of holy white light, no longer rely scorched the worm’s thick shell!
Accompanied by a harsh tearing sound and a deafening crack of thunder, it ripped through the shell, leaving behind ghastly wounds that cut deep into the flesh!
Viscous, dark-red fluid gushed from the wounds like small waterfalls!
"ROOOOAR—!!!"
The Giant Earth Rock Worm let out a pained roar, a mixture of terror and rage. It sensed a mortal threat!
It thrashed its body wildly, trying to roll and ram its way free of this suddenly dangerous Little Insect. Chaotic red light began to gather in its maw once more as it prepared to unleash an indiscriminate, wide-area spray.
But Murphy was too fast!
Bolstered by both the Divine Movent Technique and his own physical prowess, he clung to the worm like a shadow, weaving along the inner curve of its body where it was most difficult for the creature to bring its power to bear. A storm of sword light rained down upon the jointed section of its neck, just below the head!
The shell there was relatively thin, and under his doubly-empowered blade, it was rapidly being destroyed!
"That’s the spot!" Quentin, watching clearly from the platform, growled in excitent, his fists clenched tight.
Finally, after a masterful dodge and lunge, Murphy seized a montary opening created when the worm’s movents faltered in pain!
He shot upward, leaping into the air to a position above and to the side of the worm’s head, and gripped his sword hilt with both hands!
The Dark Gold Longsword humd as the violet-black lightning and holy white light on its blade intertwined, forming a nearly tangible, destructive blade of energy several ters long!
"Slash!"
With a cold shout, the muscles in Murphy’s arms bulged. He brought the blade of energy, now containing all his power, down like a world-splitting axe of thunder. It chopped viciously toward the vital point on the worm’s neck, right where the shell was most damaged!
SCHRRRRK!
The destructive blade of energy sliced through the shell as if it were splitting bamboo, burying itself deep within the worm’s thick neck!
And then—
KABOOM!!!
