Doric was cuddling with Ygritte after a long day of work when there was a knock on the door.
"It’s Lyra, my Lord," Lyra called out from outside.
’Honum Revelio,’ he said, and the spell told him that she was alone.
He used another wave of his wand to unlock the door and remove the magical wards that he had put there for his protection.
Lyra entered, and her eyes quickly fell upon both him and Ygritte, who was looking at the older woman with a smile.
Lyra took a chair and sat beside him. "Mannequin Daenerys was married to the Dothraki Horse Lord a few hours ago."
"I’d say ’poor girl’ if the real Daenerys had married the horselord. But the fact that the mannequin Daenerys married him ans our plan is working." He said.
From now on, Doric needed to monitor Mannequin Daenerys’s situation more closely and give more precise instructions. He also needed to arrange the mories the real Daenerys had watched from the mannequin, removing so parts.
There was no need for the young girl to watch the mories of her being raped by the Horse Lord.
In the original destiny line, Daenerys had accepted her fate at so point and embraced Dothraki culture, but in that situation, she had no choice.
In the original destiny line, Daenerys’s situation resembled Stockholm Syndro.
Moreover, the only family she had was her useless older brother, who saw her as nothing more than a tool. In that case, accepting Dothraki culture and Khal Drago would have given her another family.
But now, the real Daenerys experienced none of this and lived happily in her ho in Braavos. By showing her the mannequin’s mories, Doric wanted to show her what her life would have been like if Doric hadn’t helped her.
And showing too much might have made Daenerys overly interested in Dothraki life.
Moreover, while Doric knew the fundantal events of the original destiny line, many minor events not significant to this destiny line remained unknown to him.
Although the destiny line focused primarily on the lives of prominent figures like Daenerys, Jon, and Arya, this did not an Doric knew their lives in minute detail either.
Furthermore, once Doric arrived in this world, the original destiny line beca less important. Doric’s interventions in this world had already changed many things.
Therefore, Doric used this information primarily as a reference.
"Well... it would be hard to call either the real Daenerys or the mannequin Daenerys poor after Illyrio Mopatis gave them three petrified dragon eggs," Lyra said.
’Oh... so the dragon eggs have appeared,’ thought Doric.
He had stolen important artifacts and dragon eggs from many magisters in Essos in the past. Still, Doric rembered that the three eggs Illyrio Mopatis had given to Daenerys were not among them.
He always wondered where Illyrio would find them.
"Where did he get them from?" he asked.
"A rchant from Asshai, if his words are to be believed," Lyra replied.
"Aren’t dragon eggs very expensive?" Ygritte asked from beside him. He pulled her closer to him, her breast in view of Lyra, but she had already seen them naked a few tis, so they didn’t bother with the niceties anymore.
"They are." Lyra said, "But Magister Illyrio Mopatis is a wealthy man. One of the richest in Pentos."
"Still, to just gift them to soone else. That seems a bit frivolous." Ygritte said, and he smiled.
"Yes. But Illyrio Mopatis is not just giving them away for free." He said.
"He isn’t?"
"No. He is gambling by helping Prince Viserys Targaryen. If the arrogant boy sat on the Iron Throne in the future, then he would rember Illyrio Mopatis as the man who helped him when no one else did. And having a King’s favor is a big thing. It might even make Illyrio the richest man in Pantos, and it’s the de facto leader. Though if I am to be frank, then I doubt that the beggar prince would ever sit on the Iron Throne."
"I see." Ygritte said, turning to Lyra, "Anything else?"
"Oh yes. Jorah Mormont is now Princess Daenerys Stormborn’s sworn shield. I think the Spider promised him a pardon for his cris if he spied on the Targaryens for them."
"Jorah Mormont is a minor figure in the grand sche of things. But from now on, I want daily written reports on Daenerys. If anything important happens, let know imdiately. Now, if there is nothing else to discuss, you can get back to work," he said.
Lyra looked at both him and Ygritte, her breathing a bit heavy, and bit her lip.
Using a surface Legilincy probe told him that she was aroused and wanted to join in on the fun, but was afraid of getting rejected once again.
After a long mont, Lyra shook her head, "No. That’ll be all." With that, she got up and left the room.
Once he had closed the room, he turned to Ygritte, "Was it just , or was Lyra acting a little differently today?"
Ygritte’s cheeks reddened as she ducked her head, and he raised an eyebrow.
"Is there sothing you’re hiding from ?" he asked.
Ygritte let out a huff and said, "You were away for the whole day."
"I was."
"Well, I was in my room this evening when Lyra ca to ."
"For what?" he asked, intrigued.
"To talk with ." Ygritte said, "She talked to about sisterhood and polygamy. She asked about the polygamy of the Free Folk. And by the end of the conversation... I might have given her hope of being your woman. Or it would be more accurate to say she convinced ."
"Really? How did she manage that?" he asked.
"Well... It’s not like I was against you stealing other won from the start. Besides, among the Free Folk, the best friends a woman can have are her sister wives. There are very few people you can trust in those lands. And your sister wives are definitely at the top of the list. And frankly, I’d always like to have sister wives I could unconditionally trust." Ygritte said, looking a bit lost in her own thoughts.
"But you said in the past that you didn’t want to share with anyone else," Doric said.
