The Void Airship passed by the Eternal Garden, but Locke only needed one glance to sense the powerful magical plants within the Eternal Garden.
Among them, there seed to be not just First Circle level magical plants, but even Second Circle and Third Circle level magical plants.
Cloud Marsh Wetland was a dium-magic high-martial region. The magical tide concentration gradient here was extrely high, and massive amounts of power were concentrated in those individual beings. In the wilderness, there were even Second Circle and Third Circle level magical plants.
Of course, if magical plants of that level fell into the mortal world, it would be extrely easy for a situation to occur where a single magical plant affected several mortal national regions, forming a special environnt where human society coexisted with magical plants.
This was also sothing that breeders loved to study.
At the sa ti, the airship passed over the aerial garden and headed toward a town on the shore of Cloud Lake. Locke saw that there were no other cities around this town, only this town on the Cloud Lake shore, and nurous wizard towers had been set up inside it.
A defensive array ford by thirty wizard towers constantly protected that city.
Even so, from ti to ti there would still be kani people's hypersonic cruise missiles cutting through the sky, leaving trails with flaming tails in the air, striking the defensive shield covering the small town's airspace.
The orange-red flas and the translucent spell defensive shield ford a particularly striking composition.
The airship's crew announced over the speakers, "Attention all passengers participating in the Cloud Marsh Cup, ahead is our destination, Kalimra Frontier Town."
"Currently in the nearby area, due to attacks and interference from the kani people, all facilities related to wizard organizations have withdrawn from the Cloud Lake coastal region. Only this Kalimra Frontier Town remains as a forward base for attacking the kani people or resisting their harassnt."
"Kalimra Frontier Town is also the main competition venue for this Cloud Marsh Cup. Contestants will proceed to the town and deploy the tactical-level magical plants they create into the affiliated plane wizard army in Kalimra Frontier Town to guide the wizards representing our wizard civilization in their war against the kani people."
"This competition uses both a points system and a judge system."
"The Cloud Marsh Cup Competition Committee has invited senior wizard instructors, wizard instructors, and distinguished professors from major breeding academies throughout Cloud Marsh Wetland, totaling one hundred people, along with thirty First Circle wizards from our competition committee, forming a panel of one hundred thirty judges. Each judge can dynamically score the works designed by the participating teams, with final rankings related to total accumulated points."
"Additionally, this competition has received joint sponsorship from Cloud Marsh Wetland's Hanseatic Alchemy Workshop Alliance, Alsace Plantation Alliance, Shelley Pharmacy Alliance, Rousseau Law Firm Alliance, and Joseph Golem Shop Alliance. This competition provides paid viewing services, with various screening rooms throughout Cloud Marsh Wetland offering subscription services for wizards to watch the entire competition."
"Dear contestants, your every move will be watched by all of Cloud Marsh Wetland. The honors and achievents you obtain in the competition will be recognized by the entire magical world of Cloud Marsh Wetland."
"You will brew honors in this competition that transcend death, allowing your reputation to spread throughout the major wizard lands."
Locke looked toward the Ti Gold Crystal window. "No wonder the Cloud Marsh Cup Committee is so wealthy that they even have dedicated wizard airships to transport contestants. The first reason is that the Three Marsh Lands itself is a transportation hub and logistics center for the Eastern Zone, making travel convenient."
"The second reason is that the Cloud Marsh Cup competition has been comrcialized. The number of wizards who subscribe and pay to watch is definitely substantial."
The Cloud Marsh Cup competition was essentially a video version of a high-quality journal, and their recorded competition footage was like video versions of high-quality articles.
For Cloud Marsh Wetland, which had tens of tis more breeders than the southeastern quadrant and was a paradise for breeders, this competition's comrcial value was probably enormous.
Locke muttered to himself, "If the comrcial value is this large, then as the other party in this competition, can the kani people even be eliminated?"
"Would the competition committee tolerate the kani people being eliminated?"
"If they were eliminated, wouldn't that an losing the golden goose?"
Locke's expression was peculiar. Based on his intuition, the problems hidden behind the Cloud Marsh Cup were not small at all.
However, these matters were not his concern right now, so Locke only had these fleeting thoughts before pushing them to the back of his mind.
Locke said to Montgory, "Are the Hydra magical plant and the Tetraploid Rust Bead Flower properly calibrated?"
Montgory nodded and said, "Boss, of course. We could purchase quite a few related supplies on this airship. We spent another five magic crystal cards to buy so materials, and yesterday we completely calibrated the Hydra magical plant and the Tetraploid Rust Bead Flower."
"They're sealed in temporary pots."
"We just need to enter that Kalimra Frontier Town, and we can hand them over to the wizards from the affiliated planes for deploynt in war."
Montgory said in a low voice, "I didn't expect the outside world to be like this. It feels very different from the enclosed environnt of the Land of Six Towers."
"Completely different."
"But I have a better feeling about this place. Boss Locke, will our competition be watched by many wizards from Cloud Marsh Wetland? Then we need to work extra hard."
Bang!
The airship suddenly shook violently. Locke saw through the Ti Gold Crystal exterior that over a hundred chanical warships had appeared. The surfaces of those chanical warships were covered with cannon barrels and vertical launch silos for missiles.
The cold chanical battleships were like vengeful specters, the vengeful fangs of rampaging machine spirits that had been extinguished under the tide of wizard civilization.
A special sound appeared throughout the sky, seemingly so kind of sonic attack that made Locke furrow his brow, his body feeling very uncomfortable.
At the sa ti, a cold voice erged, "Eliminate all forces of the invading wizard lords, eliminate all minions of the Nightmare Legion. System 0213, continue executing mission."
"Confirming execution units..."
"Activating annihilation mode..."
In the next mont, countless artillery shells fell toward the wizards' Void Warship, but the imagined impact did not occur.
Locke saw that the Void Warship they were on activated a defensive spell array. Six special symbols appeared around the Void Warship, nullifying the kinetic energy of all missiles and shells that struck them.
Locke recognized this. It was a spell from the Abjuration School that he had only seen in books before, the Kinetic Nullification Curse.
Once this curse was deployed on an object, whenever that object received any kinetic attack, this defensive array would generate equal but opposite kinetic energy, nullifying all kinetic energy.
In other words, this was a defensive magic specifically targeting lee and physical damage, completely nullifying any physical attacks.
Locke understood. "After all, whether it's shells or missiles, they primarily deal kinetic damage as kinetic weapons. Using the Kinetic Nullification Curse from the Abjuration School, which was developed with reference to the Evocation School's magic, can nullify most of their attacks."
"Most of the kani people's weapons rely on kinetic damage. Their damage types are too singular, so they're naturally easy to counter."
"Hmm... This magic also has enormous restraining effects on bloodline essence masters who possess formidable physiques and prefer close combat. However, I rember this defensive magic has two drawbacks: enormous consumption that individual wizards find hard to sustain, and difficulty defending against attacks other than kinetic ones. So very few wizards are willing to choose such targeted defensive magic as their permanent defensive field."
At this ti, besides the wizard airship they were on, seven or eight more airships that had directly teleported through the web-way appeared around them.
At the sa ti, magical fireworks appeared over Kalimra Frontier Town. The fireworks ford a line of text, "Kalimra Frontier Town welcos all leaders from wizard civilization."
Simultaneously, around the wizard towers of Kalimra Frontier Town, over a hundred massive plant tentacles suddenly appeared. After receiving magical energy replenishnt, they rapidly grew, transforming into plant tentacles thousands of ters long. Like whips, they attacked the kani people's chanical battleships that were trying to intercept the Void Warship's approach.
In an instant, the kani people's chanical battleships turned into over a hundred dazzling fireballs in the air. The entire chanical battleship fleet was destroyed in an extrely brief period.
However, after these battleship groups were destroyed, even more chanical Gundams erged from beneath Cloud Lake, launching attacks toward Kalimra Frontier Town.
Locke watched this scale and thought with amazent, "Is this an intelligent race jointly created by Second Circle wizards?"
