Now reading: Chapter 92: Ancient Breeding Concept from Wizard: Starting With Synthesized Gems, a Adventure novel by 橘猫龙.

McCarthy said, "And even if you could extract ancient creature bloodline from the cat girls, it would be too mutated. Unless you're like and can find ancient fossils, extract information elents carried by negative energy particles from the fossils, then use this information to further modify the purified ancient creature bloodline..."

McCarthy boasted, "But ancient creature bloodlines are indeed powerful, possessing many powers that modern magical creatures cannot have. So powers are even very strange, things wizards have never even seen."

"Take the Archaeopteryx bloodline on , for example. It grants powerful Archaeopteryx bone claws with spell-breaking abilities."

"Based on my current shallow understanding, this world once experienced a major biological extinction. After that extinction, the so-called modern magical creatures that erged lack certain special ancient creature bloodline factors compared to ancient magical creatures. These special ancient creature bloodline factors are the reason those ancient creatures were incredibly powerful."

McCarthy speculated, "Of course, this is just my personal guess. I'm not a potioneer, I don't actually understand knowledge in this area. I don't know much about those special factors."

"In any case, I believe ancient magical creatures, even ancient magical flora and fauna, suddenly went extinct collectively at so stage. Their remaining descendants experienced more than one collective deterioration. So I think ancient magical creatures were very likely the result of external interference at so stage. A special bloodline factor appeared in the natural environnt that collectively enhanced them..."

"Later the environnt changed, and that type of special factor suddenly completely disappeared..." McCarthy smiled, "But for people like us who haven't even lived to two hundred years to discuss things from millions of years ago, or even more distant tis, is sowhat grandiose. I'm just discussing with you."

Locke nodded understandingly. He hadn't expected that the ancient bloodline he had synthesized was so rare.

To utilize ancient bloodlines probably required extensive interdisciplinary knowledge, which was why wizards who could utilize ancient bloodlines had always been few in number.

Moreover, the fusion of ancient bloodlines on old man McCarthy was actually quite crude, leaving many physical deformities that he hadn't noticed himself.

This was probably because he lacked potioncraft knowledge and only had archaeological knowledge. So although he could obtain relatively original, authentic ancient creature bloodlines, due to lacking potioncraft knowledge, his modifications were very unsatisfactory.

'If I could obtain authentic ancient creature bloodlines and then synthesize them, what would happen?' Locke thought, 'Could I obtain even more powerful bloodlines?'

'And what about the so-called great biological extinction that old man McCarthy ntioned, and those special ancient bloodline factors? What are those? Through synthesis, could I increase the concentration of these so-called special bloodline factors to levels that even ordinary ancient magical creatures couldn't reach?'

Locke ca back to his senses. This ti he had only co out to purchase magic tal for All Plants Are Soldiers, but had an unexpected gain by eting old man McCarthy and learning about archaeological knowledge.

He also had negative energy particle affinity and knew necromantic spells, so he could actually learn archaeology. Moreover, he had experience researching ancient bloodlines and had the Horadric Synthesis Cube to help him upgrade further.

Locke was thoughtful. When he beca more financially prosperous in the future, perhaps he could also deeply research these so-called ancient creature bloodlines.

After all, archaeology was indeed attractive to his current self, having enjoyed the benefits brought by ancient creature bloodlines.

Furthermore, what old man McCarthy ntioned about ancient plants that had already gone extinct was also very interesting. Continuing research in this direction might help him revive ancient magical plants.

This field seed to have no researchers currently.

It would require an interdisciplinary approach with achievents in both archaeology and breeding to research.

But these weren't currently necessary. Locke's primary goal now was still to strive to beco a formal wizard.

Locke said, "I enjoyed chatting with you today, but I need to complete a school task and go to Lilith's Cottage's super-large botanical garden. Let's chat again next ti, Shop Manager McCarthy."

McCarthy smiled, "We can exchange more often. I rarely et wizards researching ancient creature bloodlines."

"Welco to visit again."

He glanced at the signature Locke left on the confidentiality contract. "Dear Locke, when you co to ask questions in the future, routine questions can be half price, and if they're related to ancient creature bloodlines, completely free."

Locke thanked him, "Thank you, Shop Manager McCarthy."

"I won't be polite about it."

Locke left the shop, finally understanding why even fewer people researched ancient magical plants than ancient creature bloodlines.

First, breeders rarely thought about such obscure things and basically wouldn't think toward ancient magical plants.

Generally speaking, magical plant levels were constantly progressing. Who would create a hypothesis to think that ancient magical plants in so historical period possessed special bloodline factors and were therefore particularly powerful?

Second, plant essences were probably even more difficult to preserve than biological blood essences, naturally leaving much less researchable material.

But having been exposed to ancient creature bloodlines, Locke realized sothing startling: what McCarthy observed through archaeology might not be the truth, but it was indeed a possibility.

If so, then by simultaneously encountering archaeology and breeding, he might discover a field that southeastern quadrant wizards had never researched: ancient magical plant studies!

That would be a revolutionary discipline.

Locke suppressed his inner excitent and returned his attention to reality. He should first solve his current money shortage problem, then solve his slow mana growth problem, then think about other things.

Other things could only be icing on the cake. Only becoming a formal wizard was truly fundantal.

'Accessing so archaeology in the future might not be bad either.' Locke entered Lijin Secret Language and, with his Platinum Star status, rented a Radiation Cauldron for five hundred magic stones per month. He spent eight hundred magic stones purchasing one hundred sixty Palm Fire Lotuses, and spent three hundred magic stones buying nutrient soil, nutrient solution, and rapid growth hormone gel.

This left Locke with only 1,500 magic stones in savings.

Then he put the Radiation Cauldron and other items all into his Astral Ring and headed to the school's public super-large botanical garden to complete this year's school duty task.

Anyway, the process for his advanced ditation thod wasn't complete yet, so his ditation efficiency was very low. He might as well use this waste ti to complete the academy task.
