Levi arrived at a land of extre cold.
The cold wind howled, and Jin sat atop the hound, basking in glory.
This was a treasure land it had found; halfway there, Levi had already acquired a Sun Refining Artifact from the Frost Faction called the [Frost God Chapter]. .
"So far, I have discovered the temples of the Father, Holy Mother, Lord of Storm, and Eternal Fire on the Ninth Layer.
Among the seven orthodox gods, the Snow Goddess, King of Ten Thousand Dragons, and the Star Beast remain, who have a relatively better attitude toward Nora than the previous four."
Faintly in the snow, there appeared a temple of ice and snow.
Levi gazed calmly, pushing open the door. He did not feel any danger; it was quiet inside, with a decayed figure sitting alone on a high hall.
It too had twelve wings, its feathers like ice crystals having long lost their luster. Its figure was tall, strong, reminding Levi of a giant.
In the palm of its hand, it held a long spear, with divine light swirling.
It was indeed a divine weapon.
Levi’s gaze tightened; this angel’s status was not low. Many interdiate gods did not have a divine weapon. He perceived no danger, and thus reached out to take the weapon.
Suddenly, the corpse flickered with a hint of light.
Its tightly closed eyes opened, scrutinizing Levi before it.
"You’ve co."
For three hundred thousand years, it hadn’t spoken; its voice was hoarse and deep.
Levi’s gaze shifted, calmly saying:
"You knew I would co?"
"Yes, if you had co any later, the last trace of divine power I stored in this divine weapon would have been exhausted."
"Why were you waiting for ?"
"I was following the divine oracle of my Lord, waiting here lifelessly. How many years have passed since the fall of the Frost Giant Ancestor?" it asked.
"Over three hundred thousand years."
"So long."
"Your master is the Snow Goddess?"
"Yes."
"Interesting, it seems you willingly allowed yourself to be imprisoned here by Sauron. If I’m not mistaken, before your divine enthronent, you were a Frost Giant."
"I am the King of Giants, Olson."
"So, after the Ancestor of Giants failed against the gods, you Frost Giants ultimately betrayed him and turned to the Snow Goddess?"
Hearing the word ’betrayal’, the voice coldly laughed:
"The Giants would rather die standing than live kneeling; betrayal is a term never natural to us.
Back when we failed against the gods, the Ancestor of Giants perished, and his supre body was divided and consud by the gods in a futile attempt to gain the Frost Blood and enhance God’s Authority.
But supre power isn’t sothing these fake gods can easily control. The Snow Goddess, who consud the most of our master, is no longer the god she used to be.
Her will had long been replaced by the Ancestor of Giants. We are brave, fearless, and strong, but we are not foolish.
Since we couldn’t win, we pretended to join them, lying in wait for an opportunity. The future isn’t devoid of chances for resurgence."
Hearing this, Levi remained calm, as if having anticipated: "So, the Ancestor of Giants isn’t dead? Why are you telling this?"
Olson said:
"Because you are Sauron’s contingency plan. My master and Sauron have an agreent. After three hundred thousand years, when the ti is ripe, we shall rise again to fight the gods once more!"
Levi pondered inwardly, not completely believing Olson’s words.
Because he recalled the Frost Witch, who also acquired the power of the Ancestor of Giants and might face the risk of his will’s corruption.
The Ancestor of Giants seed to be attempting a rebirth by possession, possibly splitting into two, one in the astral world, and another in the mortal world, not putting all eggs in one basket?
Quite risk-aware indeed.
"Since the Giants and Nora are allies, why have your Church of Snow been oppressing Nora from the Near Ancient era onwards? Was it all an act?" Levi asked.
"Naturally, only if we appear to be like them would we not arouse suspicion from the astral world. Sauron says this is the great wisdom of [Harmonizing with Light and Dust], to blend in without standing out in the astral world." Olson said.
Having heard this, Levi was now largely convinced that Olson wasn’t lying to him. However, feeling uncertain, he continued to pace around within the temple.
Olson rely murmured to himself.
"You need not be astonished. An existence that reaches the Supre Realm cannot fully perish; they leave contingencies across the Multidinsional Plane.
After the Giants failed against the gods, they weren’t entirely exterminated. So surrendered to the astral world, and were made angels to serve it.
Another part hid within the special dinsional space opened by the Ancestor of Giants inside the Multidinsional Plane, the [Ancestral God’s Land], breeding quietly, avoiding the mundane, waiting for the opportunity for revenge."
While treasure hunting, Levi raised his head, asking:
"Where is that place?"
Olson didn’t hide it from Levi.
"The entrance is in the Land of Oblivion."
Having said this, it closed its eyes again.
"And then?" Levi asked.
Unfortunately, Olson didn’t answer.
Its last breath dissipated, the divine remains turned to ashes, leaving only the long-spear-shaped divine weapon falling to the ground, emitting a crisp sound.
Levi picked it up, noticing the text engraved in the Star Realm Language on it.
"Shattered Jade."
This must be an ancient divine artifact, its power not far from the [Dusk Moon]; it once belonged to Olson, the most powerful Angel Leader of the Snow Goddess.
Information from the Shattered Jade Divine Spear surged into Levi’s mind.
"This divine weapon is actually the key to the Giant Kingdom."
Regarding whether the Snow Goddess is indeed an ally, Levi still needed verification. Eventually, he found a blue ancient book on a shelf within the temple.
