...
Sorren Continent.
Levi, dressed in a pure white wizard robe, stood facing the wind.
All around him, the Black Abyss Sovereign and other legendary wizards encircled him.
"Finally, we can see the Blood River’s true face."
"Yeah, ever since the birth of the wizard civilization, these Blood Clan have been making trouble. It’s not really serious, but it’s always been annoying."
A crack appeared at Levi’s brow, revealing his Deep Red Eyes. The compound gaze fixed on the Blood Umbilical Cord, which slowly began to burn, transforming into crimson flas shooting into the sky and projecting a phantasmal scene.
Beside him, the Worm Lord’s eyelids twitched wildly.
"That’s how the Grand Council Chairman found back then, isn’t it?"
Better never toss away anything I carry from now on.
They saw a blood-red world drifting deep in space. All around, it was empty, with no familiar points of reference. The legendary wizards looked at each other, unable to fix its coordinates.
At the round table.
The Heavenly Will stood with hands behind its back, gaze falling on the star chart drawn by the ancient tower.
It was the Supre Council’s All-Knowing and All-Knowing, and its solo travels far outnumbered all the legendary wizards combined, which is why it was stationed here.
It constantly recalled mories it had sealed away of its own accord; they piled up like mountains. If these mories were poured into the mind of an ordinary legendary wizard—
It would make their head explode.
Ti ticked by, second after second.
Three days later, Heavenly Will’s expression lit up.
"I know where this is now. It’s not in the usual Land of Darkness but in a rift sowhere—one that connects to the [Sea of No Stars]."
Dark Rifts are twists and folds in space caused by battles among strong beings or plane explosions. So rifts contain a folded star domain. It still belongs to the Dark Universe, but normal thods can’t pinpoint its location.
"Send the rift coordinates."
"Alright, but it’s very far from here."
"No problem. I can perform a rapid spatial leap with the ancient tower and even use special dinsions to take shortcuts. A few people co with ."
Levi put away the Blood Umbilical Cord, looking up at the sky.
Heavenly Will said:
"Let co along. I’m more familiar with the route."
Lord of Northern Abyss raised his hand and laughed:
"Council President, if you don’t mind my low cultivation, let co and see for myself. Ever since I beca legendary, I haven’t fought soone in the sa realm."
Levi laughed heartily.
"Alright, then you two follow . We’ll be back within a year."
He looked at Emmon and said:
"Sorry to trouble you."
Emmon said:
"Not a bother—just go and co back quickly. The Blood River Will is nothing but a clown, dood sooner or later. We can’t let it delay our real business."
The Ancient Tower Scepter floated into Levi’s palm.
In a single thought, he connected with the Dark Ancient Tower billions of miles away.
"Teleport!"
...
Dark Ancient Tower.
Tenth floor.
Levi and the others appeared in a flash.
Lucy walked up to the Nautical Roulette.
"Co to think of it, I’ve never tried the Nautical Roulette. I heard Gargal pulled a supre treasure [teor Wand] on his hundredth spin. I want to try too."
After becoming legendary, Lucy seed a bit more lively.
She didn’t choose ten draws at once, but went single spin after single spin.
"Congratulations, ten billion Aether Stones."
"Congratulations, level 9 Iris."
"Congratulations, a Nine-level Treasure."
"Congratulations, ten billion Aether Stones."
"Congratulations, Primordial Relic [Fla Soul Fire Eyes]."
The golden legendary sound cue echoed through the tenth floor.
Levi and Heavenly Will both ca over, dumbfounded.
Levi thought to himself: "Is this the miracle of a single pull?"
Heavenly Will asked in a skeptical tone:
"Miss, was that really your first spin?"
Levi shrugged helplessly:
"It really was her first. This is the best prize the Nautical Roulette has given so far. Unbelievable."
Heavenly Will griped:
"Sigh, I really don’t have any luck. I did sixty spins, all minimum guarantees, and that blasted machine nearly sucked my stash dry."
Of course, that was an exaggeration; as the Barbarian Ancestor, its stash wasn’t nearly so thin.
But clearly, the drop rate on the Roulette is pretty terrible.
Levi comforted:
"Hahaha, it’s fine, you’re still contributing to civilization. The ancient tower needs one Level 9 Crystal to teleport a level 9 expert, and ten for a Level 10 Strongman... Sauron really went all out."
"No wonder, I always wondered where all that energy for those long-distance teleports ca from."
Heavenly Will marveled at Sauron’s cunning.
Lucy turned around,
her hands cupping an eye radiating intense heat as she held it out to Levi.
"For you."
"Thank you, miss. What price do you want in return?"
Levi didn’t bother with false modesty; this item was on his buy list.
Everyone knew he needed it.
Lucy smiled faintly, holding up five slender white fingers.
"Five Level 10 Crystals? No problem."
Levi had stockpiled so crystals already; he’d researched them thoroughly too.
Apart from Weapon Refinent and Pharmacy, he had no other use for them.
Lucy shook her head and smiled:
"Five Level 9 Crystals."
"Huh? That’s not fair—a five hundred wouldn’t get you this."
Levi blurted out on reflex.
Lucy replied:
"It’s totally fair. I got it with five Level 9 Crystals. To , that’s what this Primordial Relic is worth—actually, it’s useless to ."
Levi and Heavenly Will were left speechless.
Well, that...did kind of make sense.
No, it made no sense at all.
This was probably the only shot Lucy would ever get, burning through a lifeti’s luck for this rare mont.
Levi insisted:
"Let’s do Level 10 Crystals, I’m the Grand Council Chairman, you have to listen to ."
Heavenly Will watched them bicker, laughing inside.
Lucy said with a smile:
"Fine, I’ll do as you say."
With three lifetis of experience, she’d long stopped caring about material things.
For sothing she couldn’t use herself, giving it to the Grand Council Chairman felt perfectly reasonable.
