Hera had long stood before the Supre Gate.
But she never dared to step through, having asked Emmon, having asked Levi... She knew intimately the cost of attaining the Supre, understood the perils within.
But now, she felt the ti had co.
[Death Throne], for a long period, ranked just below the Dark Ancient Tower as a top-level treasure, placing Hera’s position in the Pan-Plane barely second to the Fire Sovereign.
Among the materials forged into this treasure, there is one thing.
It is the [Death Shedding].
This is a primordial relic of no low rank, once belonging to a being who also wielded death, though less than the Underworld Source River—a primordial spirit known as [Dawn and Dusk Worm].
Compared to many original forms of life—
It was most unfortunate, living only half a day, from its first deed shuffling toward death.
Its whole existence was like a mayfly—born at dawn, dead by dusk, infinitesimally brief.
Infinite closeness to death alone allows one to grasp the true essence of life. Relying on this relic, Sauron used forging to create the [Death Throne], the top-level treasure.
And gifted it to Hera.
His daughter, and the daughter of the Netherworld Ancestor.
Or perhaps... a bastard child.
The Underworld, lofty, withdrawn, absolutely neutral, must never mate and produce crystals with the ancestor of wizards, for this would send a signal to other giants.
The union of Wizard World and Underworld is clearly a bid for dominion.
So, to this day, besides Sauron, the Netherworld Ancestor, Mother River, and Hera, none know the true identity of the renowned Death Throne.
Of course, though Hera is Sauron’s daughter—
She feels little for her father.
After all, she never saw Sauron.
At her birth, Sauron was already dead.
The Netherworld Ancestor quietly sent her outside the Pan-Plane to grow alone.
By the ti Hera achieved fa, she was already a top-tier power. And Hera rose so swiftly solely because of the Death Throne left within her by her parents.
The Death Shedding was, naturally, gifted by Mother River.
Such a precious Supre thing is rare beyond compare.
As the River of Death, the Underworld had gathered many death-type primordial relics since ancient tis, most forged into the Netherworld Ancestor Hall, so as Netherworld Artifacts for powerful Nether Emperors. In a sense, Hera was also a Nether Emperor outside the established system.
After the Underworld and Nora publicly joined forces—
The Netherworld Ancestor also invited Hera to join the Underworld.
Yet, Hera refused.
She was a top-level warrior... yet also a wandering child without parents. She cared solely for her own cause, felt nothing for Sauron and the Netherworld Ancestor.
Affection is born of companionship.
She founded the Void Holy Temple, forming a Pan-Plane duality with wizard civilization.
But ultimately, her parents’ thods left her far behind Nora today; she was unwilling, she would ally, but not annex herself.
Perhaps deep in her heart—
She remained a little girl sulking at her parents.
She wanted to be strong, to prove herself.
Buzz! As a surge of Dense Qi erupted like a newborn sun, the universe trembled violently once more; in a single day, two Supres were born.
The Land of Darkness was stunned...
Where once a single Supre per epoch was a miracle—
This ti, five would barely be contained.
The ascent to Supre does not require Tribulation.
The Supre realm itself is tribulation, or a curse.
It is common knowledge: those entering the Supre rarely end well.
The Supre faces two imnse tribulations.
The first arises from the vested interests of other Giants—the Supre Wills.
"On the couch, how could one let others sleep soundly?"
They will not permit Supres that threaten their own status to be born.
Origin Divine Tree, Double Dragons, Frost Giant Ancestor, Ultimate Creation, Sauron... no matter their splendor, all have sunk into silence, fleeting as a teor. Mother of Darkness needn’t strike herself; she can strangle any Supre beyond her control.
The second tribulation follows attaining Supre—
The Supre Realm, ineffable.
Life forms shed convention, begin to beco pure rules.
As if returning to the ancestors of primordial spirits.
They cease to be strict life forms.
Emotion, desire, anger, joy, sadness, familiar people and things, beautiful mories... the things of the world cease to matter, like a numb program.
Living in the world, rely proceeding step by step. Frequent use of Supre Power accelerates this process; only slumber can delay it.
Otherwise, one becos lost.
Personality is lost, like the Sun, Moon, and Stars.
This tribulation renders the Supre less free than a level-10 being.
This is the most important reason Hera hesitated at this step.
These two tribulations suffice to block ninety-nine percent of would-be Supres outside the Giants. Across ti, apart from a few lingering, hardly any Supre endures in the world.
High above—
The Netherworld Ancestor, battling the Master of Horror, for the first ti showed emotion in her expression.
"Hera is about to take that step?"
Her heart was conflicted.
To this day, she had never acknowledged Hera as her daughter.
Hera always answered with silence.
For reasons unknown, a naless sense of loss filled her heart.
The Master of Horror sensed the change in the Netherworld Ancestor, and increased his assault.
"Heh, everyone wants to step into the Supre, eh? Truly madness."
He was faintly burning himself, beginning to fight with desperation.
The Netherworld Ancestor saw this and refused to back down.
At this point, there was no retreat.
Only forward! Forward! Forward!
The Underworld Source River and Nightmare Will were also moved.
The situation on-site had shifted beyond everyone’s expectation.
The Civil War had too many unpredictable variables.
To Mother River, tethering the Nightmare Will counted as victory. .
On the other side—
Emmon, giving his all to halt the spread of Disaster World, also gazed toward that figure.
"She is to be Supre as well?"
Emmon had thought Hera would abandon the path to Supre.
