His Life Force also increased sowhat; however, given his young age and already vigorous Life Force, he couldn’t feel any obvious change in the mont.
Duke put down the empty bottle and looked at the others.
Leon had already finished three bottles and was closing his eyes to digest, his face showing a satisfied expression.
Edmond was still wrestling with his first bottle, taking a sip and resting for a while, as if savoring so fine wine.
Marcus and the others took out their portions and carefully consud them.

The warmth spread again within him, nourishing his flesh and pouring into his Spiritual Sea.

After consuming six bottles of Level 1 Essence, his Spirit increased from 376.4 to 380.2.
The total increase was 3.8 points, along with 1.1 points from the first bottle, seven bottles of Level 1 Essence bringing nearly a 5-point boost.
Duke closed his eyes to feel for a mont, confird his Spiritual Sea was stable, without any sense of instability.
Only then did he take out the last bottle, this was the Level 2 Essence from Elder Greenvine.
The liquid in the bottle was much richer than that of Level 1, a deep jade green color, glowing faintly under the night sky.
Upon removing the cork, the fragrance of grass and wood was so strong it almost spilled out the bottle.
He drank it down in one gulp, and this ti the feeling was completely different.
The warmth was no longer a gentle stream, but a surging tide.
It swept through his entire body instantly, each cell greedily absorbing it, his Spiritual Sea was violently shaking, expanding at several tis the speed before.
Duke could even clearly perceive his Spiritual Power increasing at a speed visible to the naked eye, like a once calm lake suddenly injected with a torrent.
He closed his eyes, imrsing himself in the turmoil of his Spiritual Sea, allowing the warmth to wash over him.
About an hour later, the waves of Spiritual Power finally cald.
Duke opened his eyes and looked at the attribute panel.

The Level 2 Essence increased his Spiritual Power by a whole 10.5 points.
The Spiritual Power boost gained from consuming Life Essence was far less natural than free attribute points, requiring ti to digest, absorb, and stabilize the state of Spiritual Power.
However, it remained a highly valuable resource, especially for Wizards, who depend on Spiritual Power as extraordinary life forms.
Generally, there is a consumption limit for such Spiritual Power boosting resources for individuals.
Duke also felt that during the consumption of the latter six bottles of Level 1 Life Essence, the increase of Spiritual Power was significantly lower.
If he continued consuming more Level 1 Life Essence, it might be difficult to achieve further Spiritual Power enhancent.
Life Force, due to its subtler perception, had unclear effects, but likely diminished as well.
Nonetheless, when compared to other similar resources, the effects of Life Essence were already very powerful, allowing for much greater consumption.
Especially with Level 2 Life Essence, Duke sensed that even consuming ten or eight portions could still provide notable Spiritual Power growth.
If Level 3 or Level 4 Life Essence...
Duke understood more clearly now why this plane was targeted for disaster; these Ancient Fairies were practically walking resources in the eyes of other life forms.
As a High Plane, the Ancient Fairy Plane theoretically should have strong power.
Unfortunately, the Endless Plane never lacks powerful beings, nor does it lack strong planes and civilizations.
When facing those ancient, mighty top-tier civilizations, if the Ancient Fairy Plane could produce a Level 9 powerhouse to beco a top-tier plane, then they might have so ability to protect themselves.
Regrettably, they hadn’t developed to that point, exposed too early under the eyes of civilizations, leading to disaster.

The night deepened.
The surviving little fairies huddled in the farthest corner of the tribe, shivering.
Their tears had long run dry, leaving only hollow eyes staring at the empty huts.
The kin who used to protect them, teach them, accompany them, were now all gone.

The older female gently patted her back, humming a tuneless lody, her gaze vacantly fixed on the central clearing of the tribe.
There used to be the place where the chief and elders held councils.
Now only chaos remained there.

They just huddled together, waiting for dawn, or the next massacre.
Then, a faint aura drifted from the depths of the forest.
It wasn’t a murderous aura, nor pressure, but a warmth, like sunshine in spring, like a pond of lotus after rain.
