On the way to his residence, Ron couldn’t help but be captivated by the architectural style of the Sand Sea School.
Unlike the cold geometric aesthetics of the Crystal Tower, every building here exuded a rich breath of life.
"This design philosophy..." Ron observed as he walked, "is quite different from those towers in the Central Lands."
"That’s the unique feature of the Sand Sea School," Hayek explained:
"In such extreme environments, everyone is forced to learn to co-exist harmoniously with nature."
They arrived in front of a relatively independent small building.
The building was a warm earthy yellow, with natural patterns on the walls, as if it naturally grew out of the sand sea.
"This is your acmodation," Hayek said, pushing open the door:
"We specifically chose this place for you. It’s close to all the experimental areas, making it convenient for you to conduct research."
The interior of the residence was unexpectedly fortable.
Although the materials were sand coral, through careful design, the entire space was both spacious and cozy.
The most attention-grabbing feature for Ron was a meditation pool in the center of the room, filled with sparkling elemental sand.
"This is specially prepared for you," Yuni introduced with some pride:
"This elemental sand can enhance the effect of meditation and is particularly beneficial for cultivation related to bloodlines. We heard you came here to conduct research on bloodlines?"
"Yes." Ron nodded in confirmation: "I need to try some breakthroughs in a special elemental environment."
"Then you’ve e to the right place," Hayek winked mysteriously:
"The elemental chaos of the Quicksand Lands is dangerous but also an ideal environment for bloodline activation."
After settling in, Ron tidied up his luggage briefly in the room.
When he stepped out again, he found Hayek and Yuni still waiting outside.
"What’s wrong? Is there a special arrangement?" he asked curiously.
"We plan to take you to the lookout tower first," Hayek suggested:
"From there, you can see the entire sand sea, giving you a more intuitive understanding of its uniqueness."
The three climbed up along a spiral path, eventually reaching the "Elemental Lookout Tower" built at Leviathan’s head.
This was the highest point in the school and Hayek’s exclusive domain as one of the vice deans.
The main body of the lookout tower was a giant crystal ball, five meters in diameter.
The crystal ball was filled with some of Leviathan’s tissue fluid.
As Ron approached, he could sense an ancient and profound wave of wisdom emanating from it.
"Ramses has lived in this sand sea for tens of thousands of years,"
Hayek’s voice was filled with awe:
"It is thoroughly familiar with every elemental transformation here.
Through its consciousness connection, we can predict elemental surges in advance and find the most suitable time and place for specific experiments."
"You can look at the scenery outside," Hayek pointed to the distance:
"This perspective will help you better understand the environment we’re in."
Standing at this height, Ron was finally able to overlook the magnificent scene of the entire sand sea.
What truly captivated his attention was not the strange elemental storms in the distance, but the bustling settlements surrounding Leviathan.
Within tens of kilometers of Leviathan, there were scattered clusters of buildings large and small.
The architectural styles of these settlements varied, some appearing to grow out of the sand dunes, others using crystal and metal to create special wind-resistant structures.
"Those were settlements established by local sand people and various alien races," Hayek explained:
"Because of Ramses, the elemental fluctuations here are always relatively calm.
For those making a living in the sand sea, this is a natural haven."
Ron carefully observed those settlements, realizing that the residents indeed had obvious differences from ordinary humans.
"Those with shimmering skin are the ’Crystal Scale People,’" Hayek pointed to one settlement:
"The scales on their body surfaces can sense elemental fluctuations, changing color with the surrounding magical power environment.
When an elemental surge is imminent, their scales turn a glaring red, providing warnings to everyone."
In another direction, Ron saw a group of figures "swimming" through the sand sea.
Their movements were as agile as fish in water, pletely unimpeded by grains of sand.
"Those are the ’Sand Walkers,’" Yuni chimed in:
"They can not only move freely in the sand but also breathe normally during sandstorms.
It’s said that the most skilled Sand Walkers can dive several hundred meters deep into the sand sea without losing direction."
What intrigued Ron the most were those residents whose appearances kept changing.
"Those are the ’Multi-faced Race,’" Yuni continued, her tone tinged with a bit of envy:
"This mixed-blood race has multiple elemental affinities, allowing them to switch their physical features based on environmental changes.
See, it’s daytime now, with the fire element being more active, so their skin is red;
When the water element rises at night, they’ll turn blue..."
"Everyone is adapting to the environment here in their own way..." Ron mused.
"That’s the power of life," Hayek also remarked with emotion:
"In extreme environments, life always finds its own path.
That’s the most important lesson we’ve learned here—not to conquer the environment, but to learn to adapt to it."
