The dance lasted about half an hour, and as the last spin ended, the dancers slowly left the dining hall.
"How was it?" Yuni looked at Ron, "Quite a good impression of this place, right?"
"Very enchanting." Ron replied honestly:
"When this place transformed into a realm of elemental dance, who could have thought it would later reveal such splendid blossoms of civilization."
Chapter 451 Night and Morning of the Quicksand Lands
After nightfall, the giant observation window of the dining hall showcased the unique and magnificent scenery of the Quicksand Lands.
Unlike the fixed tower lights of the Central Lands, the night sky here resembled a vast elemental canvas, with lights of various colors flowing freely within.
"Look over there." Hayek pointed to an area of deep green light in the distance:
"That’s the core base of the Life Tree School - ’Eternal Garden’."
The green lights squirmed in the night sky like living creatures, forming various plex geometric patterns.
Sometimes they were blooming giant flowers, sometimes growing vines, or soaring birds and beasts, each pattern filled with a rich sense of life.
"Life Tree School..." Ron repeated the name thoughtfully:
"I remember it was once one of the Seven Major Schools, specializing in biological alteration and life extension technologies."
"That’s right." Hayek’s voice carried a slight plex emotion:
"Before the end of the Third Era, the Life Tree School’s status was even above the Crystal Tower. They mastered the most advanced life sciences, possessed secrets to prolong life, and could reportedly grant true immortality."
The old man sighed softly:
"But the ’Eternal Plague’ incident pletely changed all that. That catastrophe, which swept half of the Main World, made everyone fearful of life alteration technologies."
Yuni took over the conversation, a flash of reminiscence in her purple eyes:
"When I first came here, I observed those green lights from afar. Whenever the night deepened, those lights would reveal outlines of various creatures—some familiar, others pletely beyond the scope of nature."
Her voice became somewhat mysterious:
"It is said those light shadows are the collective manifestation of all experimental results of the Life Tree School over thousands of years. Each light point represents a created or altered creature, leaving imprints on the elemental level that continue to influence this land."
Ron carefully observed the area of green light and indeed found extremely plex layered structures within it.
The surface light was gentle and soft like the fresh green of spring; the deeper light seemed more profound, carrying a certain ancient and powerful life force; and in the deepest part, some strange colors occasionally flashed—blood red, bone white, deep purple... Though brief flashes, these colors evoked a chill.
"Though declined, the Life Tree School remains the undisputed master here." Hayek continued:
"On the surface, they have three Great Wizard Level beings. The strongest ’Life Mistress’ Alicia is said to have lived for over eight hundred years, possessing forbidden secrets to revive the dead."
"Then there’s ’Blood Sculptor’ Dariu, specializing in live alterations, capable of reshaping any creature according to his will."
"And ’Eternal Guardian’ Seraphina, the Life Tree School’s external liaison, who appears the most amiable but is in fact the most dangerous among the three."
Ron mentally recorded these important details while continuing to observe other lights in the night sky.
To the northeast of the green light area, a region of golden-red light was rolling and dancing.
This light was wild in form, like burning fire dragons traversing through the clouds, occasionally emitting deep roars.
"That area belongs to the Burning Scale Clan." Magnus pointed towards the fiery light:
"They are the most powerful Dragon Descendant clan in the area, their bloodline tracing back to the First Era’s Flame Dragon King. Though diluted over the years, they still have Star Ring Level ancestors present."
Holt added from the side: "The clan leader Baroque himself is a Moon Level High Tier Wizard. Their bat style is exceptionally brutal and direct, making even the Life Tree School unwilling to face them directly."
The golden-red light in the sky shifted into various dragon shapes, some soaring giant dragons, some perched mountain top Dragon Kings, and others were twin-headed dragons engaged in bat. Each figure radiated a strong sense of oppression, even just watching conveyed the contained destructive power.
Ron noticed that within these dragon-shaped light shadows, some ancient runes occasionally appeared. These rune patterns were extremely outdated, carrying the distinct majestic aura of the First Era.
"Those runes..." He pointed to a brief appearance in the sky:
"They seem like the marks of dragon language magic?"
"Your eyesight is excellent." Magnus nodded approvingly:
"Those indeed are the ancient dragon language words, recording the names and deeds of the Burning Scale Clan’s ancestors. In this unique elemental environment, even the glory of ancestors can be materialized."
Looking further south, a much milder blue-purple light was flowing gently.
The shape of this light was the most regular, presenting various geometric figures and academic symbols, occasionally forming plex Magic Models for demonstration in the sky.
