"I saw so records in the library which ntioned that combining these two disciplines could advance to a higher level extraordinary profession—’Mystic Scholar’."
Eve’s eyes imdiately lit up:
"Your learning speed is truly astonishing! Yes, a Mystic Scholar is a high-tier profession akin to an Ancient Alchemist, focused on dual insight into ti and space, exploring the deepest secrets of the universe."
She lowered her voice, as the following content was not suitable for too many people to hear:
"From what I’ve co to know, there are only two Mystic Scholars existing in the world today."
"Professor Uther is one of them, right?"
Ron asked tentatively. In fact, he had a hunch while glimpsing the other’s phantom.
"Exactly."
Eve nodded, a look of admiration for her ntor appeared on her face:
"Grandfather is one of the few true masters who have grasped this dual insight."
"Then who’s the other one?" Ron asked with so curiosity.
This was sowhat outside his knowledge domain; although he had looked up so relevant knowledge, he surely didn’t understand it as comprehensively as the other person did.
"The other one is ’Eye of Observation’.
Eve’s voice was filled with awe:
"An ancient presence that has continued from the Second Era until now. It is said that as knowledge and lifeti accumulate, its magic power upper limit continually increases, theoretically infinitely growing.
’Eye of Observation’ embodies nurous Star Ring bloodlines, the core being the innate part of the ’Elder Eye Demon’."
Ron’s heart trembled; the instance Eve ntioned matched so of the information he had previously obtained.
"Elder Eye Demon..."
He repeated softly, a look of contemplation flashing in his eyes:
"In Wizard history, the top Great Wizard who rose through the Path of Truth—’Elder’ Calix was probably nurtured by this ancient presence?"
"Your knowledge in this area is quite extensive."
Eve was slightly surprised, the breadth of knowledge the other displayed at this mont seed uncharacteristic of a Wizard from a Marginal School:
"Indeed. Calix was a student of the Eye of Observation, and his ’Elder Eye Demon’ bloodline was personally bestowed by it.
Those abilities of causality severance and result preview made Calix the most versatile Great Wizard in history."
Ron pondered for a mont, combining this information with what he already knew to try to construct a more complete picture.
Elder Eye Demon, Path of Truth, Mystic Scholar...
There seed to be so hidden connection among these concepts, like stars in the universe echoing each other, jointly pointing to higher realms.
"These ancient secrets... truly fascinating."
After a mont of silence, Ron said sincerely:
"I feel that linking these clues together is like playing an endless puzzle ga."
Eve smiled slightly:
"This is precisely the charm of the Wizard’s path, eternal exploration and discovery. Even though it’s fraught with danger, we can’t resist the desire to know the unknown."
Her gaze fell on Ron again, a hard-to-contain joy erging on her face:
"Speaking of which, my condition has indeed gotten a lot better recently. Although the ’Demon Devouring’ symptoms still exist, it’s not as painful as before. This change...I can’t put into words the feeling."
Eve’s voice trembled slightly, emotions almost spilling over:
"You know, ever since I have mory, I’ve been tornted by this condition.
Every ti I try to mobilize magic power, I’d feel excruciating pain akin to a thousand needles piercing the heart. I’ve seen nurous Magic Potion Professors and Masters of Modulation and tried countless therapies, all to no avail."
She took a deep breath, tears shimring in her athyst eyes:
"It’s been fourteen years, living in darkness, almost having given up hope.
But now, because of your benevolence, for the first ti, I’ve felt a glimr of light, that feeling...like a blind person suddenly seeing colors, it’s overwhelming."
Ron could read from the slightest expressions of the black-haired girl her heartfelt feelings of gratitude and hope.
Fourteen years of hopeless searching, for her, the pain had almost seeped into every inch of her bones.
And now, this long-standing darkness had finally been torn with a crack, allowing a ray of hope to seep through.
Facing Eve’s emotional expression, the warmth in his eyes also slightly rose:
"Our mutually beneficial cooperation is advantageous to both parties. You provide with valuable knowledge, and I offer feedback from the favor, complenting each other for mutual benefit."
This calm and rational response did not disappoint Eve; instead, it made the girl appreciate him even more.
In her upbringing, excessive emotional exposure was often considered a weakness that needed to be discarded.
And Ron’s rational-prioritized attitude precisely aligned with her principles.
"In any case, I’m grateful you’re willing to try this special form of cooperation."
Eve nodded slightly, the tears on her face slowly fading away:
"That’s why I want to attend the festival celebration with you in a few days."
Her athyst eyes sparkled with expectation:
"In the past, I never had the opportunity to participate in these activities, as the ’Demon Devouring’ symptoms forced to stay in a magic-resistant environnt.
But now, thanks to your benevolent supplent, I can participate in these events for a short ti under the protection of the Magic Resistance Bracelet."
